  This company is awful ..Been with them for over 3 years they were not accommodating at all .Long story short this company auctioned my belongings off for 130 .00 dollars .I beg and pleaded with Management to hive me more time just a few days .Mind you I owed 800 dollars going thru hard times they sold my storages for 130 dollars .My son who passed away pictures and clothing very sedimental items and other things .Just think if a person trying and pleading they should have better measures in place especially when people are trying ro resolve issues such as mine . Im

  CubeSmart is not a trustworthy company. My friends and I have faced the same issue: they lure you in with an affordable starting price, then raise the rent multiple times without your approval. In my case, the rate increased three times in just one year. This is nothing but a customer scam. Potential renters should be warned the initial price is misleading. If you want honesty and transparency, look elsewhere!

  I leased an 8 10 interior unit at the facility in ******, **********. I should have realized it was a predatory operation: the sale was handled online and apparently by offsite people. The unit was far from parking and most of the units closer to the door were unoccupied. Basically, their racket is renting customers a unit that they believe will be tough to vacate (lots of people who need storage are in the military or working as traveling nurses or are students, etc). Then they raise the rate after your first or second month by a lot (11% increase after 40 days in my case) and continue to do so until you're fed up. I'm sure they end up confiscating the possessions of people who lease storage because their apartment rents have gone up or they're escaping domestic abuse and they're living in smaller quarters or on a couch with their kids. It's big money behind these storage outfits--private equity firms that see profit in gouging the vulnerable, the poor, the young. I'm lucky enough to be able to move my stuff out But what about the people who aren't?

  I rented a unit at CubeSmart in *********, **. I paid my latest bill with my debit card. I have the reciept and proof that tge money came out of my account and Im being told that it was a chargeback! Im trying to resolve this issue personally not over the phone however, everytime i show up during business hors the door is locked and no one is at the desk. Now they have doubled my bill and I am a single mother barely making it through. All of my belingings anny kids belongings are in thar unit. It seems as though they want my stuff to go to auction. I need help! What do i do. How do i do take legal action if necessary?

  This business is charging large amounts of money to the rents after using their facilities to the tune of 143% increases in rent charges in short amounts of time. I rented a unit and 4 months later got an increase of 143%, its unfair to the consumer and probably unlawful in that amount of an increase beware of there practices.

  Update: I was informed there would be no added fees so the check could come in. It came in on a Tuesday, and I immediately deposited it at the bank branch. It cleared on Friday, and I went Friday to pay for the units. There were around an extra $250 worth of fees on my accounts. Though k was told there would be no added fees, there are and the District Manager (*******) refuses to remove them. I did everything that was asked; and on there end, they kept zero of the word. It took over 2 months to receive the check.

  This company CUBESMART is the most disgusting association I have had with any organization in my 64 year of dealing with businesses. I am 85 years old and been an employee an officer in corporations and a small business owner. Consequently I have had exposure over my business career with all kinds of institutions, businesses and people. I have had a storage unit at the same location for over 35 years and during those 35 years it was a reasonable and pleasant association until CUBESMART bought the location. CUBESMART has over the last 3 years created a horrid experience. The personnel the have employed are deficient in language skills, incompetent in customer communications and ill trained.I intend to evacuate my 35 year storage unit ASAP and convey at every opportunity a message that CUBESMART the most despicable business I have ever encountered.

  Wish I can leave a negative star ************* paid $70 for them to go in my unit when I should have privacy to it impossible to get in contact with the store manager or anything never rent from THEM!!!!!!

  I really have no words for this business. After an alleged " breakin" and theft of property from my unite, the employees didn't even make a police report which was indicative of " an inside job". At 70, although I paid insurance on the unit, I was so worn down I abandoned filing an exhaustive ************************ claim. My suggestion is " steer clear " of this business if you can! I was paying a fairly steep fee for " someone " to steal my things. ??
