I had the complete opposite experience as a guardian for multiple dogs for Ladd Hill Labradoodles. They were easy to work with and always took the dogs well being into consideration. It makes me feel more comfortable that they dont just let anyone raise their puppies, the families that do raise them are trained and experienced, which made me feel more comfortable since they would know what to look for in case there were any complications with my girl or her pups. Im not sure about her contract but In my contract it stated very clearly what would happen if you allowed your dog to be bred without **** Hills consent, and it sounds like they just executed the contract. I could not ask for better dogs and am so thankful to ***************** for these amazing family members.

I had a truly horrible experience as a former guardian with *****************. When I signed up to be a guardian the woman who gave me my dog said I could raise the puppies in my home. She trained me briefly to do so and then I didnt hear from anyone for almost 2 years. When my dog first went into heat the owner had a different employee call me while I was in the car on my way to breed ***** and she informed me I would not be able to raise the puppies in my house. My little girls had been very excited about us raising the puppies and my family is going through some hard times (I have stage 4 breast cancer) so I was upset and argued that wasnt what I signed up for. But, I still took ***** as planned. Then, while sitting in the parking lot of ******* Vet I got a text saying they had taken my dog and terminated my contract. Literally took our family dog away from me and my children after 2 years through the back door! I begged and pleaded for them to return her and they wouldnt even have a conversation with me! Finally, I got a letter from their attorney stating my contract had been terminated, but I could buy our dog back after she had her puppies for $10,000.A few days after this my newly pregnant dog RAN AWAY from them. She was outside alone, wet and cold for over 24 hours! I found her 5 miles away from where she had ran away! She may have died if I hadnt found her. I could have just hidden her then and not told them I found her. But, I told them and she then had two litters of puppies (13 total) for **** Hills profit. The next time ***** went into heat, I had her secured in my backyard and another dog broke through my fence and got to her. A complete accident. I called and told them right away asking what to do. They then sued me for over $50,000 for the lost profits on her next two litters. We ultimately settled, but it was incredibly stressful for my family. And I spent more money, double actually, then I would if I had just bought a dog!

***************** disputes this review. **** Hills general policy and procedure is to have a dog placed with an experienced litter raiser as it is difficult to determine how a first time mother dog will react to motherhood. A first time mother dog needs to be carefully monitored by someone with experience for the health and safety of the mother and puppies. There is no proof that when ************ first became a guardian of the dog in question ************ was told that she could raise the first litter in her home. In fact, There is also no proof that ************ was provided with any training as to raising a litter when she signed her guardian agreement. Instead, the contract between ***************** and ************ allowed ************ to be in possession of the dog between breeding cycles. That contract also stated specifically that the dog remained the property of ***************** with ***************** having the right to remove the dog from Ms. ***** home at any time. ************ signed that contract with those terms. ***************** later re-took possession of the dog based on its view that ************ was in breach of the terms of the guardian contract. At that point, ************ had only been in possession of the dog for approximately 1 year and 3 months. Prior to that time, ***************** and ************ had interacted on multiple occasions related ********************, hip testing, eye testing, pictures, first heat cycle and other matters related to the health of the dog for breeding. After ***************** re-took possession, the dog was placed in the possession of another guardian and unfortunately escaped from that guardians possession for slightly more than half a day. The dog was found just over 2 miles away. Although ***************** was under no obligation to do so, ***************** ultimately agreed to allow ************ to serve as the dogs guardian again. When the dog was ready for breeding again, ***************** allowed ************ to serve as the litter raiser and ************ entered into a litter raising agreement with ***************** at that time. After that litter was raised, the dog went into heat again and ************ notified ***************** that her brothers un-neutered golden retriever slipped past her and bred with **** Hills dog. *********** had been notified via email on December 3rd at 10:20am that the dog was due or overdue to go back into heat and needed to be checked daily. This was three and half weeks prior to the incident. **** ultimately had the dog spayed, thereby ending the dogs ability to breed. Believing that ************ had breached her contract again by allowing the dog to be subject to potential impregnation, ***************** sought to resolve the matter with ************ out of court. ************ refused **** Hills offers and thereby forced ***************** to file suit to protect its interests. Immediately after ***************** filed suit, ************ served ***************** with an offer of judgment, which is a formal legal document offering for ***************** to take a judgment against ************ in the case. In order to move past this matter, ***************** accepted Ms. ***** offer of judgment and a judgment was entered by the Court in that case. ************ has since paid that judgment and her attorney was provided with a satisfaction of judgment. While ************ has claimed that the dog in question was hers, it is **** Hills position that the dog did not become hers until after ***************** accepted her offer to take a judgment against her, the court entered that judgment against ************ and she paid the judgment amount. Further, if breeders did not take very careful steps to maintain the integrity of their dogs and the process by which they breed dogs, there would not be well bred dogs for people to buy and bring into their homes. ***************** has always strived to breed high quality dogs, and that is an expensive process. And the guardian contract ************ signed was clear that the dog was to remain **** Hills dog at all times and would be bred several times. That contract was also clear that the breeding would be for commercial purposes. ************ did not have to sign this contract or agree to serve as a guardian for this dog. She could have refused to do so. She also could have simply purchased a puppy. Instead, she chose to be a guardian, presumably because it was less expensive to serve as a guardian than to purchase a dog. However, it also came with specific obligations which, in **** Hills opinion, she was not prepared to fulfill.

There is absolutely proof of them asking me to raise the litter of puppies. I have several emails from the employee who gave my our dog asking me to raise the litters of puppies and explaining how much I would be paid to do so. I have posted these pictures in other places where you can add attachments. In fact, the ***************** employee was convincing me to raise the litters, as she stated it was, what was best for the dogs and the guardians who do it, love it. I was also trained by this employee to raise the litters of puppies and spent several hours being trained at a different litter raisers home, when I picked up my dog. ***************** continues to boldly lie to protect their reputation. They even claimed to be members of WALA and other Australian Labradoodle associations until recently when they havent been members since 2011. I have spoken with several other guardians now who have been through the same things with them. The owner is incredibly litigious and rather than make a phone call herself to settle any confusion or problems she has with clients or guardians she just uses her lawyer to send threatening letters. In my case, she sued me for the lost profits on the 3rd and 4th litter's, after my brothers 9 month old puppy broke through my fence and got to her. Keep in mind, this was after my dog had already had two litters of puppies (13 total) for **** Hills profit. Her second litter also ending in an emergency c-section. Several veterinarians told me what was best for my dog after having an emergency c-section on her second litter was to be spayed. Instead the sued me because she was unable to have more puppies.Another bold lie in their response, is that they emailed me on December 3rd, claiming to make me aware of her next heat cycle. This is absolutely false and can be proven as well. Ive even now spoken to another breeder and a client, who both had to obtain a lawyer after buying a dog from them! Stay far away from this litigious woman. Her only concern is money and does not care at all about what is best for the dogs or even just treating her guardians with basic respect. No matter how they try and spin this, the truth will prevail and they were 100% in the wrong with the way they treated me and my poor dog.
