So I started a kids savings 'EBBear savings club account" years back for my 4 year old at Erie bank. Right . So I go in w her today to put her bday money in the savings. They say the account I closed-.. how is this possible...? They look- they say they had a wrong address so I got charged $7 per month for years until the $170 something in the account was gone. Like this seems so wrong to me. I asked to speak to manager and told her how this does not make sense . You keep charging a kids account which to me - it has no card to make deposits or withdrawals. It's all paper and you get kiddy prizes for saving money. So we had put money in for a year and than had like 4 years of nothing. Thing is to me a kids account is like putting money in a box and saving . This entire situation seems wrong to me. Feels and seems like they stole the money. I was never told I would be charged for statements. I did an address change with post office but did not update bank. I didn't get phone calls. How do you keep sending statements charging the account $7/month until the account no longer exists ???. I filed a complaint and talked to manager and took it to next level. Will see.
