I regret buying a home with Maronda! So many issues with the house since we close in May!Review from Tony H

I have a lease back agreement with Maronda Homes and it turns out they care ZERO about their partnerships with the consumer. I received a notice of late assessment at the my address from the *** on February 22, 2022 and it was only $225.45 at that point. Its now $12,107.47 with the 2/years payment plan because of collections and lawyer fees. Instead of forwarding this crucial, time-sensitive mail to me, there was no effort to do so. Alternatively, a simple call or text after being served twice in 2023 at the address and facing potential legal action - would have sufficed. Was that request too burdensome, or would it have required too much effort? The Lease Back agreement seemed to be a unique partnership between a modest customer/consumer and a corporation. However, I acknowledge my misjudgment in viewing it as such; apparently, corporations lack a human side, only a business facet.I comprehend the situation nowyou're a corporation, and I'm just a small investor striving to make a livelihood for myself and family. So, burdening me with everything, knowing you can, seems justified. Why should you concern yourselves with someone like me, a 64-year-old retiree dependent on Social Security? There appears to be no obligation to exhibit compassion toward the consumer, or as stated in the sales contract, the "LANDLORD." Throughout this ordeal, I never sought handouts; I merely expected a modicum of compassion and just maybe an apology for this unfortunate situation. It's disheartening that facing a hardship with my family elicits such an indifferent response. I understand Maronda Homes, as the "TENANT," has no obligation beyond the contractual terms, and this was evident in their actions. If ****************** reflects Maronda Homes' sentiments, I now grasp their likely stance on all their landlords. My error in judgment is apparent.Review from David D

My Wife and I bought a Maronda Home back in June of 2022. I my opinion Maronda builds a nice house. What I really thinks that sets them apart from from other national builders is the customer service and follow up after the sale. Our customer service manager *********************************** did an excellent job on the six month follow up! There were some things that had to be taken care of nothing major, just things you would expect after a new build.********* took care of all of it. In one instance when the sub contractor wasn't returning his calls he came out and fixed it himself! ********* is part of the ************ ***. branch. In conclusion as long as *********************************** was going to be my warranty manger I would have no problem buying another Maronda Home.Review from Tamara and Vladimir G

I want to thank Maronda for our beautiful house. We absolutely love it.We moved in in February 2023. Of course last week before the settlement was a little bit nervous, but GC ************************* reassured us that all would be done timely. He was right. We had a smooth settlement and we moved in. To make us even more confident we were notified that in 6 months after the settlement we would have inspection and whatever defects we would find all would be taken care of. Though it sounded too good to be true we were waiting for an inspector because we discovered several things which had to be repaired. Our biggest concern was the ceiling in the living/dining room which had visible seams and we wanted to have it repaired. We prepared ourselves for a long argument because we realized that it was a cosmetic problem and it would take a lot of efforts and time to have it fixed. We were pleasantly surprised when Maronda Inspector ***************************** agreed that all our concerns were reasonable and assured us that it would be fixed as well as other small imperfections which he found while inspecting the property. He gave us a lot of very useful instructions and made all arrangements regarding necessary repair very quickly and efficiently. He coordinated all work and within several days we had visitors from different companies: Maronda superintendents, contractors from ******, **** ******** ***** ********** These people did exceptional work, they were very friendly and respectful, absolutely everything was done timely and very accurately. Our problem was fixed completely. We are very happy with the house and know that people in Maronda really care.Review from Tara B

I bought back in September. I had a great process. The home was built a little faster than I expected, which was fine with us. We moved in April, and although the lawn isn't completely grown in, I am watering everyday (LOL - my water bill), we are really happy with the home. The interior finishes are so nice. I love the built in cabinets and the trim around the windows and doors, it really make the interior of the home so nice.We are really happy with our Maronda Home, but the thing that made me most happy was the warranty department. Had three issues, they came out when they said they would and fixed everything.Review from Vincent P

We built our home with Maronda and in the year since, we have tried to have them address multiple fairly small issues and almost each one they have told us they dont cover. With few exceptions, they state that since the issue wasnt listed on the pre settlement inspection, its not their problem. And even things that were noted on the report and fixed for closing but have reoccurred, they will not fix. The process during building is black and white to the experience after the sale. Maronda only cares about the home owners until you sign on the line then they will have nothing to do with you. If you plan to build with them, ensure you have EVERYTHING in writing prior to the sale and spend an entire day at the pre settlement inspection to ensure you dont miss anything. Because if you do miss it, it will then be your responsibility. Knowing people that have built recently with other builders, I know this isnt everyones experience building but it will be yours with Maronda.Review from Shane H

We purchased a lot at **** ****** (*** ****) in Parrish, FL, with the expectation of building our Dream Home! Unfortunately, Maronda Homes is building a home two lots over (not small lots...these are oversized, nearly 1/2 acre lots), and they pushed their excess dirt/construction debris to our lot and refuse to remove it after patiently waiting for 5 months. They are the ONLY builder that started construction on our end of the street, and there are CLEAR tracks from when they pushed their excess dirt to our land, but without "eyewitnesses" or "video evidence" of them pushing the dirt, they are not claiming the debris/dirt (even though they initially told the developer that they would "take care of it"). I agree, that it was likely a subcontractor they hired, but as the general contractor, they are responsible. Just weeks before Maronda Homes pushed their dirt/construction debris onto our land, we paid to have the lot leveled and prepared to begin construction. I have called the Corporate Office, the Local Office, and the Developer without success or even the courtesy of a call back to me directly. I am in the Army (not currently stationed in FL), and I, unfortunately, do not have the luxury of monitoring the progress on this or taking care of this debris myself. If they treat a "neighbor" like this, how will they treat you as a customer?

I bought the house with ******* and it been 2 years now. From the day 1 I was complaining about the ** and heating system is not working for the second floor. They started responding in the begging days and sent a person to test it and they also found there is a issue with ** and heating system in the house. This is almost **** sft townhome and installed small hvac which is used for below **** sft. And the entire inlet and outlets in the house are horrible. I called them every alter week and tons of emails. No respond not answering the phone and they are keep saying working on it from last 2 years. I would recommend buyers to think before buying house from *******. ************* is unhappy and not responsive one we bought the house. The are not good at building productive and quality home. We are not happy with their house.Review from Gary M

Their warranty and customer support is less than desired as they give the impression that youre wrong in asking for something to be fixed rather than fixing it.
