      HORRIBLE Insurance Company. Very disrespectful and hang phone up on you when try to get help due to ONE of there own insurance carriers did a ********** and my vehicle need to be repaired due to no fault of myself. I have file a claim via my insurance carrier and let them fight for repair funds. I am not a policy hold I am a VICTIM of a non moving vehicle was sitting whenTow Truck ht me, had to go the higher *** to find these perps, now that I have I am getting nowhere but disrespectful ********* I am getting my vehicle fixed one way or another. If I have to go to ********** PA and file complaint with head quarters I will pull all into Court and will be suing 10 times the cost of my auto damage , pain / suffering, and inconvenience all had caused me !Sincerely, Thank GOD Not My Insurance Carrier (BEWARE_horrible Company To Do Business With)

      My issue is with a recent claim. Three complaints: 1. Told I could 'easily' provide necessary info using a link sent via email. I do 100% of online stuff using my laptop not my iPhone. Was not told up front a cell phone HAD to be used. First problem here was an error message 'browser not supported, must use Safari'. Spent 1 hour trying to use Safari as Safari is contracted to use ****** as it's search engine and all attempts to use Safari defaulted to ****** time and time again. **** hassle. 2. After finally working my way thru to use Safari, the link they sent provides zero instructions on how to use the link. Not user friendly at all. Spent 1 hour working my way thru the link after many failures. Bottom line, horrible link. 3. The claims *** who called me and explained the 'simple' link that I could use to provide the info went missing. I left 3 voice messages to call me and never did. Horrible, horrible customer service.

      We are seasoned drivers and have been through our fair share of auto accidents in the family . My teenage son had an accident in March where the driver was at fault and the driver was insured by Erie. Our adjuster , ******* *** was one of the best we have ever worked with . He was prompt, honest , and he treated us like he cared about the position we were in. Good and fair treatment from insurance companies is very difficult to find these days. We had never been through such a painless and easy process with our auto claim. I had dealt with reputable companies like ***** , ************** , where the other driver was at fault , and it took months to handle my claim. It also took a lot of work on my part which made it very burdensome . Erie handled it without much stress on our end. Because of this positive interaction, we are considering switching to **** .

      I have carried Erie Insurance Group for my Homeowners Insurance for over 10 years. During that 10 year span, I have always paid my premiums' and have never had any home issues so I never filed a claim. However, at the end of October in 2024, we had a terrible rain storm, and we had water damage that was done to the interior of our home. The damage was around 11K, so we needed to file a claim with Erie Insurance. This was my first and only claim made in the 10 years of having them as my insurance carrier. In my mind-ISN"T THAT WHY WE HAVE INSURANCE? Anyways, after I filed my claim, we had several contractors come out to give us bids on the cost of the damage, and had to have the insurance adjuster come out and settle the amount of the claim. This brought us into late November early December. I live in ****, so the we were hitting winter time. I explained to them that I was unable to roofer out to fix our roof adequately in the winter, and that as soon as the weather broke in the Spring that we would proceed with getting everything fixed. I even reached out to the Erie Insurance Claim's Adjuster on January 17th and let him know that we were still waiting on the weather to break, but as soon as the weather was warm enough everything would be fixed. He told me that I had a year to get everything completed due to the weather. Then *********************************************************************** and no longer want to carry me because I did not complete the work done within a 6 month window. When I called to explain the situation-as I thought it was all documented in their internal system, they just explained that it was to late. I moved forward and got a better rate, and better coverage with a different carrier. However, this is appropriate to treat a customer of over 10 years with one claim during that entire timeframe. This could have been handled so much better.

      If you are an auto body shop/contractor wanting to work with Erie insurance, save yourself and don't. Their adjusters do not pay their bills and when they do pay, its 8 months later. It's insane how insurance companies can wait 8 months to pay, but we have to pay our insurance bills every month or lose coverage. I'm sure nothing will come from this review just like the 70 other reviews on this page that have not been resolved.

      Absolutely the most horrific experience I've ever had with a company.. the adjuster never looked at some of the damage .. but says it's only x amount of money to fix it. She did NOT do her job..therefore my house is not finished....I've caught them lying...now they have different paperwork than what they sent me in the mail. All contradicting. Imagine that. THEN THEY SEND ME A NOTICE OF CANCELATION OF MY INSURA CE. . BUT WHY??? WORSE COMPANY EVER. Horrible experience

      This company business practice is very questionable. The Nashville office, the Lebanon office both. After years of being with this company. Never had an auto claim in 25 years, never had a claim for my house or houses in 25 years. Just because I have a few houses that have wind roof damage. Which can't be helped when it happens. A companying that supposed to have multiple policies with multiple companies to work with, decided to dump me and my properties. I know there's two sides of the story , but my story is true. It's uncalled for and very COWARDLY. They didn't have the nerve to contact, explain it to me or work with me. They just decided to send notice of non-renewal

      Their Insured hit my daughters car then ran. There is a record at ***. Call that states these facts as well as their Insured hit my daughters car then ran. There is a recorded 911 call that states these facts as well as a an official police report stating these facts. **** just took the word of their customer. That was my daughters fault and denied the claim! Made a complaint to the Maryland Insurance Commissioner as we are now stuck with an uninsured motorists claim, ridiculous! Adjuster refuses to communicate.

      I was sent a letter indicating that Erie Insurance had attempted to contact me about a refund. Because I am an older person, I am very cautious about anyone asking for my SS #. I did some research on the company asking for my personal information. Im very glad I did. I would never send my information to anyone that I dont personally know. The company has a horrible reputation.Because, I dont want to leave money on the table nor give anything to a third party, I called Erie Insurance and spoke with them directly. I was told by Erie Insurance that if my refund was sent to a third party they could not help me. So, my complaint is twofold. Erie Insurance has never attempted to contact me for anything. The third party is ***** ******** and Associates and seems proud to be a member of the BBB as this is stamped on the paperwork I received! It seems to me that any company that has as many complaints filed against it and using the BBB A+ reputation should be investigated !!!If they have my money, I would like a better option to receive it! Thank you

      I give this company a zero rating, even though I had to mark a 1 star to get this review submitted. We have had hail damage to our roof. Had a local contractor come out 2x and sent info to Erie who declined. Our contractor is rated A+ by the better business bureau and is not a storm chasing company they are local and well respected in our community. ***** ***** from Erie came and looked at our roof and denied any damage and was rude and stated to me that all construction companies say that a homeowner will have damage. I have now hired an engineer to fight this claim as we have had several neighbors who have all had their roofs replaced due to the hail damage. I find it very hard to believe that the storm missed us when the house next door had their roof done. This was a community wide problem. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will continue to fight them to do what is right. We have paid them for coverage and now they are abandoning us. Just not right. Shame on them.
