I am reaching out to the BBB for assistance before contacting the **** My fianc purchased an engagement ring from Littman Jewelers at the ******************* in *********************** back in 2019. I recently took the ring to be inspected and it had to be sent out for repairs to a couple of the diamonds. They said they would call as soon as it came in, but never did. I called on the promise date and they said the ring was there and I picked it up. It looked different to me, but I thought maybe it was because they had it for an entire month and it was just me. After a couple weeks, I had to call. 2 of the stones are much darker that the rest and they built up 2 prongs in the setting that are much larger than the others and completely ruin the symmetry in the ring. I called and spoke with the *********************** location and shared concerns. They said to bring it in and they would send it back out for repairs. But they were unapologetic and didnt seem to care. I am concerned with the caliber of service and quality of work now that they are closing so many locations. After talking to my fianc and not feeling confident in their commitment to the contract, I reached out to Ms. ***** Cuskishko at ************. I left messages on 11/22 and 11/29/2021, but no response.All I want is commitment and fulfillment of the protection plan that was purchased. I want the quality of the work and treatment to the diamonds to be of the same caliber as always. And I want to know the stones in my ring are actually diamonds!Initial Complaint

I purchased a lifetime warranty for a wedding ring. The warranty states it is only good as long as you bring the ring into Fred Meyer Jewelers every six months or it is void. All the stores closed so it is not possible to bring the ring in. I contacted Fred Meyer Jewelers and they said they would refund the warranty providing I provide them with a receipt. I provided them with a receipt via certified mail which received on 5/13/2021. It is now November and they have not reimbursed me for the warranty.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I have been waiting 8 months for this now. I should see my refund within the next month or I will reopen this claim and share my experience with Fred Meyer Jewelers online for others to see.

Good afternoon. I made an order of band ring on 9/13/2021 at Fred Mayer Jewelry at **** **** **** *** ******* ** ******We was looking for ring with yellow Dimond. So they proposed to buy earrings with yellow diamonds and place them into the ring costumer made it. We chose band type of ring. Two rings in one which middle one coming in and out. They soldered them together and make it in one piece and job it is looks awful. We tried to talk with them to be fixed or to return but they said it is final sale and now they will not do anything. Price is 3,603.74$. We opened credit card with them to pay in 12 months. I don't have even any certificate. Middle ring is not in a middle just the stone. In a case I can do more picture.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I got call from office and they contact me with manager. When I was there before twice in their store there are was a man which told me that he is manager but he is not. He didn't wanna do anything. However I talked with manager and she is really nice. They fixed the problem and now it is look perfect. Thank you so much for help.

Oct., 2019, Fred Meyer resized my blue ring. My husband picked it up, It was boxed a few months until I wore it. Uncomfortable, I analyzed poor workmanship. COVID began, delaying my visit to the jeweler. 10/2020, I spoke directly to Kat/Cat (employee). She told me to bring in the repair receipt. I brought 2 repair receipts (attached). COVID slowed; I spoke to employee Ryan Bach (held the ring & copies of the receipts for Manager Kat/Cat's review). She phoned 7/19/21 stating, "...cannot find any record/paper copy... nothing in computer to verify this ring was worked on... we do not keep info of what we did/what item is... One item in computer: infinite ring." It is not customer fault for F.M.'s inadequate record-keeping. (I was told F.M. only keeps F.M. purchase history/repairs on file - i.e. infinite ring - not repairs of other merchants' products). This ring flaw is jeweler error (Kat/Cat said in 10/2020 the specific jeweler was let go because of his quality of work). Please resolve!Business response

Fred Meyer has repaired the ring to an acceptable condition. I thank this establishment kindly for resolving this issue. I would encourage Fred Meyer Jeweler establishments to maintain accurate records for repairs done through their stores - even if the item was purchased elsewhere but sized/fixed at Fred Meyer stores... just a respectful suggestion.
