I have had no problems with Members 1st. They are willing to work with you to get what you need.

They are insulting and the biggest scam credit union in the world. Use a third-party department that is extremely behind on CPI for loans. They will say they never got your documents and claim they mail letters to you, which is fraud on their behalf. This credit union is such a scam; I can't wait to get away from this business! If you try to do arbitration against them, they will fight you and no allow you to file it even though it's your legal right!

This is the most fraudulent bank in *************, at some point there should be an investigation and most of theirs customers should get theirs money back ( same as happened to **************** years ago). This bank rip peoples off their money by their inaccuracy in their app and then charging courtesy fees. A bank is supposed to manage the peoples money but members 1st credit union is basically robbing theirs customers money, whenever opening the app never trust the number you see, they dont update those numbers unless you spend more money than that you have so they can charge you $32 dollars every day for overdraw you account, those tiff called courtesy fees .

I filed a dispute on my Members ********** Card. It's a very legitimate complaint, over just under $32, and they turned my down. Today, September 5th, I get a letter stating that they closed my debt card, and I only have until September 14 to go to another bank. Isn't this criminal?

This bank SUCKS! I have been a member at Members 1st Federal Credit Union for 36 years! Since 1987, I have had 6 auto loans with them and paid them off before they were scheduled to be paid off. I applied for a debt consolidation loan and was denied. Considering that my income increased significantly, and I was working hard at eliminating credit card debt, I applied and was denied again. Well, I later received debt consolidation offer from another financial institution who said I was pre-approved to consolidate credit card debt to an interest free credit card for 22 months. So I did that. About 3-4 months later, I received an offer for a pre-approved loan from an financial institution to consolidate the remaining debt, so I did. My credit score jumped over 120 points. because the interest rate on the second offer was higher than I would like, I was certain that Members 1st would allow me to refinance that loan at a lower interest rate. So I waited 2 more months and applied at Members 1st to refinance that loan to a lower rate and I was denied again. I called Members 1st, told the person who does the intake information for loans, that I had been a member for 36 years. I have been on my current job for 32 years. I have a credit score of 768 and have a 6 figure income, to include a A1 payment history on all of my bills to include my mortgage. I have NEVER defaulted on a loan that I had from them. Why did they come back and say, because I have been a long time customer they would offer me a loan for less than half of what I applied for at an interest rate 1 point less than the loan I am trying to refinance? Number 1, I have a large allotment that goes directly to my account biweekly, number 2, on pay day they will take their money before I get mine. They used to be Members 1st, now they need to change their name or is it because of my profile picture on my account that they are making their decisions? I told them to keep their money.

This bank is terrible and is constantly stealing money from its members. They charge you a $37 fee even when you have funds available. They release the funds then the next day they return the funds and charge you a fee but you never get the funds back. It all starts when there so called fraud department contacts you via text asking if you did a transaction or not. The stop your transactions when ever they feel like it. Then they charge you a fee and are constantly taking money out of peoples accounts. If you have the funds made available for payments and the bank releases the funds then why are they returning the money the very next day and on top of it charging a $37 fee every time. Someone there is definitely pocketing the money from its members and it needs to be dealt with or I will be contacting a attorney

Incompetent is my best description. Don't ever do business with these people. I felt comfortable because my mom's family is from this area, I was wrong. I have tried to just find my account info from their terrible website for months. The have no way to email them as the do not want anything in writing about their terrible service. Their chat box is useless of course. When you finally get a "representative " they disconnect you because you want normal information any account holder would. This brings me to why I am dealing with these idiots anyway, None of any normal information about your accounts is available on their website. No account balance, no statements etc. I have a loan at 3.1% for a car. You would think they would want me to pay off with fed funds at 5.5% but these people are so stupid they don't let you access your information. I hope they file for bankruptcy and then I will just forget about paying. Poorly run company, website.

Very unfriendly representatives. I had a couple loans out with them and a bank account. When my wife and I had a baby our working situation changed and we couldn't always make the loan payments on time. They would, without warning, take the money out of our account. This left us sometimes with an inability to buy food or necessary items for the baby. The representatives didn't care at all, and still charged us late fees for the loan payments. Obviously we decided to work with another bank.

Only time I ever went in the credit union was a cruddy experience. Stood in line while two out of the three tellers ignored us. Manager came out and they suddenly came to life. Went to make a deposit and they couldn't. They were in network but only allow withdrawals- no deposits. Zero star experience.

Take your money somewhere else, anywhere but here. This bank is awful. and their customer service is a joke. DON'T GET A LOAN THROUGH THEM, YOU WILL SIGN THE CONTRACT AND THEY WILL CHANGE THEIR TERMS, YOU CAN'T BUT THEY CAN. ACCORDING TO THE LADY I SPOKE WITH ON THE PHONE, WE HAVE ATTORNEYS THAT TELL US WE CAN. So what does that tell you? I now pay my employees to go start accounts elsewhere. I wont direct deposit into Members 1st ever again. and they won't ever see a dime of my money again. So far the past 7 employees have gone somewhere else. Every chance I get, I tell people how they treated a long time customer. I have nothing good to say about them. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A TOP PRIORITY WITH THIS PLACE.
