      Ally Bank arbitrarily closed my wife and my 7 year old personal checking/spending account, claiming there were business transactions taking place on the account... when there were not. When asked what triggered Ally or their AI to close our account customer service said the department that closes the account cannot be reached or contacted for specific information. My wife and I have last owned a business in 2016, and it is strange that a personal account that we have consistently receive payments in and paid household expenses from (utilities, mortgage, etc...) would after so many years trigger a closure without specific explanation. We are very unhappy with the difficulties and extra work this closure created and cannot recommend a company or account that can be closed so frivolously.

      Some parts of the site down or buggy at any time. In the past half the time the app wouldn't even open. If you go on reddit many stories about them not sending car titles. In general a scummy crappy bank with a buggy almost useless app. That auto and ally app merger was a shitshow.

      I want an email and they say they dont have one. I made a payment and they are asking for a second payment for the month I want to send proof and they wont stop harassing me with phone calls I just want to send an email and Ive spoken to so many people who hardly understand English and say no email. This is crazy, worst company ever! Will never use them again and hope nobody else does!

      I have had so much trouble with this bank recently trying to get my phone number updated to a new one I have as I no longer have the old number associated with my account. They never return messages left to them and recently someone has been trying to access my account with old phone number I had and will do absolutely nothing to help me resolve this issue nor update my phone number so I can prevent fraud on my account. There was never issues with my number being changed in the past and I am fed up with their incompetence in try to get my issues resolved!

      The worst bank in the history of all known to man, and the worst part...they know and don't care! They snuck in an over $7000 "loan securement" fee into a car payment when I was a college student paying for my first car. Real pieces of work. I had well above 700 credit score and not a single ***** They are responsible for my biggest financial blunder and ruined my entire savings as a young adult and changed my financial habits for the worse. F*** Ally Bank. Evil pieces of s*** stains, sad excuse for a company. I confronted them about the fee and they essentially said what amounts to "sue me".

      I recently paid off my balance of $1294 with Ally bank credit card, accidently on Nov. 4th. I requested a reversal as this accidental transaction was financially devistated me at the time. I immediately called and the representative said they could not reverse the transaction. **************** requested a refund via a check in the mail on Nov. 14th. As of the 25th, I have not recieved the check. However, Ally Bank has put the entire balance back on my statement, charged me a $40 fee and new payment due including interest. Today is Nov 25th, and I therefore request a stop payment on the check they supposedly sent me, and they refused. So, I am out $1294 for the payoff that I made on Nov 4th, and they put this charge back on my statement before I have a check from them. Today, **************** Supervisor, ******** (#VD1) and ***** (LI2) in ******** were argumentative in their tone, did not hear my concern, and refused to let me speak with a supervisor above their position to help cancel the check. I even told them I wanted to cancel my account. The two above mentioned supervisors continued to reitterate that the cancellation request has been denied. I am out $1294 and I still do not have a payment back from this company. ********* ******

      I am committed to sharing my experience across every platform available. I transferred a large sum of money on November 8th in preparation to request a cashiers check to submit on November 25th. It was incredibly time-sensitive with high stakes, and customer service representatives assured me that the process was straightforward and could be completed within the time parameters. I paid a fee for expediting shipping, and over the next weeks (WEEKS!) I called and chatted with representatives multiple times per day to try to get shipping/tracking information for the cashiers check. Each person I spoke with provided different information and estimates for arrival, but never a tracking number. I received the check on November 22nd. I never received any type of written confirmation or email from Ally of the check being processed or shipped. Representatives apologized repeatedly for the delay, but could never explain what caused it. The stress from this interaction with a very real deadline and implications was not worth any amount of interest accrual or online convenience that a bank could offer.

      They disabled my bank accounts on their end so I can't pay ANY of my vehicles so I can get charged the conv fee with a third party for my vehicle. Auto pay took out multiple payments so I had stop auto pay. How can they get away with disabling my opportunity to pay them? **************** is a joke rude with ZERO clue. Worse company ever. I spend hours EVER month trying to pay them. Today I was so mad I was hysterical cause representative was mocking me and refused put supervisor on the phone. I could go on and on. I have multiple screenshots and journal of what they do. I really am now trying to refinance my car to get away from Ally.

      NEVER EVER do business with Ally Bank. My son is on a fire department water rescue team and was deployed to the ** mountains due to the historic flooding. As such, he was a bit late on a car payment and could not contact Ally to make a payment over the phone due to no cell tower coverage. In turn, his credit score was hit hard. I chatted with Ally, and they refused to take this into consideration. Stay away from ****. You would have thought they would have helped out. So, Ally, next time you need to be rescued from a car wreck, house fire, or require EMS support, feel ashamed!
