1 starI ordered a pair of shoes on the Keen Footwear website-after noticing I ordered the wrong ones--it was within minutes-I stated chatting with them to try and cancel my order to try and correct it-they said they will not cancel orders?? until have to wait until you get them and then return them!! 1 starThey've gone from, quality shoes that will last years, to let's throw something together that will only last 8 months... On top of that, customer service is non existent. They sent me a pair of defective boots. They told me to email them when I sent them off & let me know if I wanted an exchange or a refund. I sent the package off, & within an hour they refunded my money without a confirmation from me. Call them up & find out their employee messed up & put it down as an "Automatic Return." They didn't even give me the full refund... When I asked what could be done? "We'll you can buy the shoes again. & no, we can't give you the full refund now because our employee already pushed it through." Great shoes, horrible service. Every time I call they have a different excuse for why they won't answer the phone (not can't, but won't). First excuse was understandable: it's a weekend and we're closed. Okay, that's fine. Second excuse: we are currently away from the phone right now. It was on a Monday at ten in the morning, and I called again an hour later and got the same message. Not even a message asking me to stay on the line and wait for an operator, it just basically says "we can't come to the phone right now" and hangs up. Third excuse: "We are on our lunch break." So not a single person can hold down the fort while other coworkers are out for lunch? Literally everyone has to leave for lunch at the same time? Also everytime I call the machine just refers me to the website. Why even bother having a phone number if you are never going to use it? Also the service on the site ***** too. Everytime I ask a question on there they say it will take 4-5 business days to get back to me and they don't answer until a week or two later. Wonderful shoes, but really sh*tty service, pardon my french.KEEN

Keen claims to warranty their shoes for a year. I convinced my husband to buy 80 dollar shoes for my 6 year old based on the logic that they last longer. Within one months the picks on the shoes laces broke. I went to keens website and spoke with the chatbot. The chatbot did not understand me and a human had to get in and help. This person then directed me to fill out a form on the website rather than actually helping me. I did not receive an answer from keen for more than a week! And they told me to buy another pair of laces. They dont guarantee the laces. Wow. I will be sure to NEVER buy keens again. I will buy the cheap shoes from target. They last longer.KEEN

I put in an online order yesterday and came back to cancel the order. The order has not been shipped and was still in processing. There is no option to cancel or modify an order. I spoke with someone named ***** and she informed me that they do not allow a person to cancel or modify their order, once you have hit the submit button. The purchaser has to wait for them to package and ship the order to you, then you have to package and ship it back. I am very shocked to see a company that claims to have a positive impact on the worlds resources, chose this as a policy. I would understand if the item was already shipped but the order wasn't even ready. This is a waste of resources and very disappointing. I would expect this from a shady company oversees but an ****** company that claims to be environmentally conscientious?? Clearly they are not. Once I ship the items back, I will not be modifying my order I will go somewhere else. I advise anyone who is believing that they are buying a better shoe/experience just because of their advertising to really consider other options.KEEN

I have a pair of Keen Targhee II hiking shoes. I used them 4X and the soles and treads came unglued. The treads showed no wear at all, but yet failed. I sent them to *********************, Keen's CEO. They refused the shipment (which I paid $21.25 to return). They did not even open the box. What kind of customer service is that? Upon receiving my shoes back, I went and checked their reviews and this is an obvious problem they know about. This company does not stand behind their products. I've owned at least a dozen pairs of Keen's and will probably never do business with them. I expect to get a lame response as they have given other customers. Look at *****************, and Columbia...better quality with strong companies that stand behind their products.KEEN

***** H Company is a complete ripoff. I ordered boots as a Christmas present for my husband. Shortly after he broke his foot and was unable to use the boots for several months. When he attempted to wear them after his cast came off they didnt fit. The reason being that they had mistakenly sent a size 8 boot which was incorrect because I ordered a size 9. I sent my order confirmation and a picture of the boots clearly showing that it was a mistake on their part. Their comment back was sorry that my boots didnt work out but due to the age of the order they cannot accept the return. I didnt want to return them. I wanted what I paid for which was $210 for a size 9 boot.KEEN

1 starIm unbelievably disappointed in this company. Ive had 3 pairs of their hiking boots 2 of which I got from warranty claims because the sole of my boots delaminated in weeks. I recently bought a pair of their work boots where I had the same problem and had to make another warranty claim. The company was good enough to give me a voucher for the value of the boots and so i thought Id pitch in an extra $60 and get a slightly more pricey pair of boots. When I received the boots, it was just before Christmas and was off work by the time I tried the boots on and found they were too small It had been more than 30 days since I ordered them when I contacted the company to return the boots for a larger size they said that I was over the 30 day limit and they were not going to replace them for me and were not going to return my $60. 1 starI bought a shoe from Keen for 40 dollars. During the online purchase, all information l saw on the website showed free-no question return for 30 days. The shoes did not fit well and l wanted to return. Now, Keen wants me to pay 10 dollars to return the item. They say lm responsible for the shipping. I didnt see this information while shopping. When l called them about this, the representative repeated company rules 5 times although l told her that l understood her the first time. The attitude of the representative was very unhelpful and unfriendly. Im very unhappy with Keen. And it is very unfair that l have to pay 10 dollars for return of an item that l paid 40 dollars. 1 starThus is my 5th pair of boots I bought from keen, and honestly, they no longer have the quality they used to, and theyre having some trouble with the color of their boots. I just bought a pair of boots, I ordered the same boots I had bought before and they arrived a different color, i checked my order, i checked their website and it looks like theyre changing the name of the colors.
