wrote and published a children's book called ****** *** *** ********** ** **** *** this cost me 5000 dollars to do. According to reviews it did well in sales however I have not received any thing from the company, and I got a three-month sales report stating I only sold 7 books I know for a fact that I have sold a lot more. The book is in many stores including barns and noble and amazon. Not to mention what friends and family have bought. Also E books were never mentioned, and someone had to buy them. This company Acts legit but there is to many problems with whole thing will go to a lawyer if need be to rectify this

Prior to this author submitting this complaint, he did discuss his concerns with one of our Senior Account Managers, and they attempted to provide clarification and what would be required for Christian Faith Publishing to look into this further. The sales reporting comes directly from Ingram, the printer and distributor. As one of the largest printers and distributors in the world, we have no evidence to believe the provided sales reports are inaccurate. If this client would like to provide the sales receipts for the bulk orders purchased, we will gladly investigate further on his behalf. We would also like to state that having a book listed with retailers such as Barnes and Noble and Amazon, does not guarantee sales. As a new and unknown author, time may be required for sales to be generate, but Christian Faith Publishing is unable to predict or promise sales after a book is released.

Hi. I have CFPH a payment of $990.00 june2022. I was/am seriously emotionally ill. I contacted them and told them I could NOT go forward because I was ill. This was well within the 90 day period to cancel. They refuse to give me my refund and “advice” me to try to continue paying them and work on my book. I’m in a period of being emotionally unstable. I can have my Dr. or therapist verify this instantly. I didn’t INTEND to get sick. The refund of my $$$ would help my home considerable. I WILL file a complaint with the State of Illinois Attorney General office. People with emotional problems don’t KNOW when something is going to happen. They just happen. I told them “ how is it going to HURT you to do the right thing and give my $$$ back. This is unbelievable. Please help

We have been in recent contact with this client regarding these complaints. As stated to this client previously, there is not a 90-day period to request a cancelation and Christian Faith Publishing is unaware of where the author received this timeline/information. The mutually signed agreement terms state that the author has 3 days from the date the agreement was signed info effect to request a nullification. This client requested to cancel approximately 60 days after the agreement had been submitted for processing by our team and signed by our representative. We have continued to provide further clarification and assistance when requested and available. We do empathize with the author’s health situation, will gladly meet the terms of the agreement, and continue work on the project when the client is ready.

three weeks ago when I made my final payment I am no longer able to get to my authors portal and approve marketing and distribution of my book. I would like to speak to an actual person and ensure my book is available as promised and paid for. I paid over $7000 for this book to help with sales and marketing. I just want what was PROMISED I do not know if it is a coincidences, but right after my last payment the gal that was working with me left the company.

Following the submission of this complaint, contact was made with the client to directly discuss the concerns presented and provide further assistance. The representative from Christian Faith Publishing explained to the client that he would need to contact his publication specialist directly to give his approval on the complimentary copies he received so distribution can be enabled. There is also a record of this client speaking with their point of contact, just a few days prior to this complaint being filed, regarding approving the complimentary copies. Christian Faith Publishing has all intentions of completing the terms of the agreement as agreed upon as we have been in contact with the author during each step of the process and will continue to do so. Christian Faith Publishing would also like to state that a new representative overseeing the authors account is merely a coincidence in timing, as his previous contact opted to take another position. Should this client have any further questions or concerns, we encourage him to reach out to his publication specialist directly, or by calling our customer service phone number and any of the representatives will be able to assist.

I published a book with this company and was dissatisfied with the way funds and contracts were handled in general. Now they are sending checks that can not be cashed. Chase bank says they are not legal checks. The person handling our account , **** ********* has answered no emails. Customer service claims they know nothing about the checks. Even though it looks like all other checks cashed by this publisher. I have talked to the 2 business managers at Chase Bank who both say the check has had its endorcement cancelled.

Upon receiving this complaint, several attempts have been made to speak with this client directly regarding the earned royalties with no successful results. Our Customer Support department has been in contact previously regarding this matter and has provided additional information about the cause and a solution. The check issued initially did have an error and was voided by our accounting team. At that time, the option was presented to the client to fill out a form to have the funds transferred directly into her account. This form was sent multiple times via email with no response or completed form returned. To rectify this issue, the client will need to reach out to our customer support team directly and complete the requested information. We can then have the earned royalties issued. The client can reach us via email at [email protected] or by calling our customer service phone number.

In my entire life, I have never dealt with a more useless company. I swallowed their sales pitch and paid thousands of dollars for them to print, publish and help market my book. Up until all the money was paid it was all nice and cooperative. Once the book was published- absolutely nothing. After waiting three months for a quarterly report I saw that one book was purchased. And yes, it was a friend of mine who bought the book. Trying to get in touch with anyone at the company proved virtually impossible. Finally, when I got in contact with someone I was first interrogated as to why I wanted to speak to anyone. I told them I needed to talk with someone about marketing. Their response was that they do not help with marketing, which was not the distinct impression I was given at the beginning. I used Christian Faith Publishing specifically because of their assurances that they gave me regarding marketing. I had already had the book printed at another company for only $4.00 a copy but which did not include marketing. I didn’t need to get CFP to reprint it, but only did it because of the assurance they gave me of marketing it. I asked if they could refer me to a book marketing company, which the representative agreed to do. However, all she did was send me a notification of some book shows which I could have easily got off the internet. I contacted the person at the book show office and they had absolutely no idea how effective their book shows were, or kept track of any data pertaining to the effectiveness of their book shows. They expect you to pay hundreds of dollars to feature your book at a book show with absolutely no idea as to its effectiveness. Trying to reach anyone at Christian Faith Publishing, to maybe get some more ideas, has proved to be totally useless. This company is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Following the submission of this complaint, contact was attempted and successful with the author to discuss the concerns further. The items completed on the author’s behalf were presented with the agreement that was signed by the client to begin the process. We did create the files and have his book enabled for world-wide distribution with the authors involvement and approval. As a new and unknown author, sales cannot be predicted or guaranteed, additional marketing completed by the author is encouraged to help promote their own work. The marketing completed as agreed upon consisted of a webpage and press release. It was explained to the author that Christian Faith Publishing does offer additional marketing options, one of which is through a partnership with another company. We cannot speak on their behalf regarding specific statistics to the effectiveness of their services, nor is that information provided to us. Additional marketing information and ideas were presented and sent to the client for further review and consideration. We are sorry to hear that we did not meet the expectations of this client. We do, however, wish him the best of luck and should he have any further questions, our customer service phone number or email are available to provide assistance.

This company does not have any communications. I am an author and locked out of the author portal. I would like to confirm sales if any. I have also tried to publish another book with them. Repeated messages left no response. I have since gone to another company. Two new books will be out May 30. FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE is a huge problem for any company. If they are going out of business. FINE BUT LETS COMMUNICATE

Upon receiving this complaint, immediate action was taken to get in touch with this client and to do a further review of the received communication requests. A supervisor was able to get in contact with the author and discuss her concerns with the author’s portal, relay the appropriate credentials for signing in, and ensure she was able to successfully log in to review her files. Should the author have concerns in the future, our customer service department will gladly assist via email or by calling our customer service phone number directly.

I am reporting this establishment due to unjust practices. My book went online May 2023 for sale on Amazon, Books a Million, and Barnes and Noble. I received a quarterly sales report of 5 books sold. I decided to do a revision to my book. I was told that the book was going to remain online for sale during revision. The revision was to only take 30 days, but I ended up receiving the book 8 months later! (April 2023). My publicist called me (unaware recorded call) April 19, 2023 regarding the screenshots of the (8 sites: Amazon, Barnes and Noble,Fable Co.,Reader House,Walmart, Thriftbook, Google Books, and Books a million) I sent her of the book sites that had my book listed for sale, and a request for my quarterly sales reports that I missed! She answered "My book didn't make any sales!" Because it was not for sale while it was in revision stage. I said you told me that it would remain on the shelf during revision! And you mean to tell me I didn't make one sale in 8 months! Because the trailer for the book was great! I tried to go on Amazon, and use a book tracking system called "KDP" to tell you how many books were sold on their site, but I was denied access . I was told that CFP, is the only one that has the access code for account. I have no way of tracking sales on any of these sites! I received a $3 income tax check for the 5 books sold last year, it prompt me obtain a ein number for future sales, because it is an income. It is a mystery who filed the 5 books last year! This book is not just a random skit, it's the story of my life! My God given purpose! I hope that you can help me resolve this matter, thank you in advance for reviewing this complaint. Have a wonderful day!

After receiving this complaint, Christian Faith Publishing reached out to the client directly to resolve this matter and further explain the distribution and reporting practices in place. Upon receiving the initial complimentary copies of the author’s work, the client gave the approval in May 2022, to enable world-wide distribution. This allowed retailers to list the work for public sale on their platforms, and order physical copies if they wish. It was then decided, by the client in August 2022, to make changes to the interior and exterior of her work. During this time, distribution remained intact, and copies were available for purchase through online retailers. As a published author, this client is able to view the estimated sales through Amazon after setting up an Author Central Account for her book. The official sales report is finalized by Ingram (the distributor) at the close of each quarter and is then made available within Christian Faith Publishing’s Author Portal for review. As a new and unknown author, time may be required for sales to be generated, but Christian Faith Publishing is unable to predict or promise sales after a book is released. If this author has any concerns in the future, they are free to contact us directly and we will provide additional information and clarification.

I hired the company to self-publish a book. I purchased the premium package with a cost of over $9,000. The entire process has been a nightmare. Their editing was horrible, and I received zero help on the cover design. I have paid them a ton of money and had to do everything myself. The book still needs to go to print due to editing delays. I have called and left dozens of voice messages asking them to call me back and now asking to speak with management, and I can't get any response. I am very disappointed and wish I had never hired them.

Upon receiving this complaint, a review of the client’s case was performed, and contact was made in regards to the concerns provided. A full copy edit was completed for the client, where he then had the opportunity to review the file for additional changes or requests. After an additional two rounds of changes/adjustments, the client then approved the edit and opted to move forward into the page design stage of the process. The client then had additional opportunities to review the file and recommend or request changes. This client requested several additional corrections during the page design process, and then ultimately approved once more before advancing into the cover design stage. Christian Faith Publishing does not move forward within the process until the author has had a chance to review and approve each file after it has been created. The exterior was designed using the author’s own reference image as requested and after minor adjustments, it was also approved. There was miscommunication regarding the files the author was reviewing, with the concern of the incorrect version being used for printing. After discussing the matter over the phone, the concerns were handled promptly, the files were reviewed, and the author has approved them to move into the production stage to have the complimentary copies printed. Should the author have any concerns in the future, he is free to reach out to us directly and we will happily provide solutions.

I had hired CFP to aid in self publishing my book. As soon as most of the money was paid if was extremely difficult to get any email correspondence back. Editing was included and my book was riddled with grammar errors. I hired another editor to have the issues fixed. Which was an added expense. However they did give me some reprinted author copies which I was greatful for. Cover design was also included and was awful, I ended up designing my own cover. It has been over a year and have not recieved a cent. After several attempts to contact CFP I did get an email back asking me to update some information. I had moved so that was understandable eventhough my mail was forwarded to my new address and I should have recieved a check from them. It's been about 3 months and still no check. PLEASE beware of this company, it may make publishing your book extremely discouraging. I created my own cover with canva, hired my own editor and could have published my book for under $500, and this company charged Me just under $5,000 and I did all of the work. Extremely dissapointing.

After receiving this complaint, further review into this client’s case was completed. Christian Faith Publishing fulfilled the terms of the initial copy edit of the manuscript on 04/13/2020, at that time, the author had the opportunity to review the edit that was completed and request additional changes. The client then went through an additional 4 rounds of editing corrections before the edited version of the manuscript was accepted and moved forward into the page design stage of the process. It was there that the author had additional opportunities to review the file for formatting and content changes before approving once more. The cover design created by Christian Faith Publishing was what was initially requested by the author, with minimal requested changes, it was also approved by the author before being printed. During each stage of the process; editing, page design and cover design, a final authorization was provided by the client before moving forward towards the final printing stage. It was after the initial complimentary copies were received, that the author requested additional changes to the interior and provided a newly designed exterior of her book. A revision was completed at no cost to the author where any requested modifications were made, and additional copies of her book were provided to her for the inconvenience and dissatisfaction. In regards to the earned royalties, with the clients updated address not being provided, the royalty check was not received. Since the time of this complaint, all earned royalties have been issued and mailed to the address provided by the client. This author is free to contact us directly with any further questions, we will gladly provide assistance.

I am a published author with Christian Faith. I paid several thousand dollars for CFP to advertise and sell my book. I believe they took my money and did NOT advertise my book. The adds were to run after my book was officially released. I looked and listened to try my best to see an add anywhere. I did NoT see or hear even one advertisement. Needless to say, they did not sell even 1 book. Every book sold was sold before any adds were even suppose to run. After the supposedly adds, ZERO books were sold. So, they either took my money and didn’t bother to run the advertising or the adds were so bad no one bought a book. Either way, it should be illegal. My book is a good book with a great story. I believe Christian Faith took my money and because I’m a nobody from North Dakota, they did not even bother to sell or advertise it. I have had NO response from CFP when I have asked why zero books were sold. Did they even run an add? I don’t believe they did. If so, at least 1 book would have sold. Or the adds were so bad, no one bought a book. Either way, I feel I was wronged and it should be illegal.

Upon receiving this complaint, Christian Faith Publishing has attempted numerous times to contact this author regarding the stated claims, and our attempts have gone unanswered. The marketing services included within the author’s agreement do not include an ad service, nor is one offered by Christian Faith Publishing. Contrary to the claims made, we have completed and delivered all services within the signed agreement. The author chose to add on additional and optional marketing services; video trailer, social media launch, podcast interview and a printed promotional package; all of these services were completed as agreed upon, and they do not include the option for ads to be run on the authors behalf. As a new and unknown author, time may be required for sales to be generated, but Christian Faith Publishing is unable to predict or promise sales after a book is released. We are more than willing to provide additional marketing tips and ideas should the author like to explore other options. The author is free to contact us directly and we would be more than happy to address the author’s concerns and answer any further questions he may have.
