Our family has gone there for years. One red flag for us was when I had to get gum surgery recommended by them-- I was very clear I couldn't afford thousands of dollars of dental work that I had to pay out of pocket. They assured me that they were in network and thus I would be covered -- what I didn't know was that the SPECIALIST who came to THEIR office was not in network. When I went to check out after surgery, I had a $2000+ unexpected dental bill. More recently--after always changing our kids' appointments, requiring more and more visits, etc - the office was unable to complete a simple dental form for my child's school even though we probably asked and called six times. Scammers with horrific service.

I was experiencing some pain around my gums and couldn't seem to figure out where the pain was coming from. I was so relieved when the Dr. located some decay below my gum. Of course, leave it to me to have a rare occurrence. I'm so happy to be pain free. Everyone was so compassionate and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Media Dental Associates for your dental care.

Beware- this practice has shady billing practices, preys on the elderly and oversells and bills anything they can just to exhaust your insurance. My parents have been going here for years to remain loyal to Dr. Kantner in spite of many billing issues and then continuously suggesting unnecessary dental work. Even he couldn’t look my mother in the face today and basically ignored her when she walked in inquiring what was going on. My father, who is in his 80’s, went for a routine cleaning which ended 2 hours later and included additional X-rays to clearly bill his insurance. My mother checked in only to find him holding a pen with several people insisting that he sign off on $2500 in additional dental work. It seemed he was being forced to sign something he did not understand. Furthermore I found out that after his cleaning he had been left alone and was wandering the halls of the office. This place should be ashamed at how unethical and shady their practice is. When I called to speak to someone they took my number and then immediately sent me a text to join as a new patient. I don’t expect they will call me back, but my parents will not be returning to this practice any longer. They should be investigated and put out of business for good.

They upcharge patients for unnecessary dental work, and their high rating comes from the fact that they bribe people with Phillies Tickets and SUV giveaways to leave them good reviews and refer people to them. When I went the hygienist was very friendly but the Doctor and billing department were extremely pushy about me getting some kind of coating on my teeth that would cost hundreds of dollars and insurance didn't cover. Literally never heard of it and when I googled it later it was said to be "only somewhat effective". When I said no thank you, the doctor told me I would need three crowns to fix intense cavities with my teeth. He was looking at X-Rays that were over two years old, and all of the cavities he point to in the imagining had already been filled since then. It shocked me that he didn't catch that. I would have had thousands of dollars, and lots of pain for absolutely nothing if I had listened to him. When I asked to see the payment plan for crowns, the woman from the billing department said I wasn't allowed to have a copy of the proposed payment plan unless I agreed to it. When I asked her if I could take a photo of it, to go home and think on it some more she acted very defensive and taken aback. When I asked her some questions she again got very defensive and said "you tricked me into saying those things!" ......what? My insurance covers a dental cleaning every 6 months. Covers it 100% so I should pay nothing. But I got a bill in the mail for "dental hygiene education" during my visit. When I called the office they apologized and took it off the bill. Over all it gave the impression of a greedy and unethical practice who is trying to squeeze money out of their patients through dishonest means. I won't be back.

Do NOT go here!!! This is NOT a real dental practice at all! The front desk will give you FALSE information about insurance and pricing. They are completely unprofessional! They have NO real knowledge of dental issues and will only perform services they think they can collect $ from your insurance! Or yourself! They will then proceed to harass you for extra $ over and over! I had been going through breast cancer treatment and already have enough stress going on. They don't care about anything but taking your $ and milking as much as they can from your insurance!

I had the best comprehensive treatment done at this office. Mary went above all my expectations of a dental hygienist. She was very thorough with my cleaning and also making sure I was very comfortable as I don't like getting any kind of work done. LOL Dr. Carey came in to do my comprehensive exam and thank God I did not have 1 cavity. I'm in the cavity free club. I would like to straighten my teeth out, so I'm going to start my Invisalign there. I'm so excited for straighter whiter teeth in my near future!

My family and I love coming to this practice. The Dr Carey is so great!! She is gentle, kind and knowledgeable. The front desk team is really great making sure I know everything that my insurance does and does not cover for to my treatment . The hygienist could not have done more to gather information with xrays, pictures of teeth , measured pockets around each of my teeth and then reviewed everything with me so when the Dentist came in to do my exam I was familiar with what was being talked about. I really felt like part of the process. No surprises and no stress. I am the kind of person that gets nervous at the dentist so I can appreciate the information the way it was given to me because understanding my issues really helps me relax. I will be taking it one step at a time and I know I have road ahead of me but I am so glad to have a Dentist office that will work with my fear and go through my treatment at my pace.

Wonderful, transparent office! I needed a large amount of work after years of not having been to the dentist due to fear. My full feedback: Phone Call: warm, friendly receptionist; she seemed so excited that I was becoming a new patient. I let her know of my dental phobia- she made me feel better by giving me feedback on the provider I was seeing. She worked through my schedule as much as needed to find the perfect time for ME. Knowing that they were nice...made me feel better going into the office. Arrival: I was still fearful (I can't help it!!!) There was a sign with first name welcoming me!! Everyone at the front desk looked up and smiled at me. Some fear began to leave. They welcomed me by name and before getting into any logistics-- money, insurance etc they offered me a tour! They offered me a beverage and just made me feel literally like I was visiting a long term friend's new home. Then, they asked me what was needed in terms of insurance etc. Everything remained kind and was transparent. Seeing the doctor: the assistant called me back and was so friendly. She walked me to the room asking about me and welcoming me to the office. I told her again about my dental fear. She reassured me that I'm in great hands and told me she too had the same "dental issue" that I was experiencing. This made me feel better! The doctor came in and asked me about my summer plans- I was surprised we didn't get into dental right away but I liked it. I told her about me and my kids trips. She has two kids too!! She let me know this is a family office - I loved the convenience. Then we moved into dental. She educated me step by step and I felt "safe" the whole time. She worked w ease. I was comfortable the entire time. They walked me to the front and everyone was great! They called me the next day to see how I was. I was surprised/relieved. I had no pain after! I DID schedule my kids. They had great apts too! Dental phobia fixed! I just needed the RIGHT office!

My experience with Media Dental Associates as my primary dental office has been a great one. I needed a root canal (On a tooth worked on by another dental office) and not only did they recommend me to another great office to do the work. But when I came back, Dr. Maria put my crown on a month later and it was quick, easy and painless. I really appreciate their help and work.
