Bought a vehicle from lot 99. Was told the car passed all mechanical inspections. Got back to bend took it to my mechanic and was quoted $7400.00. The car has so many things wrong with. They are impossible to deal with it you can get ahold of them. This has been a nightmare from the very beginning. There is so much more to this story. It has been the most stressful thing i have ever been through. This company should be out of business. Just read the reviews.Initial Complaint

Lot 99 Used Car Sales is a deceptive and untrustworthy dealership. They sold my 17-year-old son his dream **** 2004 **** S4after he had spent three years saving for it. The Carfax report provided by Lot 99 showed an impeccably maintained vehicle, driven only ***** miles per year, with oil changes every ***** miles and regular servicing. The report made it seem like the car had been meticulously cared for. However, just four days after purchase, the **** broke down and had to be taken to a shop. The mechanic discovered that the coil packs had been replace wrong. causing severe damage to the timing chain. This repair alone cost my son an additional $***** in parts and labor. Then, just two days after getting the car back, the timing chain broke, destroying the engine and leaving the car undrivable and likely unsellable. When we contacted Lot 99, they dismissed our concerns, stating that the car was sold "as-is" and was no longer their responsibility. I strongly believe they were fully aware of these issues before selling the car and deliberately took advantage of my son's trust. I also suspect they somehow doctored the Carfax report, as the condition of the vehicle does not align with the history they provided. After researching further, I found numerous complaints from other buyers who experienced similar situationscars breaking down shortly after purchase, misleading vehicle histories, and a complete lack of accountability from the dealership. Unfortunately, we didnt take those warnings seriously, and now my son is left without a car and out of thousands of ********** a final note, an **** mechanic even mentioned that they "cringe" whenever they see a vehicle with a Lot 99 license plate frame come into the shop. That alone speaks volumes. I urge others to take this warning seriously and avoid Lot 99 at all costs.Initial Complaint

11/20/24 $8,030.00 2008 jeep wrangler white in color Vin#1j4ga39188l524526 ******* miles I was sold this jeep after having a very long conversation with a salesman named **** about its condition, engine status and cleanliness. I was assured the jeep was absolutely running perfect and was serviced and detailed. All of these things were lies. I live in N.Y and had the jeepshipped to my address sight unseen. The jeep arrived two weeks late and with the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, filthy, zero services done, flat tires, and overall nothing like they described. I was simply taken advantage of because i was an out of state buyer. I have been trying to contact any of there managers for two months now. Too no avail. No from there management team will call me back. I have since taken the Vehicle to a repair shop and the repairs are $2000. I would like a refund in this amount.Initial Complaint

I was preapproved for the truck I was looking at, at the dealership on July 12 July 13 I drove out and picked up the truck and was told the bank would call me on the following Wednesday. On the way home from the dealership, the truck threw a check engine light with a permanent code for the *** system (diesel particulate filter). On July 18, they did a regeneration saying that would fix the problem and claimed they did it twice and the code came back on the way back to the dealership from their service center. They told me they had ordered the part and would let me know when it was in to fix. I made several attempts to find out an ETA when the part would show and no one would respond. Then, after two weeks of waiting, I was told they ordered the wrong part and the owner. ******* said he was contemplating not fixing it because they could not secure financing for me. At the point that we reached 30 days I decided I did not want to keep this truck. They could not provide me financing and the truck still had a check engine light so it would not pass smog. I asked for my return on my down payment and was told I would have it upon turning in the truck. When I turned in the truck, they told me they did not have the check that they would mail it the following business day. It has been two weeks since and I still do not have a return on my down payment .Initial Complaint

On April 15th 2024 I purchased a vehicle from Lot 99 LLC. Upon buying it the windshield was cracked which they unprofessionally neglected to consider replacing. Right away I needed to get an oil change and filter replacement. After negotiation, they replaced the windshield. Two weeks later, the brakes started grinding metal on metal. With a completely faulty car I have been close to several accidents with my children in the car because of the bad brakes. They are refusing to make any repairs, after saying they would take care of them. Having this car less than a month shouldnt be this dangerous to drive. They have been completely unethical and disrespectful in talking to me. Im having to use money I dont have to fix a broken car they sold me without warning of any issues. Please contact me about going further with this matter.Initial Complaint

Dealership lied about having ownership of the car they sold me for $25k. They never sent me the title within 2 weeks as promised. When I tried to register the car with my bill of sale and odometer document provided by this dealership I was informed that I cannot register the car because it is not only owned by an Oregon resident it also has a security interest attached to the title by a bank. I have made multiple attempts to contact the dealership about this problem to get it resolved but as soon as I explain the issue they hang up on me. The last person I talked to said Ill hang up on you too and then hung up on me.Initial Complaint

On February 4th I purchased a 2014 Ram 2500 Tradesmen from Lot 99 on **********. They disclosed no known issues. By the time I arrived home from work, the day after I bought the truck, 4th, 5th and 6th gears were gone from the transmission and 3rd gear was going fast. I contacted a shop near me called Advance Transmission and they were able to get me in a week later. After limping the truck in, the mechanics let me know that gears 4 of my gears and clutches were gone and the transmission would need a full rebuild. It was going to cost $6000 dollars. My wife and I had saved enough to cover it so I foolishly told them to repair it. I then began contacting the dealership to let them know as I believe (and the mechanic corroborated) that a failure of that significance doesn't just happen overnight. I let them know that I felt this had to be known and that I should be due some of my money back to compensate for the immediate loss. None of the sales people would help me and said I had to talk to the rep who sold me the truck named ****. I left several messages for him with no call back. When I finally got a hold of him, he said he would talk to the owners and get back to me. Big surprise, he never got back to me. I continued to try and reach him and only got him one more time. He told me the same thing again and again never got back to me. After examining the ppwk I signed and was given for the truck I also realized that they gave me the wrong Carfax report for the vehicle so I bought it not knowing any of its history. I also found out that you can disguise a bad transmission by completing a pressured exchange on the transmission. It only lasts a short time and would explain why they left next to no fuel in the truck when I test drove it. The title showed the truck had been repossessed so I believe they bought it at auction, discovered the issue covered it up and pushed it out the door. I also read there ****** reviews after the fact and this seems to be a pattern here.Initial Complaint

This car dealership sold me a diesel 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee which is impossible to get passed a smog test and is missing all of the factory emissions controls. The parts were purposely removed and I have not been able to find a repair shop that will take the vehicle in for repair. The local Jeep dealerships have stated that the costs to repair this vehicle are so extensive that is NOT cost effective to repair it.None of this was disclosed to me when purchasing the vehicle and even though the vehicle was sold as-is, the federal EPA requirements are the responsibility of the seller. I have opened a case with the Oregon DMV Dealer Investigation team and I have contacted the ****** ********** of ********************************* to file a claim with them. I am 60 years old and this issue may also be considered senior abuse. More documentation to follow as the cases continue to progress.
