on 9/25/20 I paid bill of 5250.00 for materials and 1500.00 for labor on stone to be placed in front of home and around garage. Not enough stone was originally ordered to complete the job so more had to be ordered. When stone was delivered it did not match the stone already placed on garage wall. A new batch of stone was ordered and still did not match. Contractor relayed to me he wanted to leave stone in driveway in hopes it would "cure" into same color. It did not, contractor's employees placed stone anyway knowing it did not match. Contractor contacted the stone distributor and they reached an agreement with contractor to again supply more stone and pay the contractor 500 dollars to redo the job correctly. Contractor approached me with this ofer which I agreed to. As it was fall it was decided to do the job in Spring of 2021. Contractor had been my next door neighbor so I was comfotable with this arrangement. Contractor did not contact me in spring, i texted him 6/28/21 asking for time frame on job being finished. He replied he was trying to get a job to where "I can leave it." I asked if that would be July, August or September, his reply was ASAP. I again texted him on 9/9/21 asking for timeframe for the job. His reply was he had no workers and was trying to find the time. I left several phone messages in coming months but received no replies. I texted 12/10/21 and received no reply. I texted 3/15/22 and again asked. Contractor replied I will be next project as he is trying to find help. 6/3/22 I again texted asking contractor to deliver materials and money he was paid by stone distributor and I would hire someone else. No reply, i texted 7/5/2 stating my wife and I would come to his home as he has no business address and won't return calls.\He said no reason to com, he would do stone.10/5/22, 10/11/22 texted. Contractor offered to deliver stone and give me the 500dollars. Contractor will not call or text concerning monies owed.
