I have ****** ********** as my Insurance. I am covered for a routine eye examination. I went to Riddle Eye and got just a routine eye examination, but was charged for a medical procedure? ****** ********** is siding with the doctor and saying it was a medical procedure because they do not want to do the additional paperwork involved with this claim. One of the ladies I spoke to at ****** ********** said it was improperly coded on the bill. I have called both the doctors office and ****** ********** and have gotten no help at all with this. I want ****** ********** to do what they are supposed to do and pay this doctor for my routine eye examination. I just want this bill to get paid. I do not think I should have to pay for someone else's mistake here. This is fraud isn't it? to do one thing and then charge you for something else? I just want this bill paid after the bill is properly coded and resubmitted. Please let me know what you can do for me as I have nowhere else to turn. Thank You!

    September 26, 2022

    Good morning,

I am writing in response to Complaint letter dated September 18th.

I would first like to say that I believe we already addressed this complaint with full disclosure as to the circumstances involved. We followed all protocol and even contacted the insurance company with a resubmission of charges even though the patient'clearly stated having medical issues that needed tending to. Initially, proper billing procedure was initiated and for as the patient's medical concerns were tended to.

Because the patient is so adamant about the type of visit she wanted billed, we have retracted the claim from her insurance.
If there is any other explanation needed, please feel free to contact me. Enclosed please find the initial response we prepared and sent on September 8th.

    Thank you,
    Jennymarie M******
