            A piece of bone was in my beef sandwich at Arbys. This was traced to the CTI Foods process and they agreed to pay for my dental bills for my tooth replacement. After I signed the release to get paid, they notified me I would need to fill out a W-9 in order to be paid. This implies the settlement could be taxable, which was not figured into the settlement. I find this unethical, as I feel this changed our agreement, but since they had my release, they refused to discuss this further. Having never dealt with a settlement like this before, I had no idea a W-9 was required and felt this should have been told to be before the release was signed, and not after. I was just looking to cover my costs, but now may end up paying taxes on the settlement. The company should be more up front with future settlements so the victim is aware they need to take into account any taxes.
