In February 2021 I had an ice jam on the room pictured at the back of our home and Milhalko's was called to do the repairs. During the repairs they replaced and worked from the back area to the point of connection to the main roof. The repairs were completed in March 2021. They were to install ice guard up 3ft on the main roof which they did not. Following the original repairs within a month I had water running down the kitchen window which is pictured to the right of the back room in the photo of the back of my house. Mihalkos' repaired. In July 2021 I noticed that the ceiling was beginning to leak in the back room and called Mihalko's to investigate. They stated they found nails that had pushed up and felt that is what was causing the leaks and that time repaired the nails and also repaired the water stains in the ceiling of the back room. The ceiling continued to leak so I had another contractor come to investigate and they found several areas where the shingles had pulled up due to poor installation. I called Mihalko's and they came to attempt repair but did not make repairs to the ceiling indicating they wanted to wait until they were sure it was fixed. Since that time my ceiling leaked continuously and you will see in the photos the large whole now in my ceiling. I paid another contractor to come and fix the roof to stop the leaking. Since April 11, 2022 I have been working with Nationwide and Contractor Connections, (Kim M*****, Supervisor) who is their third party investigative company to get the repairs I had to make to my roof and still remaining of the ceiling paid for by Mihalko's. I agreed on July 1st with Contractor Connections that Mihalko's would give me $3,058 to cover the repairs to the roof and inside ceiling. Contractor Connections has emailed me this week stating that Mihalko'[s has been non-responsive to them in getting a check issued to me. I'm asking the BBB to contact Mihalko's to have them issue me the settlement check.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This complaint can be closed because I did receive a check for $3,058.86, however, this settlement was paid directly from Mihalko's to me.  The third party merely negotiated the amount for the settlement.
