    This business owes me $800 and $1,358.78, amounts which were taken from my checking account on March 2nd, 2024 for an apartment lease application at Wimbledon Square through the ActiveBuilding portal for a lease that I was never approved for, and later rejected for.On March 6th, I canceled my application, and I received an email on March 7th, ************************************************************************ since I was not approved for the apartment. However, as of May 1st, 2024, I have not received the promised refund check.I have made multiple attempts to contact their office by phone and email to inquire about the status of my refund, but I have not received any clear response or resolution, and have not gotten a response to an email since March 7th, 2024, other than an acknowledgment that an email had been forwarded to upper management with no further information. Furthermore, I was informed via email on March 26th, 2024 that my application for the apartment was rejected, nearly three weeks after I had canceled my application and was promised a refund.The failure to issue the refund in a timely manner and the lack of communication from their office are unacceptable. I am kindly requesting that you help me get the full refund of $2,158.78 as soon as possible. Ive attached proof of the payments for a deposit, first months rent for March 2024 (pro-rated), a promise to refund my money because the application was never approved, and the formal rejection of my application, proving that I paid money for an apartment I was never approved for.

    This image is a screenshot of my email from them that prompted me to pay the security deposit and first month's rent (pro-rated) for the apartment they rejected me from.  I have still received no refund.

    The business said they sent a check from CA on 05/13/2024, and Ive received nothing yet. Since Im in OR, it shouldve arrived earlier this week at the latest. 

    It is very hard to reach anyone at the business.  Ive been trying to resolve this for nearly three months now with no luck.

    Wimbledon Square and Gardens management communicated to me that my check had been mailed on 05/13/2024. It had not arrived by 05/24/2024, so I contacted their assistant manager, *****, on the same day, who told me it takes 6-8 weeks to process checks. 

    This is illegal according to Oregon law ******, which states that a landlord has up to 31 days to return the funds. In addition, section 16 now indicates Im due twice the funds since they been held over ************************************ bad faith

    I am now requesting twice the amount of the money paid.

    We referred someone to Wimbledon square several months ago, there is a referral bonus of 200 dollars off your rent if you refer someone and they move in and after they are living here 90 days you are supposed to get 200 dollars off your rent, ( we also have an email chain from the front office saying we would receive the bonus on Octobers rent since September 15 was the 90 days. now they are refusing to give us the referral bonus, this is false advertising. it is on their website stating the referral bonus. doesn't surprise me this place is about as shady as apartments Begin forwarded message:From: Wimbledon Square And Gardens <***********************************************>Date: July 25, 2023 at 11:16:30 AM PDT To: ********************* Subject: Referral bonus Reply-To: Wimbledon Square And Gardens <****************************************************>?Hi, you should be eligible to collect the referral bonus of $200 by September 15, 2023 for referring ***************.
