      I was driving on a road trip when the warning lights came on in my 2004 Toyota Prius which had gotten serviced just days before at ****************************************** with no issues indicated. I got my car diagnosed at H.I.S. mechanic as needing a replacement for the hybrid inverter coolant pump. They told me there was a voluntary recall for that part and that in all likelihood the dealership would replace it for free. I took the car to Clint Newell Toyota and they couldnt help me that day so I left it with them and had to get a rental car to continue my trip. They called me yesterday quoting me $1,068 for the job, which the price online is nowhere quoted to be more than $500, and thats labor and parts. They arent honoring the recall, either. I have reached out to their customer service and have yet to receive a response. It seems wrong to not honor a recall, and on top of that, to charge me over a thousand dollars for a simple fix.
