1 starWe bought both a dishwasher and refrigerator from Gerhards Malvern. The salesperson grossly misrepresented the difference between the lower Bosch model and next one up. It is obvious that neither she nor the manager had ever seen this model. She said the only difference was a plastic bottom. We wanted a single piece stainless interior (there are 2 seams that the tech only said was going to leak in a matter of time). There is no pan on the bottom (we are replacing this due to a leak so that was kind of important for us to know). Racks are flimsy, the unit smells and doesn't even get the dishes clean. I had a Bosch dishwasher previously and this is nothing like what I had. We asked to exchange and all they can say is sorry, you'll have to pay for a new one. Needless to say we cancelled our refrigerator order we didn't yet receive. They need to educate themselves about their products. She said they had no complaints which I'm sure is a big lie. I can't believe they sell this model. (100 series). we will even pay more for a higher model, but all they can say is that there is nothing wrong. We've already had installers out twice as it was installed crooked. Spray arm broke multiple times. Their own Tech said this is going to leak. I guess it's 10 years of services calls. SHAME ON YOU for not providing customer guidance. if we had known what we were getting we wouldn't have bought this. Don't shop at Gerhards. order ********Gerhard's

We are sorry you feel that you had a bad experience. Our sales team would not have information regarding any complaints regarding this particular unit as only a service company or Bosch themselves would be able to answer that question. There is plenty of consumer literature and access to information online as well. With regard to service repair, you had received, Gerhard's Appliance is a retail sales location only, we are not a servicer. Factory authorized servicer on this case was FAST Appliance repair. It is our understanding however that as of 7/24/24 your issues have been resolved.Lois P

This is very typical of every person I've spoken to at the company. No one wants to take responsibility and no one calls back. I finally spoked to the manager and she doubled down in misinformation. You are either poorly training your personal or training them to lie. I was told by both the saleswoman and the manager that the only difference between the 100 series and 300 series is the plastic bottom. I later read the product literature - I should NEVER have trusted your uninformed sales people or those that only want to make a sale - and that was not at all true. The rack system IS completely different along with a few other things. Those things are very important to us and I do not appreciate the attitude of your management saying this is our problem. You need to train your people to either say I don't know I'll check or not lie. I don't appreciate being told things that are contrary to what is in the product literature, not giving us the name of a person that could help us and not calling back when they said. I have know had FAST out for a 3rd time. And additional parts are on back order. Our issues are NOT resolved. At least I was able to cancel the order for the refrigerator.Review fromSusan M

5 starsGerhard's Malvern is a 5 Star Plus. We had Frank K***** as our Salesman. He is completely knowledgeable in all things kitchen appliances. He knew which would best fit our needs, knew prices, provided a convenient delivery date. He was just amazing. Additionally fantastic was Christina Di L****. She guided us in filling out all of the Rebate Forms. They both made purchasing the 4 appliances for our kitchen, a snap. They will have our business for all of our appliance needs in the future.Gerhard's

1 starI purchased a GE washer and dryer. From day 1 the dryer never got hot. It would take 2 hours to dry a load of clothes. It was serviced 8 times. I asked for my money back but GE said they can only repair or replace the machine. Only Gerhard can refund money. All along I was talking to a Kelly O******. He was not interested in refunding my money. All he wanted me to do was keep servicing the machine. I’m disgusted with Gerhard. My only option is to exchange the dryer through GE. I’m just afraid that giving me the same machine I’ll have the same problem but I have no choice. I’ll never buy from Gerhard again. They totally lack in customer service.Gerhard's

Gerhard's appliance is a retail store. We do not provide service directly. Unfortunately, Gerhard's Appliance can not facilitate a service return without authorization directly from the manufacturer. It is up to GE to provide such an authorization which has been explained. We would be happy to facilitate the exchange when GE provides the authorization needed to do so. According to our records the Customer Service Manager has been assisting you with this service issue and is still trying to work with you and GE to get your issue resolved. Gerhard's also scheduled the customer for 2/12/24 to have an installer come out to your home to check your venting hook up however, the customer canceled this call to the home. I have sent your review to the customer service manager to follow up with you.

Yes you did want to come out on February 12 to check to see if the dryer was hooked up correctly. I then informed you that the GE technician was here 6 times after your technician was here twice and the GE technician disconnected the dryer to make sure it was installed properly and that the vent was not clogged. Once that was completed (while he was on the phone with main office GE) it was determined that the machine is faulty. It does not heat up properly. This was documented and was recommended that this machine be returned. When I originally informed Gerhards about my dryer not functioning properly they were the ones that told me I need to have a GE technician to look at it and determine what is needed. GE replaced both thermostats twice and 2 other parts. GE now agrees the machine is faulty. All Gerhard wants to do is repeat everything that was done. Kelly said once GE determines the machine doesn’t work he would work with me to get a different dryer. Obviously that was not a true statement.Review fromMary A

1 star3. Still waiting for my microwave to be fixed!! Almost 2 months now, Gerhards appliance repair company “Fast Appliance” has come out several times, said they were waiting for a back ordered part, part came in a week and half ago and it was the wrong part that was ordered. I have received no calls letting me know when these new parts will be in. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PURCHASING FROM GERHARDS OR BUYING A KITCHENAID PRODUCT. The microwave was one month old when it stopped working. This is unacceptable. The customer service from Gerhards and KitchenAid is unprofessional and they could care less once the sale is complete.
2. We received our appliances mid November and about mid December our KitchenAid Microwave stopped working, I called Gerhards and they sent their appliance repair company out who was here for over an hour and then told me the microwave had to come off the wall, I told him we would take it down, he said he did not have time so we had to wait another week, at this visit we were told it needs a part that is back ordered and no idea when this part would come in. I called Gerhards and requested a new microwave, they said a request was sent to KitchenAid, I have had to call them every week since the beginning and there was no follow up attempt made with me. I stopped in the Doylestown store last night and spoke with Jason, he basically told us there is nothing they can do as there is no update and they have no idea when this part would come in, as he knew how upset we were regarding our experience with Gerhards to date, on our way out the door he said Happy New Year, completely unprofessional and rude. I called KitchenAid this morning, they were very professional and gave me the dates and process. WE WILL NOT RECOMMEND OR PURCHASE ANY MORE APPLIANCES AT GERHARDS IN DOYLESTOWN.

Gerhard's Appliance is a retail store operation. We supply appliances to the customer that are ordered by the customer and are sent in by manufacture. We do not provide service directly; we have no access to service records, parts or otherwise ordered from Service Companies. We can reach out to service companies or manufacturers on behalf of a customer in good faith but have no pull when it comes to repairs or replacement. Authorizations for service-related issues must be authorized by the manufacture. Once this authorization is obtained either by the customer or a factory authorized service company Gerhard's can facilitate an exchange or return. 1 starInsufferable! Go elsewhere! Their website contains products that they do not actually have in stock. They will take your money and then call you hours later (if same day) to tell you that they don't have it. And then gaslight you about what you are seeing on their website. 1 starAfter purchasing a washer and dryer through Gerhard’s, I would never return as a customer. They were quick to sell me the appliances but upon delivery both were damaged. In addition, I paid at purchase for door reversals that weren’t done. It took about a month after multiple calls and emails for them to reverse the doors because they never scheduled it and then they did not give me the damage allowance they claimed they would. They are absolutely awful after you sign anything and receive your machines. It took the threat of us stopping payment for them to even have a service person out. They wouldn’t return numerous communications and told me that they were ‘really busy’ and ‘weren’t supposed to get managers’ for customers. Absolutely inexcusable and unprofessional.Gerhard's

1 starIf I could give no stars I would. I purchased a Lg slide in dual fuel range. I normally purchase my appliances from Costco because they include everything including a 2 year warranty. Problem with Costco is their delivery team. Gerhard’s appliances in Malvern PA matched almost everything that Costco offered and LG was offering a rebate for a two year warranty. The install team came and the main installer added a metal vent to the back. I told him I don’t think that’s right since the oven actually sat about 5” past the countertop. This was very dangerous because the front left burner was right next to the sink. I called the Sales rep and he said he would have the install team out to rectify the problem. Reading the owners manual after they left it clearly said that metal vent was to only be used if your countertop did not have a bridge in the back covering where the gas and electric was. I do have one & mine is granite. After a week with no phone call back, I left a message for the sales rep. After 2 days with no return call I called the stores main number and asked for the sales rep. He picked up and said he was sorry he never called back he was busy with their Labor Day sale! Really! He asked me to send pictures which I did but told him that won’t show the problem but I also sent him another picture of how far the range sat out from the countertop next to the sink. I told her that I would do it myself and hung up. I am in my 60s so I really did not want to be moving a range. I did it and it took me about 3 minutes. I was totally right and the range sits where it should be. You would think that the store would have called me back, but this is not how they do business. They are all about sales and that is it. I am warning people not to purchase from this business. They do not care! If they did someone would have called back to rectify the problem. Shame on Gerhard’s Appliances.
