I had to get a filling for my daughter and called to set up an appointment. Two openings were available next day, I took the earliest. When I arrived at the appointment, I was told that the Doctor said I had to pay a $126 emergency fee???! After appointments were open??Also, despite I have went to this dentist for YEARS, I was told by the office staff that I was now out of network and had to pay for the $600 appointment out of pocket. Which I did, only to call my insurance company and find out I was in-network.This Dentist will now not refund me what I paid out of pocket until he receives it from my insurance company, which is why he told me I was out of network to begin with I imagine. This is a terrible way to do business and probably against the law. Don't lie to your patients who have a hurting kid because you don't want to wait for insurance companies to pay you.
