On April 12th **** (sales person) stopped by and offered pest control solution's that my current pest control company wasn't. Namely, to take off electrical outlet face plates and administer poison in my kitchen to kill carpet beetles deep into the walls.The tech came over today (April 14th) to service our residence. When he arrived his notes were to target ants which was incorrect. When **** was here on April 12th I took a picture of the carpet beetle and it still got report as ants. After removing face plates on outlets it was clear that the electrical box wasn't going to allow the tech to administer the poison as we agreed to on April 12th deep into the walls where the carpet beetle nests were. The reason is due to no access due the electrical box in each outlet. The tech did find tiny holes to administer on the side of the electrical box but nothing like **** told me on the 12th. **** told me more than once they could drop the poison deep into the walls to kill nests of carpet beetles. Since this was not possible I cancelled my service within the 3 business day window on April 14th. I was then charged a "promotional discount" of $350. The carpet beetle proposal was the entire reason I signed up in the first place.On top of this the upper eve's were not treated and the lower eves still had half of a wasp nests still attached. Again, promises made but not kept. The tech could not treat the outside perimeter due to running out of granules that Insight Pest was out of until mid week. I told them I don't want back and forths because they either are not doing the job correctly or because of a supply issue which is not my problem. I honestly believe this was a good old fashion bait and switch gambit to get me to sign up. and I don't want other people to fall for this.I'm happy to pay for service provided today at our agreed upon price of $100 per quarter but not $350 for not something they told me can be done that can't.Business Response

I had the chance to speak with *** *******. It was a very nice conversation and we were able to come to an agreement. We will be refunding him the $350. He let me know he was not trying to make our company look bad but felt like he couldn't get someone to listen and so reached out this way. in August of 2024 i signed up with Insight Pest Control fully prepared to use their services. since then i have lost two jobs and can no longer afford the monthly payments. to date I have paid $359.96. when I spoke to someone (I believe *****) in December or January I explained I could no longer afford their services and explained why and they did suspend one payment and offered me a reduction in monthly payments $49.00 a mo. instead of $69.00 a month.. I spoke to them today and they told me if I cancel my account they will charge me a $250.00 cancellation fee (Which I put a stop payment on) and if they can't collect that, turn me into collections. to date they have preformed three tratments.Business Response

I had the opportunity to speak with **** this morning. Everything she said was correct. There is a cancelation fee for closing your agreement early. However, I told her that in this case, we will be able to refund her the $250 for the cancelation fee and that her account would be fully closed. We hired them specifically to address a rat issue and were explicitly clear from the start that we wanted ethical, non-toxic rat control methods. Both in the contract and during multiple conversations with their technicians, we made it known that no pesticides, insecticides, or poisons were to be used under any circumstances.Despite these clear instructions, they proceeded to spray pesticides and insecticides, contaminating our organic garden. This is a blatant violation of our agreement, and it shows a complete disregard for customer preferences and ethical practices.Business Response

We had a rep come out from insight pest solutions at 8pm at night he dis regarded the no soliciting sign and at first I said yes and he took down my info on his tablet to do services for 69 dollers but failed to tell us it was monthly instead of seasonal upon figuring this out on my own I cought back up with him and told him we changed are minds and no longer would like serviced he said that's fine and that he will let his service manager know and that it would not go through so I got on there website and it says I'm still signed up for services but he forged my signature for a higher amount at ***** instead of actually canceling it before it got started this is unacceptable and I'm tempted to contact a attorney about all this I have the original and the one he forged all I wanted to do was let him know we changed are mind and cancel before anything got started now I can't even contact there office because it's so late I just want to cancel before any charges go through and they know forgery is absolutely not ok I am extremely upsetBusiness Response

She was very nice to work with and I appreciate that she let me speak with her. On 05/21/2024 a salesperson (***************************) knocked on my door past 8pm. He sold me a service in which a technician would come once a month and treat my yard for mosquitos. He said that they were having a promotion where the initial $250 fee was waived, and monthly treatment was $50 a month for six months of service from April to October. I told him that I was concerned about my budget long-term. He assured me that I could cancel at any time without penalty. He took my credit card info and verbally summarized the contract terms outlined above and had me sign on his iPad. He said a technician would be out at 6pm on 06/28. The "treatment" did NOT work. I called Insight to see if they could do a re-treatment since the first one didn't take. Neither the second spray, nor the regular spray in June worked. Called Insight 06/24 and spoke to ***** to cancel the service since it wasn't working and I was having money issues. She said that I signed a contract and there was a cancellation fee. What? I search my email and find the contract I signed back in May in my Junk folder. Had no idea it was there. Sure enough it mentions a cancellation fee and says the $50/month runs til April 2025 even though I won't be getting service Nov-April. Completely different than I was told. ***** said I'd get a callback in ***** hours. On 06/26 after 48 hours I called again and spoke to *****, who said I'd get a callback before 5pm that day. I called again 06/27 and spoke to Brooklyn who connected me with ****. **** was very rude, said I needed to pay over $500 to cancel. I told him the spray didn't even work and I couldn't afford that. He said I signed the contract so he couldn't do anything because I should have read it better. Incredibly deceptive business tactics. I was lied to and manipulated into a contract I didn't agree to. It's been less than a month, and I just want to cancel the service. They also must delete bad ****** reviews. They have a 4.9 rating but terrible ******** reviews.Business Response

Someone knocked on my door and I signed up for the service for one year. What they didn't tell me is that there was a fee to cancel the service until after I called with questions about the contract. I have been calling for the last week trying to cancel the service and still have not received a call back from the "cancellations" department, even though every time that I call I am being told someone will give me a call back. I would because its shady to not tell a person that there is a fee to cancel, and even worst to not call your customer back when they want to cancel the service. When I finally did speak to someone they refused to let me out of the contract without the full cancellation fee.Business Response

I know she asked for a refund but the charge had never gone through, so there was no refund to give. I did zero out the invoice though for said refund so nothing would ever be charged. I think our conversation ended on a good note and even though we are going our separate ways, I hope she realizes that we do try to do our best and truly do care about our customers.

My encounter with Insight Pest Solutions initiated with a salesperson who blatantly disregarded the "no soliciting" sign on my front door, raising initial concerns about their professionalism. Despite our reservations, we decided to proceed based on promises of a guaranteed solution to our persistent ant problem at a discounted rate, with the flexibility to cancel at any time. Regrettably, after seven months and three technician visits, our ant issue persisted. The promised regular communication and appointments were nonexistent, requiring me to initiate contact for each service. Contrary to assurances, I never received the return calls promised by the salesperson. Frustrated with the lack of results and communication, attempts to discuss canceling our subscription were met with unfulfilled promises of callbacks. Subsequently, when I finally reached a representative, I was informed of a $350 cancellation fee, on top of the $294 paid for ineffective visits. This seemed unjust, considering Insight Pest Solutions failed to fulfill their commitments. Moreover, they now threaten to send us to collections for the cancellation fee. Ironically, their promptness in contacting me for payment contrasts sharply with their earlier lack of communication when addressing service issues. This conduct is not only unacceptable but also unethical. In an attempt to resolve the situation, Insight Pest Solutions offered a reduced fee of $150, or else they would escalate the matter to collections. This proposal is illogical, given that we've already paid for services that failed to deliver the promised results. Their attempt to justify the discount by citing their proximity is irrelevant, as we never requested such a discount and did not receive the promised communication. The subscription was canceled due to Insight Pest Solutions' inability to provide promised results or maintain open communication. As we've already paid for ineffective services, we owe nothing further.Business Response

Let me count the ways that this company operates under shady practices:Deception Sales person came promised more services than our prior provider. Instead, they did less. Instead of having mouse bait traps (which work), they put out a single sticky pad which are easy to avoid, and also cruel for the rodent who will just slowly die of starvation.Empty Promises They said they would spray something inside the walls to keep rodents away. This service was not performed at all.Lies Since we were happy with our prior provider, sales person specifically promised a try out of the new services with Insight, telling us we can cancel at any time if we are not satisfied, yetFraud They relied on a contract which notes a cancellation fee, but that was something I had never seen before, and it is NOT my signature on the contract. So despite sales lying about the term and not having a valid signed contract, they are enforcing a $380 cancellation fee.These guys are the epitome of shady, underhanded business tactics. Empty promises, and a classic bait and switch (no pun intended) of services. Furthermore, I know that we are not the only people they have victimized. I am rejecting this response because the business has not yet refunded the money. It has been more than three business days and the charge has not yet been applied back to my account. Additionally, I wrote to the business again today to follow up on this and ask for an estimated time, and the business did not respond. So this feels like a continuation of the scam that they are running, and I will leave this claim open until I get the money back.

sometime in July a rep from the company approached my home offering pest control with inside and outside service at a promotional fee, then a monthly fee but never fully explained they were only going to service my home quarterly unless I c called them out to do more. ******* also said I didn't have to continue the service if I didn't want to and I attempted to cancel and received a cancellation notice and fees equalling $399. I got home from work one day and saw a guy going door to door in my neighborhood. He also noticed me pulling into my empty driveway. A few moments after I went inside I got a knock at my door. I told the salesman that any decision that was to be made would have to be made by my boyfriend who wasnt home at the time. He said well thats alright let me just get your info (including my card number and signature) and Ill come back tomorrow when hes home to make sure its alright before starting up your account but he never came back and now the company is trying to charge me 56 dollars a month and when I called to tell them Im not even supposed to have an account they just said well we have your signature on file and if you want to cancel now its gonna cost 400 dollars Im super ****** and I think their tactics are shady malicious and unethicalBusiness Response

Thank you for reaching out. It looks like there have been concerns with your account, and I appreciate you allowing us to discuss it with you here. The only documentation we have with your salesman is the agreement I have attached, you have mentioned a recording that you have of that conversation, but you have not provided us with a copy. We do have from your texts, and the technician's notes, that you were home for the first service, and gave permission for that service to go forward. So with the signed document and the approval of the service we had all indications to move forward. You would not give us an updated email to provide you with another copy of your agreement, but I have included one here for you to review. It looks like we did not hear any concerns until you were asking how quickly and efficiently the service would work. When a supervisor tried to reach out to help you understand how the service works, you did not respond except to text in your concerns when a conversation to both receive and give proper understanding is missed. We work to be as up front as possible with our customers, and the continuous communications about payment is because you did not refuse the service, but have refused to pay for the service. We want to work with you, and make sure that you have the best pest control experience possible, but we do need communication to make that possible. There are ways that pests respond to service, and we provide a full service including interior and exterior treatments, as well as reservices to address concerns that can come up in-between the quarterly services. Please let us know how you would like us to proceed. You can get on a call with one of our supervisors, as we have asked to set up, we can continue in email if you prefer written, or we can communicate through the BBB who has provided this avenue for us.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: its b.s. because I told the sales guy it doesnt matter what I say its not my decision to make, but he insisted I give him my info and he would come back n check with my boyfriend before the service was rendered. He agrees n then the next day comes and someone else shows up and immediately gets out of his truck n starts sweeping my gutter. He wasnt there to confirm the service with my boyfriend as promised they already had what they needed from me. So they lied to me! PERIOD! Anything that happened after that is irrelevant!

I have attached some screenshots of the messages you are sending **, and the notes on your account our representatives have kept during the process of trying to communicate with you. We have continually tried to send and receive information, as well as get on the phone with you to see how we can get this resolved, but you are only sending frustrated texts. The texts have accusations that mostly do not make sense, if what you have said our salesman has promised you, he would be working for free, which does not benefit him, the company, or you. When we have asked for the video footage you have said backs your claims, you have refused. You will not receive further attempts from our company to contact you, we have turned you on to collections after our many months of trying to communicate with you. If you wish to get on the phone and discuss your account we are willing, and have tried ourselves to do this, but with our requests we will wait for you to reach out to us.
