Hello,I placed a $750.00 deposit with this company to come out back in July of 2021. They said they were very busy and I had to wait 3 months for them to come. I did reach out to them asking if they could please come out before the 10/12/2021 date because the tree was growing and I was worried about my roof of the house.Liberty came out to cut down some tree branches off the top of my house where the roof is. When the three man were done I could not tell if anything was done. This took place on 10/12/2021. I told the manager **** on 10/13/2021, that I was not happy with the job and ask them to come back out to complete the job. I have before and after pictures. He said they did what they were suppose to do and to stop texting him and I could call him to talk about issue. I emailed the office and ask to talk to the owner of the company, they said ********************* was the owner of the company. I ask them to come back out to complete the job and they didn't. Last week I received a letter in the mail that said collections and they are requesting the remaining $1,500.00 for a job that was not completed. I have emails from the company because **** told me to stop texting him. He was also saying I should get the tree cut down because it has a lot of "stress cracks". I do not want to cut the tree down because it would cost me about $8,000.00. One company told me it would be around $12,000.00 to cut a tree that size down. I just moved into this house I don't have money to cut the tree down. I was just worried about the roof of my house. The tree is about ***** feet and I did ask the company when I requested them to come back out to complete the job, did they have a Cherry picker or a Boom. They never responded to those emails. I have all emails and text messages. I end up calling another company the next week after Liberty would not come back out to complete the job. The other company did a great job cutting the tree the way I asked, off roof. Thank you ************ *****

I met with **** ***** in July 2021 to discuss the Oak tree on her property located at **** ** ****, Phila., PA *****. During this meeting we discussed the work she wanted to be performed and the 3-month lead time (October). After looking over the Oak tree, I determined it would take two days to remove the deadwood from the Oak tree over **** ******, home. The cost would be $2250 per day. At which time, she said she only had a budget for one day's worth of work.
On July 13, 2021 at 9:19 Liberty Tree & Landscape Mngt office ema led a proposal to **** ***** for One day maintenance pruning with a priority list based on our initial meeting and budget.
On August 17, 2021 **** ***** signed and emailed the proposal back to our office as well as calling the office to make the 1/3 deposit of $750.00.
On October 12, 2021 a three-man crew commenced work at her house and performed and completed the work as stated on the proposal. During the pruning the Foreman noticed multiple stress cracks in the top of the tree. At that point it was determined that the tree needed to be removed as soon as possible. **** ***** was notified of situation and the recommendation to remove the tree.
As stated in the complaint, **** ***** did call me. During the time frame 10.13.21 through 10.18.21 there had been several email threads between the office and **** *****. In addition, she called and texted me during and after business hours at all hours of the day and night. I did speak to her and informed her that the crew completed the work that was outlined in the proposal within the time frame discussed and the agreement was very clear.
On October 18, 2021 we sent a Certified letter to the customer which included a copy of her signed agreement as well as the final invoice of $1500.00 ($2250 one day work less $750 deposit). In addition, I told her that I would assist her, at no charge, in the selection of another tree company to have the tree removed. The job was completed according the signed proposal.
I'm sorry that **** ***** is unhappy with the work performed by our company. We take pride in our work and the relationships we have with our clients. As a good faith gesture, I did offer my assistance in the selection of another Tree company to have the oak tree removed. It's my hope that **** ***** and I can come to a mutually acceptable solution.
      Regards,
      Michael D

This letter is in response to claimant's recent allegations/responses.
First, I would like to address the defamatory statement the claimant wrote insinuating that I am a racist.
This is a personal attack on me and has no basis in this complaint. I categorically deny these allegations. The statement is egregious and irresponsible of the claimant. Her claim can't be substantiated.
Second, as for the broken vase. This is the first time that I'm hearing of supposed incident. Here are some facts to be considered. First, when the crew finished, **** nor her daughter approached or notified the crew of the broken vase. Secondly, as previously stated by the claimant: she had called the office several times, left numerous messages for Mike on his cell phone at which time did she mention the alleged broken vase. Thirdly, when she filed the complaint with the BBB, she failed to mention the broken vase in that complaint. Lastly, it should be noted that she also filed a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection and she never mentioned the broken vase. If needed, I can supply email threads, correspondence, and phone messages to support the above statement
As a good faith gesture, I am willing to forgive the remaining balance of $1500.00. However, we will retain the $750.00 deposit for the work that was completed by our company. I feel as thought his is an equitable resolution. Lastly, I would like the claimant to retract her comment about Racism as it is simply untrue.
      Regards,
      Michael D
