Went to this facility to get a new car. Very rushed transaction, did not know or tell me much about the vehicle. I was young and eager to get into a new (but used) car. The car kind of bucked during the test drive, but associate told me that it was because it hadn't been driven in so long and it would work itself out. It seemed to go away after a while and I forgot about it (this is important later). Told me the radio is kind of broke and sometimes doesn't work. They could fix it, but that meant I wouldn't get the car for a few more weeks. Said that if I took the car home right then, and the radio stopped working, the warranty would cover it with no cost. RADIO BROKE AND THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME $100 TO FIX IT. I understand the warranty deductible but that was NOT what was explained to me during the purchasing process. They fix it at no cost after a bit of back and forth. Fast forward 2 weeks and I start getting phone call after phone call from a company "trying to fix my credit". I finally get a hold of someone and they said that they got my information DIRECTLY FROM MCCANDLESS FORD. I called McCandless and guess what - the credit people stopped calling. So now - my warranty is out and my transmission happens to stop working. Take it to the shop and the head mechanic says that it needs a new transmission plug (or something to make it shift automatically) AND THAT THE PART HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES ALREADY. Said it would be $2200 to fix but that they couldn't do it at their facility. I owe $4000 on this car, I can't replace a part for half of what I owe for it to break and need replaced in a year AGAIN. Tried contacting some one in charge to talk about this - can't get a hold of anyone. Very frustrating that I'm left with a car, that I can not drive. How many other young women and men have they taken advantage of?
