In May of 2021 I was delivered a temporary propane tank- to hold me over until my propane tank could be filled.I was told- how ever much I use from the temp tank, would be deducted from the fill completed on my primary tank. The very next day, my tank was filled and the temp tank was unhooked. I am being changed for the temp tank, and they wont come pick it up.Initial Complaint

We used Amerigas for our home, They have a policy not to allow the tank to go below 15%.We received a promotion on fuel dated 1-1-2021. We ordered the Propane=200 gal. @$2.79 per gallon. We had to call in to get the certificate to accept the order. On 3-2-2021 we called them for a Delivery date. They had no date scheduled. We stated the tank is running low. They set up a delivery $634.45, then added $250. for an expedited delivery. We cancelled our contract. They still billed our credit card. We have called in for the last five months trying to get this cleared up. On occasion we are told any moneys owed is abated. Then we get another bill with different charges, The latest states "other adjustments" $219.98, and "late fee" $36.00. The tank sat in our driveway leaking or two months. When is was picked up, and pumped out we should have received a credit for the propane in the tank. Nothing like that is responded to. I called again today twice, and both times the robot disc, meInitial Complaint

A general contractor who built our pool house 4 years ago ordered a propane tank from Amerigas in Holly Hill FL to power our generator (which he also ordered). I would like to refill the tank I was billed by Amerigas and paid for in full at the time but don't have the account number. Today **** in Customer Service at Amerigas refused to serve me because the phone number on record does not match our phone numbers. That is because a GC opened the account and I don't know what number it is under but is incorrect for our purposes. I am also not able to get my tank refilled by another propane company as I need a letter of release from Amerigas or they will be fined $3000. I cannot get anything from Amerigas without the unknown phone & need propane to back up my sump pumps or my property will flood. This is completely unacceptable. I am going to have to call another company to install a new tank if this cant be resolved immediately. But I may not be allowed to do that either.Initial Complaint

I closed my residential propane account with Amerigas in May and was told they would be sending out a driver to collect the 250 gallon tank I had been renting from Amerigas. Two months after the driver picked up the tank, I received a bill for $149.99 for a "Pick up fee". When I called to close the account, I was not told I would be a charged fee by Amerigas to send an employee of Amerigas to collect the tank owned by Amerigas. On the bottom of the bill, customers are encouraged to visit amerigas.com to view the Terms & Conditions. Nothing in the Terms & Conditions suggests customers will be charged a fee for an Amerigas employee to collect a rented tank that belongs to Amerigas. I called to speak with someone about the fee and they told me the fee is justified because they have to pay a driver to collect the tank. Paying for Amerigas employees to operate Amerigas vehicles to collect Amerigas property should be the responsibility of Amerigas. This "Pick up fee" is nonsense and a scam.Initial Complaint

I have been a customer since 2004, and back at the end 09/2020 beginning of 10/2020 I contacted Amerigas to transfer my account that we have sold or home and need to transfer the account to our new home. I Called in plenty of time for them to come out and read the meter and Capp the tank. They did not want to move the tank sue to the amount of gas in it, they said they would cap the tank off and issue credit for the remaining gas. They did not want to install a new tank until the home was completed. So on 2/3/21 2021 to set-up delivery on 3/4/21. As of 2/3/21 the old tank was not capped off or picked up and they have not read the meter. I have over 20 conversations with them about the old tank and trying to receive the credit for the transfer. As of today they still have not been to check the old meter to transfer the account credit. They told me I need to get the money from the new owners. That is was my responsibility since the account is now closed not a transfer
