    I purchased a fire arms online and had it shipped to their business for pick up. This business charges a $60 fee to process firearm paperwork. When I arrive to pick up my firearm I decided that it was the wrong choice for me and it was returned I never filled out any paperwork in the business refused to return my $60 fee. Also I made an appointment for a training session for the amount of $100, soon after I decided to cancel my appointment and the business also refuses to return The fee that I paid for training. And total this business refuses to return my $160. I’ve sent various emails and left messages with no response. The last time I reached out to this business was in August 2022.

    We received the complaint made to the BBB via mail about *** *******'s complaint. 

    Our terms and conditions are very plain and easily readable on our website. We also made them clear to her when she was here for her appointment. *** ******* received excellent customer service when she made her appointment and came in for appointment for her firearms transfer. We do require payment in advance. The payment is for the appointment as we are under zero obligation to fulfill a firearms transfer we are uncomfortable with. *** ******* purchased a firearm from a different online seller and she designated us to receive her firearm, thus agreeing to our terms. That is the nature of all ATF regulated FFL transfers. We do not refund for any appointment that is held which makes us have zero conflict of interest in facilitating transfers we are not comfortable with, such as if someone is a danger to themselves or others, is demonstrating suspicious behavior, or a straw purchase for example. *** ******* purchased a NFA loophole item called a ********* Tac-14 and she communicated to us several myths that she was advised to purchase this firearm because she could not miss with it. We demonstrated how this was an NFA exempt item but was probably going to be the target of upcoming legislation and she would have to keep an eye on that to make sure the firearm didn't become illegal in the future. The included letter from the ATF to ********* that ********* includes in every box, we made her aware of. She was not aware prior of the seriousness of the firearm and its drawbacks. After we did our due diligence she decided this was not a good purchase for her and declined the transfer. We do not refund for providing excellent customer service. If she had an issue with a training date she could have simply called or EVEN TEXTED us about rescheduling as we are exceptionally communicative in our industry and area. It looks like she was able to cancel via our booking service and would have been refunded by Setmore if she cancelled well advance but wouldn't if she cancelled within the cancellation policy window or she could have called and simply spoken to our employees via call or text to be rescheduled. 

    This is our first complaint ever made to BBB which I am shocked a customer would do without contacting us prior via phone, text, or email to reconcile. We pride ourselves on good customer service as is evident in our google maps reviews and setmore reviews. Those who typically leave a 1-star on google maps are criminals or those who demonstrate suspicious behavior who we are legally barred from facilitating their receipt of a firearm in accordance with ATF and NSSF guidelines and law.
