      On July 26th I leased/finance a 2017 ******* accent with a branded title and knew it was in a wreck previously. However there was undisclosed frame damage. This car also had early transmission issues, which didnt become a bigger problem until around 6 or 7 months in, causing the ****** to go out and the catalytic converter to implode. As well as in a few months in the overflow tank being cracked. Fast forward to me spending $1,000s on this car not to mention already being overpriced on a 6k car. I was sold at originally 14k but put a down payment 2k with a interest rate being basically 23% making it around 24k total for the vehicle. The dealership is only offering to trade in the car. But they sell wrecked/ repaired cars that only last less than 6 months it seems like from all the negative reviews on ******* Now after replacing the ****** (refurbished) and welding the catalytic converter together, the vehicle is now burning oil like crazy, making a knocking sound, pretty sure the alignment is off. Its a mess under the hood Ill say. Ive done as much as contacting the bank and the dealership. Neither can help because Im a year in with the warranty being gone within 30 days of purchase. I was also told this car was fixed and wasnt going to have issues. The ****** went from very very very slight hard gear changes to very hard gear changes to going out. I can send any proof documentations that I bought the car etc.

      To Whom It May ************************* is in response to **************** complaint #********-BC560. 

      Firstly, ************ purchased her vehicle on July 24, 2022 (nearly 13 months ago). Initially when she purchased the vehicle, we agreed to repair the air conditioning on the vehicle. We wrote in the work order that we had the option to repair the A/C or unwind the car deal. WE repaired the air conditioning per the work order to **************** satisfaction. (PLEASE SEE WORK ORDER ATTACHED) Also, please see the lower portion of the same attachment stating "Vehicle sold strictly as is! (Except indicated on warranty contract and stated above. No other work promised or due."

      Also, we have the customer sign a buyers guide which states that we include a 50/50 30 day warranty on covered systems on each vehicle we sell. (Also see attached) 

      ************ states that the vehicle is Salvaged. Obviously this isn't true. We have every customer sign a copy of the Carfax report on every vehicle sold. Please see the attached signatures on EVERY page of the Carfax. Also, we have provided a clean, unbranded title to **************** lender, Consumer Portfolio Services. 

      At City Auto Wholesale we try our very best to make all our customers happy. This is why we offer these FREE fixes and 50/50 dealer warranties for up to 30 days free of charge. This vehicle was purchased over a year ago. At what point does the owner assume responsibility for their purchase? I am trying to understand ************** frustration, but I feel we have lived up to our obligations and have gone above and beyond our obligations. We fixed everything she asked us to fix according to the paperwork. Also, it's obvious that the vehicle does not have any brands on the title. 

      It's unfortunate that ************ is unhappy with her vehicle. If this was a problem within a realistic timeframe, we certainly would have helped her. At this point, 13 months later, we feel that her driving may be the main factor in the transmission issues she's had, since the vehicle was fine when she purchased it.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      This company has NOT gone above and beyond I was sold a vehicle that wasnt suppose to be sold and should be ILLEGAL to drive. You offered to fix my car or put me in another vehicle that was mostly likely wrecked too because all the inventory there is wrecked and repaired vehicles. Why would I trust the dealership that gave me a vehicle stating it was fixed to fix it again ? This company has MANY negative reviews with the same problem.  This dealership is nothing but a scam.

      Also this vehicle wasnt fine when I first got it. The frame is messed up, and it had transmission problems from the START.

      I spoke with other knee from City of holsom sales they said they help people with no credit and that they are kind of ****** cars but still cars that are completely functional that won't have problems within just the month of having my car I've had to have so many problems and so much money put into it I've basically bought the car by buying all the other stuff along with I now have to go buy it a part to fix my cylinder or well have a professional fix it which is going to cost me at least $7,000 because as of right now the car is not drivable and it's so bad I took it to three other dealerships and was told by three other dealerships not to pay a single dime on my car I was told by ************** was told by **** and I was told by ************* not to pay a single dime on that car because of how much things were wrong with it they all even suggested I call the better business bureau because by law is not allowed to be sold with a broken windshield is what they said so I'm coming to you guys hoping that I can get this situated out cuz I want the car but I also don't want the car because of all the problems that are happening

      To Whom It May ***************** May 6th, 2023, ****************** came to our store in search of a vehicle. After showing ****************** several cars, he test drove and chose our 2015 **** Focus to purchase. ****************** was very happy and excited that we were able to obtain financing for him through Steel Lending. He signed all the paperwork (available upon request) including a Carfax and Auto Check report.

      ****************** contacted his salesman on June 23rd, 2023 saying he wanted us to come get the car because he thought one of the cylinders went out on the car. He didn't ask us to fix it , but said that he couldn't afford the payment, in part, because "I also have some other stuff. I'm being sued by some family up in Washington for withholding insulin."  (Not sure what he means, but it appears that he has other issues happening that perhaps is affecting his ability to make the payment on the car)

      We offered to take a look at the vehicle, but he needed to get the vehicle to us and suggested for him to contact his insurance to see if they could tow it to our location. That's the last we heard from him until this complaint.

      We offer a 30 day 50/50 warranty (we pay half and the customer pays half on all covered repairs) We were willing to help him with this, despite it being over the 30 days, but the customer had earlier stated that they couldn't pay any part of any repair.

      We feel that we have tried to make this customer happy and have offered solutions for him (50/50 warranty, trying to trade it in) but he either never responded or said that those options wouldn't work for him. 

      Although we know that vehicles sometimes break-down or have unforeseen issues, we, as a company, try to offer solutions to our customers when this happens. This customer, however, was not willing to help his cause and in some instances just didn't respond to any of our offerings.

      On November 28th, 2022, I visited City Auto Wholesale in ********, ** with intentions of purchasing a used vehicle. However, upon learning what the terms were and what vehicle they were going to sell me, I changed my mind and declined their offer. The next day, I received an email regarding my credit score. While I was informed my credit report would be checked, I had no idea as to the number of hard inquiries that would be performed. Not only was my credit ran five times on the 28th, but it was checked again on the 29th and 30th of November. I have had no other interaction with City Auto Wholesale since the evening of November 28th. Due to the inquiries on my credit, my score dropped 34 points and my fico score went down as well.

      on 11/28 *********************** applied for financing. City Auto submitted her application to Mutiple banks in attempted to get a low APR. We were not able to come to terms on a deal. Since the customer did apply for financing we are not able to remove the credit inquiry.

      My transaction with City Auto Wholesale was Thursday morning 10/13/2022. I was approved for an auto loan there so I showed up, they showed me what vehicles I was qualified for. I chose which, test drove, and ended up moving forward with that vehicle. They had me fill out and sign contracts. The salesman **** went to the office and came back and told me that they had change some of my info for how much I pay for rent and to lie to the banks when they call and ask for verification. They put in the system that I only pay $500 a month for rent, I pay $1245, that I put $1250 downpayment, I never paid any money down, they also said they took my car as a trade for $1000, I never even brought the car in to them to evaluate. The car was running fine when I test drove, when I got off the lot only an hour later it started jerking, their was smoke coming from the hood, a gnat infestation, and more. I immediately called them and told them. They offered to fix the car and said for the gnats they didnt know what to tell me. This was at 2pm Thursday evening 10/13/2022. I left the lot at 1pm. I also called the lenders for the loan and told them my situation and they told me that it was okay since I paid no money and they hadnt received any paperwork for the finalization of anything that I could just return the vehicle. When I called the dealership they told me I couldnt return it or get out of my contract that I could only exchange. All the other cars on the lot were much worse or I didnt even qualify. When I brought the vehicle back Friday morning (10/14/2022) I left the keys in the car and had gotten a ride back home from my cousin who witnessed me leave the vehicle, as well as another gentlemen on the lot. As I left the lot I got a call from ****, he was going off on me, telling me I couldnt do that and then threatened me with putting a repo on my record and ruining my credit score. The lenders already knew about everything prior to me returning the vehicle. I want to ****

      My Boyfriend and myself purchased a used 2019 Jeep Renegade from City Auto Wholesale on 04/07/2021, The car started having issues three weeks later after driving it to and from work, on one of my days off i was driving down a main road ****** St and the muffler fell off, i was not happy and the car was very shaky and i tried to reach out to JJ one of their sales managers and he stated that i needed to have it looked at by their Mechanic who i then called and he couldn't get the car looked at for another two weeks so i took the Car to a jeep dealership for them to let me know it was an alignment issue but it could not be fixed as the frame was damaged and my father had to tie up the muffler with metal wire so it wouldn't fall, their was damage to the frame, both thr front tires were completely warn to the threads that i had to replace and **** would not let me leave without a waiver signed. I have tried to talk to them and get these issues resolved several times with ** who sold us the car and their manager **** and neither one of them is willing to do anything other then say its not their problem and they will reach back out to me. I have a ****** loan for a car that is broken essentially i want out of my loan and the car that i traded in back with my previous loan.

      Here at City Auto we provide Carfax and Auto Check on every vehicle sold to aid in disclosing all known information about the vehicles we sell. We would be more then happy to have the mechanics we use take a look at the alignment issues to help our customer. They will just need to set an appointment with the shop we use

      I have tried to set up an appointment with their mechanic and its more then two weeks wait, this is my only form of transportation they do not offer any kind of rental in the meantime. I will only allow their mechanics to look at it if they pay for a rental while its being looked at

      City Auto does not own or operate a a repair facility. We can not control scheduling of other facilities, City Auto does provide a loaner vehicle free of charge while the customers car is at there scheduled appointment.

      city auto only has one loaner car that is not always available for use, so if I fever to take my car in to get checked put and the car is not available at that time then im still screwed over. Then the vehicle will never get fixed.

      I financed a car from here, the check engine light was on it had factory warranty I was told to take it to the factory to have it fixed cuz it's under warranty. After doing so the factory told me I needed to bring the car back because it had been in an accident and that was not on the Carfax there were electrical problems with it I financed the car for around $27,000 we tried to come and work with the business they said they would give us a loaner car we were okay with that. When we got here they tried to give us a two-seater box car that our children cannot fit in. When we explained we could not take this vehicle as a loaner it was not plausible for our needs we were told that's all they had when we asked why are we paying this much for a car when there are already problems with it and it's only got ****** miles we were told and I quote a** *****. I asked who his boss was I was told and again I quote my wife. After trying to bring the car back for the second time we were told that we could not get our original vehicle back for that we use for trade in and that we could not reverse the loan we have been neglected they have been rude and I am still not satisfied.

      After review of the complaint it looks like the check engine light should be covered under the manufactures warranty. City Auto did offer a loaner while the vehicle was getting looked at by a shop we use free of charge, it is unfortunate it did not meet the needs of the customer. Here at City Auto we provide both Carfax and Auto Check reports on the vehicles we sell. I believe on this vehicle The car fax showed no damage, but the Auto Check did show damage. This is exactly why we provide both reports.

      They did not disclose in the car fax that the car was in an accident and should not have been sold it has 8 different recalls. the car has ihad the inspection light on since day 3 They breeched the 30 day exchange policy . I can't even get insurance on it because of the car being in an accident. If I do its because they don't have file I have ...I don't know what too do but need help going after the bond should have too pay for this one at all not going too do this to me or anyone elase anymore....sorry but want exchange the car not pay the payments for this one start fresh

      on 5-17-2022 I went into this dealership with the intent of buying a car. I ended up buying a 2016 ******* Veloster. for $25,812. I got less that 1 mile away from the car lot when the car broke down. They insisted i have it towed back at my expense. I refused. They finally had it towed after me telling them i was going to leave it on the side of the road. Finally on 6-11-2022 they call me and tell me they had it fixed and ready for pick up. I drive over to get it and today 6-12-2022 it's broke down again and won't drive forward or backwards. I've put a total of 45 miles on it since the day it was purchased. They are failing to fixing it correctly and refuse to let me get my $3000.00 down back when i haven't had full possession of the car for more than 24hrs. I've called numerous times and nothing is being handled.

      City auto has paid to replace transmission, City Auto has also provided a loaner vehicle while **************** Veloster has been in the shop. It is unfortunate that the transmission has failed again, but the shop we paid to replace the transmission will warranty their work and fix the transmission again.

      i was promised garanteed a price and a garanteed loan but when i got there the financer told me to ignore what the salesman told me and sent me as a contract in email. He stated that the prices on their website where all wrong. then tried to put me in a vehicle that was over priced with mechanical issues and a check engine light was on, when asked about it he stated that all cars on his lot had check engine lights on and not to worry about it

      At City Auto our website prices are clearly marked,  and updated weekly. The pricing is that same regardless if you are shopping online or in person. This customer was offered a pre approval for financing online, and she was offered financing when she arrived on the lot.
