The *** / DMV found no wrong doing. This lady is way out of line. This is unjust untrue and we were found NOT to have done any wrong doing via DMV or state laws. How is this okay? She is unhappy with the findings. But we made ZERO violations. Now she threatens to blast us on ******** and BBB which she is doing. She knows how important and how hard we work to keep our relationships with customers 100% positive. We feel strongly that the BBB is failing us on this one. DMV, *** is no longer interested in any further of her complaints in this is why she has involved your agency.. We spent hours and hours dealing with this frivolous complaint. She is currently being trespassed from our lot and no longer can call me or my son who is 17. Never a complaint to BBB zero. As you can probably tell in our tone we have been dragged through this already by her so I do apologize. She has wrongfully accused us. Im going to fight this with everything I have. We work extremely hard to maintain our incredible reputation. She knows that and after the *** and DMV findings now this is what shes doing, trying to hurt us. Why are we taking a hit for that? We have already spent a lot of time responding/replying and money on this complete frivolous complaint. Now we have a third agency involved after the first two dropped it? The other two are not pursuing anything after the response. When will she stop harassing us? Police are going to be notified. I have zero control of your decision. I very much look forward to your response.
Did you know that she bought the car from us over a year ago and NOW shes complaining that she thinks the car is wrecked. She also traded a car in to us, and now that she wants us to fix what she thinks is damage from a wreck before she bought it which is completely untrue. Can we then send her a bill to have her trade in repaired one year later it had some issues she did not declare? She is a very picky buyer (which is not a bad thing) we knew that from all the other stories she said about other local car purchases. We made sure the car was right. She said she would only do business with us based on our reputation and how much time we helped her for free and we were happy to. She traded a car to us that she states didnt know that had oil leaks in it, so why would it be unfair for us to then ask her to fix that car that she traded to us a year ago just as she expects here? This buyer has known us and been around since we opened in 2018 who was referred to us by her daughter who worked at the same hospital at that I did at time. She often stopped at the lot requesting advice, we would always run out and fix little things for her on her cars that she did not buy from me. We were also are happy to help and is why we are successful even as small as we are. She was very happy with the purchase she would go on and on about how much she loved her car and that she finally found the one. She also shared in great detail why she only wanted to buy from us as she had been taken by other dealerships. I told her we understand that and yes unfortunately it does happen even in our small town. Now a year later shes coming back was saying she wants $1500 for the damage? What damage?! How do we know that car did not get hit in a parking lot or she didnt wreck over the last year? Now she wants us to be responsible? There is NO way we would knowingly put any car on our lot with damage without declaring it period! We have proven that. Ive reached out to speak to other dealers for advice, even the one she took the car to. They said we would love the work but youd be crazy paying for it. That we are not liable for it in anyway or form. This is from a major new car dealership. Did she tell you that we also Paid for and Gave her a three month **** mile free warranty on her car when she bought it? Not 1 other dealer in our area does that. I put them on all my cars that qualify free and thats in part why weve been so successful. No other dealership does this in fact Ive taken grief for it from other dealers as they only sell the warranty and is s big part of their profits. See we dont need to sell a car there is zero pressure on our customers or us. We dont have employees and a huge overhead and we already make a good living with our full-time work. Our prices are so low sometimes we are asked whats wrong go with it? We just are in a position where we are never in a hurry to get a car to the lot or hurry to sell it. We rather make sure its right and ready. You have to really be on your game in this business in a small town where everyone knows us. Bad business practice would destroy my family and all its relationships. This small car lot is NOT more important than my family, its reputation/relationships and what we do for our community. In addition, we dont feed our family on this income. She voiced how happy she was and would drive it by the lot to show it off. This lady is completely out of line. Did she also inform everyone.
1. A few days after she purchased a car as-is from our business a couple days later she returned and did not like the battery tie down bracket which worked well. So for free we purchased and installed what she wanted for free.
2. One of the tire pressure sensor went bad weeks later which is never under warranty on used vehicles. With no questions we jumped in it sent it to tire store and paid for replacement right away.
3. This unit came with a 10 touch screen radio etc, She stopped many times requesting assistance. We always jumped out there and helped providing training.
4. Prior to purchasing any item from us she would often stop by to ask for car buying advise. She shared how other dealerships have taken advantage, we would gladly share what we knew to assist.
We have demonstrated here and with all our customers that we mean and stand by our mission.
The car lot is real small we average 4-5 cars on our lot sometimes less. I work fulltime as a Registered Nurse my wife is a Psychologist, my two sons are honor roll students. I coached sports at Our local *********** for 12 years. We are a successful very small single family car lot in which I started 5 years ago with my 12 year old son at the time who is now 17.
Im sure you could appreciate a small dealership in a small town run by a single family that has no interest knowingly selling any vehicle that has anything knowingly wrong. If we were to do that wed get run out of town between me working in the hospital and coaching my wife being a psychologist my boys being involved in the school, that would be a formula for disaster. We know almost everybody in this community we would get ran out of here and ruin my kids, wife and my valued relationships in this community. I have sold many cars to physicians nurses and dentists and business owners. We have an outstanding relationships with with the community and the ********** of ***** Vehicles who regulates us. We support our community. We donate money to the community and to the schools. Im just trying to paint a picture that we really do work hard to do things right. I understand used car salesmans / dealerships have bad reputations and some really deserve it. Customers often times come see us after they bought a car less than a year ago and they show me the deal and see if I can help. I feel nauseous after reviewing them. What some off these dealers write up and sell disgust me. We have a proven record of treating our customers right. Thats why she reached out to us. If she contacts my 17 year old son and makes any complaints threats or otherwise Im calling the police instantly! The last thing we want is a false negative review from a wrongfully disgruntled lady that cannot be reasoned with. Even though law and everything else states we did absolutely nothing wrong and continues to practice fair business that over 500 customers have all been very happy with a very large percentage returning for a second or third vehicle. I can send you the same response I sent other agencies.
Did you also know we reached out an olive branch and offered $500 bucks as I stated continued customer service. She refused it. After further research and networking we were under no obligation to do that. In fact, were advised NOT to do that and stated that we are in no way required and may only make it worse based on her past behaviors.
Im a Nurse, my wife is a Psychologist, we are trained to help people, we have taken that oath thats what we do, its in both our DNA we heal and help, not harm and take advantage of. We carry that same way of thinking to our business model. We have a strong belief in our mission statement. We believe in quality rather than quantity, we build a relationships based on trust, integrity and continued customer service.
