AAA has been sending too much junk mail to my house. When attempting to contact the company through their website, you need to be a member to get your message through. When attempting to contact them by phone, the rep ensured me that there was nothing he could do unless I was a member. I do not want to be require to purchase a membership with a company to prevent their junk mail from being delivered to my address. Through research, I found an opt out from but the weblink is broken and redirects to member sign up because it cannot find a membership cookie. I do not want money, litigation or anything from triple AAA. I simply want them to stop sending mail to my spouse and I. Currently, there is no clear path to do this without FIRST being force to buy a membership. I consider this predatory if a company is forcing me to buy a product to stop their correspondence.Business response

I have our Membership Marketing Manager taking care of this. She is putting this non-member information to our direct mail vendor's DNS list. And we are having our Membership department removing his information four our solicitation. We are sorry it had to come to this. We would never want anyone to feel any presure to join AAA.Business response

AAA auto club assignes providers to service ROAD Calls. AAA told us ************ **** **** (***) was assigned our call on 10/26/22. *** never responded to us or showed up. My husband is 79 & I am 63 & Physically Disabled. After being stranded on the side of a busy road, we called AAA again. We were told *** informed AAA that *** called my husband & my husband canceled the road service. Our phone records prove otherwise. Another provider was dispatched. I called AAA supervisor and filed complaint #****** with *****. Wanting information as to why we were stranded, & being unable to get info from AAA, I called ***. **** ******** ******** *******, PA ***** ************* The person who answered the phone (turned out to be the owner *****) was given the ROAD & the PICK-UP POINT at the onset. He was , Rude, Nasty, Unprofessional, & began screaming at me that my husband canceled the service call. During his rant he disclosed information that did not coincide with our call. I had to scream over him to stop him & correct the information. Then he claimed he never got OUR call for service from AAA. (Despite the fact AAA claimed they did). And he said it was my fault because I did not give him the destination at the beginning of the call. I GAVE HIM THE ROAD & THE PICK UP POINT AT THE ONSET. Hung up on him he was too abusive. Was contacted by Karen *** *** **** of AAA concerning the complaint. She refunded our yearly dues as we have been loyal customers for over 43 years. She turned it over to Ken M*** who oversees the contracts for the providers & personally knew Jarid. Despite his promises to look into the matter & get back to me, he never did. I left a message with Karen, she never returned my call. If I had been wrong about the nature of incident or the character of ***, AAA would have defended them. An addition to the complaint was added by AAA Supervisor Beth emp ID...Hotel*** on 11/12/22. A Retribution Complaint against DAB. Never was addressed.Business response

I was once a customer of AAA. I cancelled my membership about 2 years ago or more. AAA will not stop sending mail offers to my house to rejoin. It's sheer harassment. I have called and ask to stop. I filled out the remove from mailing list on line 4 times. I returned the envelope in the offer and ask to stop mailing me. I even paid a service on-line that was supposed to stop junk mail but they are unrelenting. The offer has too much personal information to throw away. There services for removal do not work and they wont stop. Please help! Don't buy into the 2nd notice stamp on the card. Been saying that for 2 years.Business response

We are so sorry this is happening. I have reached out to the Head of membership and they are going to put him in the system as a nonmember and chage the communication preferences. Also, the Director of marketing is sending this off to the direct mail vendor to cove it both ways that this gentlemen will not receive any direct mail from AAA.Customer response

Date of Failure of Service : October 4 Tuesday 3:30 PM-5:30 PM Service Provider : AAA East Central Allentown PA AAA PLUS member # *** *** ********** RE: Following an abrupt failure of my 1991 **** ********* engine in the left turn lane of the 4 lane intersection at the intersection of ********* **** and ************** **** between Bethlehem and Allentown Pa. Cars were regularly backing up behind the stalled vehicle in heavy rain AAA Emergency telephone road service could not be contacted except by digital automated responses. Local Emergency (911) was called and the local Fire company came to push the **** Van onto the side of the adjoining road AAA was called again; FINALLY live AAA persons in Californiia Ohio, and Pittsburgh PA answered :They ould not locate the vehicle oreven spell the names of the roads . First attempt to obtain road service failed. Agents NEVER registered my address. 3rd Call resulted in a Supervisor ( in Calif) FINALLY taking my info and sending a truck. THEN Allentown Driver had a 919 591 1131 number from "Elite Auto Service " He claimed he could not find the address or intersection on his GPS so he wanted another driver to take the call .ANOTHER LOCAL towing service was FINALLY called and came ( 30 minutes) from one mile away : CORE COMPLAINT WHY DO AAA + MEMBERS IN SE PA HAVE TO SPEAK TO CALIFORNIA , PITTSBURGH & OHIO BEFORE RECEIVING TOWING SERVICE AFTER 2 HRS AND THEN DRIVER CLAIMS THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE FOUND ?? WHY IS THE LOCAL AAA TOW DRIVER USING A NORTH CAROLINA CONTACT NUMBER with (area code ***)??? WHY HAS THE LOCAL DISPATCH ALLENTOWN OFFICE BEEN CLOSED ?? AAA Bethlehem PA has promised a full refund of the towing fee ( in 10 --14 days ) The advertised claim of LOCAL reliable service is FALSE and Fraudulent A Refund is expected for BOTH the outside towing service fee and my full annual membership fee for AAA PLUS for year 2022-2023 .ALL necessary documentation has been filed with AAA Bethlehem PA OFFICEBusiness response

Booked a trip to ****** in December 2020 for November 2021. Was told that if we booked before the end of the year we would receive $500 via check around the time of our vacation. This was documented in all of our trip paperwork and verbally multiple times by our AAA rep, Renee K****** I have had to contact multiple times asking when we would receive the check and was told it's coming soon repeatedly. Recently the rep changed the story to it will only be $300, which was received 2/14/22. I am seeking the balance of what was promised, $200.Business response

Told twice the check is in the mail, have not received at this time. This happened with the original check which was delayed for weeks beyond promised date. I was at work with a friend/co-worker and I dropped his key it somehow de programmed and wouldn’t start the car…. So I called AAA aaa roadside assistance sucks why the **** are AAA IN BUSINESS IS BEYOUND ME. I am member *** *** ********** I had a 2008 ****** ****** towed From Walmart DC on ******** ** in Bethlehem to ******** **** it was left on the Street and car will not start to move it in the lot. I am so flipping pissed that that car can’t be moved even though their driver placed it there. AAA is the absolute worst company of thieves. I really have no clue why and how they still can be in business. BBB should have a ton of complaints I know I can’t be the only one. I want the car done all it needs is the key reprogrammed for Christ sake. It shouldn’t be this hard ***** I had needed tows I always paid out of pocket even doubles dues whole other issue there. Will someone please help. I can’t afford another tow if the car sits outside of the lot why can’t AAA just move it? What 30 feet into service lot????Business response

I did reach out to *** ****** and was only able to get his voice mail. I left my name and number with good times to reach me. I asked if he could return my call so we could go over the facts of what happen and see if they was anything AAA could do for him.
