This is regarding a Trexler Field Property. Since the closing date 12/1/2020, there has been ongoing communication regarding the extreme temperatures of my MB closet and most recently Bedroom #2. have video journals and pictures showing a difference of 20 degrees on some days between the bedroom and the closet. The HVAC was investigated and is running correctly. The builder provided additional insulation, and a return. Despite these efforts there has been no change in the extreme temperatures. Clearly there is a loss of air happening somewhere. There is about a 2inch gap between the floor and the wall with no insulation. The temperature readings have shown a loss of air around these sights. How could a builder say 'there's nothing more they can do.?

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A HOME WITH KAY BUILDERS!! I cannot stress enough what an awful experience this has been. I could write a book about how completely unresponsive their customer service, warranty company, and everyone else that we have tried reaching out to with our many issues. If I could give them zero stars I would. At our walk-through, which was a week before settlement in December right after the freeze at Christmas they had people installing landscaping and painting our trim and front door. That turned out disastrous. During the walk-through, the construction manager told us not to look for all mistakes because we wouldn’t possibly be able to find them all, and that we would be able to document them as we were living here, and that they would fix them within 45 days and dad are your inspection. At that point a week before settlement, they had not painted our house, there were missing light switches, which meant there was no wiring, our house was completely filthy, we had a cracked tub, cracked tile in our master bath shower, lighting was not centered, Mirrors were not centered, we had nails coming through our siding that they STILL have not fixed. Our entire deck has nails not hammered all the way in. We have plumbing issues with our upstairs toilet. They told us like they told other buyers that they would have all these things fixed within 45 days and we’re going on seven months now and still have all of these issues which have not been addressed. We email and email and call and call and get no responses whatsoever. We have talked to many other homeowners in our development, and they are all experiencing the same thing. We are planning on reaching out to channel 69 in hopes that this will force Kay to start addressing our issues. We have paid our money and deserve it properly completed house!!!!

Awful process from start to finish.Constant arguing, yes we had to argue with them while building this home. When building your forever home,do NOT use Kay Builders. The sales lady was awful, once you sign the contract she no longer cares.Sales people do not get paid on anything above base price so why would they care when you want to"customize"your home. The day of closing there was a long list of items that needed to be fixed and or completed. Most of the items took forever to get done and there is a large list that is still not completed.I closed on this house almost 2 years ago and our punch list items are not completed.I have emailed everyone including customer service and the warranty department multiple times in the last 4 months and no response.I have a cracked window I was told was ordered over a year ago, but no response. They tried to fight me on this one until I submitted a screenshot of the text exchanges from the foreman saying they will fix it.Fortunately, we were one of the lucky ones in the neighborhood with minor fixes. Some neighbors had larger issues as Kay seems to not have their windows and doors weather strips installed so when it rains, water comes right into your house. They use Tom Adams for tile and flooring.Awful company to use. They have tried to make the grout nicer by replacing it 3 times and it still looks awful. The trim around our microwave is a different color than the cabinets, our cabinet trim is missing, floor is warped from water coming in the back door, there was a hole in our subfloor that they said would be fixed but you can feel the floor sink when you step on it, clearly it was not fixed, and multiple of other items are still outstanding. We have been in this house for almost 2 years and these items are still not completed. So if you are willing to fight for everything, use a builder who doesn't care and has a high turnover of employees who also bash the company they work for,and not have items completed then yes use Kay builders

This company is horriable, they take advantage of their customers. They do terriable construction, don't follow up answering phone calls or emails. All this company wants is your money, they ignore the customer on many areas of the business deal. I had water damage in my home because their constuction techniques are terrible. They came back it fix it, but the water damage already happened and we had to live with a house with damaged walls for months before they came in to repair the damage. I ask about mold in the walls and floor, they did cut a hole in the dinning room and checked and told me everything was ok with the intrerior of the walls, insulation was fine and no mold should grow because there is enough air flow, plus the floors should be fine, but they never removed any flooring to check and confirm. Now, after 3 plus years my dinning room floors start buckiling and lifting up. I had a contractor come in and he looked at my floor removed a sectiona and decovered mold. So now, i have Service Pro coming in to confirm if it is mold, which they told me it is, next step for them is to cut holes in my walls and see what damage is if any and then proceed from there, all of this is at my expense. I called my home owners insurance the they don't cover it because it was a due to poor construction.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY HOMES WITH KAY AT ALL, WORST COMPANY WHEN COMES TO SERVICES AFTER CLOSING. We built our house from KAY in 2021 ( not to forget it was ready after 4 months of promised date) when closing in December we did a pre-walk through the house and there was a list of multiple items that were not completed. Kay stated to close the house with having those items as pending at the moment and promised that they will be completed asap and by believing this builder we closed our house on Dec 2021. Now it's July 28th and not a single item was completed and even after reaching out to their so-called 6 decades of excellent customer service, we were just ignored every time. Reached out to Dave Foraker VP of Operations but received the same treatment from him as well. One of our Hall Bath has no faucets and still has temporary countertops which they put to close the house stating the one we picked is not in stock at the time, That countertop we received in Feb 2022 and It's been sitting in the garage since then and no one came to place it even after reaching out to Kay numerous time) None of the bathroom countertops are secured no glue or silicon is applied to counter tops ( wish i could add pics here) . After reaching out to higher management multiple times on June 9th Kay's representative came to visit our home to view pending items in person and had a bigger list of items to be completed than I even submitted and promised that he will have someone to start fixing these asap. Its been almost 2 months and I have not heard anything back from them and been asking for updates from past week and no reply to my e-mails. Such a poor customer service they provide ( I would just say no customer service and there is no communication after closing the house from Kay and you just have to keep reaching out more than 100 times just with a hope to get an answer back). VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND REGRET SPENDING MY MONEY WITH THIS BUILDER.
