  In August of 2018 I purchased a townhome in *******, ******. During the home inspection, a belly was identified in the sewer line, which allowed for 20+ feet of standing water and grease to remain in the pipe. The sellers agreed to have the sewer repaired prior to closing on the sale of the home. The sellers, unknowingly to me, hired River City Environmental (RCE) to complete the sewer repair and entered into contract with them. It was later explained to me the sellers did not have liquid cash on hand to pay for the work, so an agreement was made between them and RCE to pay for the job with the proceeds of the home post-closing. Unfortunately, the sellers never paid RCE for the work they had done. For the past three years I have received periodic demand notices from RCE for payment owed to them by the sellers they went into contract with. After receiving each demand letter, either myself or my realtor reached out to RCE to explain the situation, and how I did not order the work, did not sign any contract for the work, and that I purchased the house after the work had been completed. Each time RCEs response has been they were just trying to make waves in hopes the sellers would do the right thing and pay their outstanding bill. RCE representatives have even suggested to me that I contact the sellers, who are complete strangers to me, and put pressure on them myself. The representative also told me they found I was liable to pay the outstanding bill because I, Benefited from the work that was done. As of today (6/14/2023) I have been served with paperwork from the *********************** of Multnomah County, ******. RCE has listed the sellers, their realtor, my realtor, and myself as defendants in a $10,512 lawsuit. RCE is intentionally choosing to ignore the facts of who they entered the contract with and are now attempting to drag uninvolved parties through the court system. Their behavior is unethical and is unbecoming of professional business.

  We use River City for a number of commercial properties we manage in and around ********. River City has been professional, experienced, solution focused and communicative. They are also very cognizant of the building's tenants and will work around schedules as to not be disruptive. They have handled everything from basic plumbing, new installs, storm line jetting, jetting large clogs and scoping and mapping sewer lines. Overall, they are great to work with and highly recommend.

  I would not recommend this company to anybody I had them come twice to my house in the last yr to drian my septic tank tht was full to the top paid $454 or so for thousand gallon septic tank 50 cents a gallon anything over capacity is 60 cents called them again the prices were still the same they drained it said it was gona be 854 they would email the receipt never did til I looked at my bank account and got a hold of them they ended up charging me **** told the person on the phone after going back and forward this how you do business and treat your costumers you lie to them then you rip them off and immediately send them the receipt witch they used to rip you off asked to talk to a Manger person said no one is available I wouldn't recommend these lying scammers or make sure you get your receipt before they leave your house that's how they get you some of those guys they send out aren't even licensed person on the phone didn't even no who was licensed and who wasnt they were like just talk to them when they get there they help you anyways I just can't believe how they did me wrong and lied to my face and just take wht they want out of my bank account and it's ok to just do that to anybody
