Hired this company to come in and smooth my currently “rough” plaster walls. Spoke to him on the phone. He came out, said he would make them smooth and reskim the surface and he gave me a total with a contract. He took three days. He seemed very professional. At the end he stated the hallway had “nicotine” in the walls and the plastered bubbled some, so he told me to sand it and then refinish it with joint compound. Not a big deal, I could handle that. However a few days later I noticed a hole in the ceiling of my dining room. I went to investigate it and found out the plaster had not stuck to the ceiling and the entire dining room ceiling was now falling down. I looked at the living room ceiling and found many cracks and multiple places where the plaster was falling down from the ceiling. The bedroom also has one crack in it. I sent a text to the company. He called me and stated that he does not Warranty his work (not once did he tell me this before the work was done). I have sent multiple texts to him, asking him if he would come out and fix anything or even assess the situation in person and help me figure out how to make this right. He has stopped replying to any and all of my messages. I have since had the ceiling in the dining room come down completely and had to completely redo it myself. I was told 3500 for the plaster smoothing on the ceilings around the house. Then another 500 for the arch ways in the house to be finished. The arches looks beautiful. No complaints there. He did great work in those. However the fact that I now have to tear down and redo the plaster on all 3 rooms that I asked him to do is excessive. I would like a partial refund of the work I paid him to do, now that I have to redo over half of it or hire someone else to come and fix his shoddy work. I am not asking for a full refund as some of the work did is not needing to be redone. 3000 Refund would be fair as the plastering on the ceilings was not correct. The hallway walls are Okay.
