Worst company ever and worst employees ever. Very very rude. Canceled my unit via email and they kept charging me and sent it to collection. Manger is very rude and wouldn't let me talk on the phone. He kept talking over me..Review from Steven P

BEWARE Do Not Trust Them - ********************************************** & will raise the price quickly after you get in. I recently lost my father and moved a truck load of his tools and equipment into a CubeSmart storage unit in *******, **. Shortly after moving in, my storage unit was broken into, and I lost most many valuable and unreplaceable items. When the police inspected the CubeMart facility, there was only one camera and it wasnt working. With all of their storage units and they had no security coverage. The police were amazed at the lack of security. Despite me losing sentimental instruments that my father and grandfather used in their trade (many antiques), the CubeSmart employee showed no empathy and then tried to sell me a new lock. The facility employees look as though they were just pulled off the streets and they became irritated that they had to do additional paperwork and answer questions from the police. The District Manager, **** ****, was a joke. He did nothing to correct the situation, and CubeSmart raised the price of my unit right after the thief. When I asked why, he said demand is strong and the majority of units are rented, so they can raise the price and if someone cannot afford it, they can leave. **** said they can easily get someone in that can pay more. Extremely immoral, unprofessional and risky. Find a better place please!!!Review from Diana P

I paid a storage unit from 7/23/23 to 6/04/24. Paid every 6 months, total $1,281.58. Supposed one month free. At the end refunded one month. On Feb/24 I reported somebody stolen from my unit some items. On 6/04/24 I reported again the issue and the Manager on duty told me was my fault because I used a Master lock and are to easily to open. My concern is I need a code number to open the gateway and another code to open the building. And supposed not any way from the roof. Look like a inside job. ..now the customer service told I have only 24 hrs. to make the claim. I'm flying rush out of the estate for my brother's funeral. When I came back I started unpacked,my surprise I missed more expensive and brand new items total$3,428.86. I'm NOT recommended this company to anyone.Review from Dimitri H

Literal thieves, would not cancel my account for months after telling me they had. They even replaced the lock on my unit after I had taken it off, so I lost access to it while continuing to pay.Review from Derrick D

I have never rented a storage unit in my life but this location was close by and relatively new so I tried it. I went to the place to get a better idea of what the units looked like. The woman didn't go into much detail on the process- only said to reserve it online and that I had to buy a lock separately if I wasn't using my own,The following week, I reserved the unit, paid for it and signed the contract online. I was supposed to get a welcome call but it never happened. I went buy the lock and the woman working that day said it was on the unit, a complete opposite of what the other employee told me. I loaded my stuff up to get to the unit and only found a zip tie on the lock. I didn't want to open it b/c I didn't know the lock was in a welcome bag on the inside. Had I known, I would've opened it. So instead I loaded my stuff back up in my car and went home. I didn't want my stuff in a unit if there wasn't a lock with it. Had they explained the process to me better (like they say explain it to me like I am 5), this would have been a much better experience.I went back the next day and the only guy working was someone from another location that was filling in so he wasn't familiar with that facility. However he showed me where the locks were, how they worked and a closer place that I could unload my stuff. At least there was someone that knew how to do their job. I WISH I would have seen these reviews before renting from Cubesmart. These people are correct, where do they find such uncaring and inflexible management? I reserved a unit and when I went to pay for it the "lease" changed the date of the reservation to the signing date. No attention was brought to this change. so even though you book your reservation for a certain date BEWARE, as soon as you sign the lease it is activated. So if you are someone who plans ahead and calls for customer support to make sure you get the reservation done correctly, DOUBLE check anyway, b/c the lease date starts as soon as you sign and pay for it REGARDLESS Of the date you requested to start your lease. It is not like a reasonable hotel reservation where you book it and pay for what you book. NO no no, these people take your booking and instruct you to sign as soon as you are sure you want the unit. I did this but didn't notice their bait and switch routine of changing the dates so now you are paying for a month rental and they have taken away over a week or more of your rental time. Cubesmart has such a nice facility in many ways, with the exception of absolutely NO TRASH cans anywhere except the restroom ( I guess they prefer people to litter), they have a professional set up. But the way business is conducted and management handles things is abhorrent. Shame on you Cubesmart. From the way you have treated us and other reviews below, you are most DEFINITELY NOT putting Us first as you advertise on your FB page. Please anyone reading this-USE CAUTION before signing with this company. I WISH I knew even half the stuff they've done to people and I could have avoided the frustration. I opened a CubeSmart account in September 2023. Just today I received a bill for $80 more due to a rate hike. When looking for a place, I called and they said there would not be hikes for a while, my niece called and she was told there would not be hikes. Not even 6 months and it went up $80. Am cleaning up my storage as soon as I can. I hope this company closes down. New place on ******************* in **********, keep awayReview from Elizabeth W
