    Hired Suburban Solutions to move my mother-in-law out and then move us in the next day. While moving my mother-in-law out, movers stole over $2,000 worth of property from the basement in an area they were not instructed to go to. There was no one else in the house that could have possibly taken the items, and they left the area a total mess which is how we noticed things were missing. Because this occurred, we cancelled our move with Suburban Solutions to move us in and scrambled to figure out a back up mover the day we were moving out. We called the owner, Bobby,  who basically told us it wasn't his problem and to call the police. We filed a police report and a home owners insurance claim. The owner is refusing to refund our $500 deposit on top of all of this. They performed no service for us because we did not trust to allow them back in our home and I want the $500 deposit refunded. It is the least they can do for the aggravation we were caused.

    Thank you for this.

    We are awaiting a response from the police department.  We will fully comply with the authorities for the allegation of theft.  However there is no proof that our employee or employees stole anything nor do we have a history of customer theft.  We can not just assume that they are telling the truth.  In the customers complaint, she mentioned that no one was down there but our crew has stated that there was another woman who was in the back of the room.  

    Our cancellation policy states that moves cancelled within 14 days are subject to a forfeit of deposit.  The customer cancelled on the same day of the move.  They also did not pay for services rendered on the day there was an alleged incident.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I still want my $500 refunded for the move that never occurred regardless. It has been 6 weeks. Nothing has been found and you guys (and myself) were the only ones in the basement.
