I was a streamer on Tagged. I received diamonds from my Gefters that I converted into money. I worked for my diamonds from the site, and I requested my $200 cash out from Tagged. Three days later, my account was taken down because they said I volunteered under conditions that they had not explained. My problem here is that I worked for my diamonds and requested them on 8/01. A couple of days later, they deleted my tagged and never sent my cash out. I feel they basically robbed my Gefters and me of the money I was owed for the work I put in. I have written them several times about my cash out, and the only email I receive back is that your account was deleted. I requested my cash out 08/01/2023 My account was deleted 08/04/2023.Business response

hello, on meetme.com that has an option for you to go live stream and talk and interact with your viewers in return you get diamonds from viewers once you have 80,000 diamonds you can redeem that for cash reward equal $200 I have redeemed mine, but instead of me getting the money, the money has never arrive and they close my account saying I broke the rules when I did not do anything( they cannot provide information of me doing anything wrong, they just closed my account out of nowhere.) I do not wish to return to be a streamer on their platform anymore, but I just want my money that I redeemed, it took a while to get 80,000 diamonds It tooks months, I just think it's not fair for them to take it without an explanation what I did wrong. I never smoked, cursed, nude on livestream.Business response

I am absolutely appalled at the way Ive been treated by the support staff of the application. I have been a faithful member for 2 years and have spent thousands of dollars in support of the app and my fellow content creators. My account was permanently closed due to violating the terms of service. I had violated no terms and have been a positive voice for myself and others in the MeetMe community. I have requested correspondence with support numerous times and havent received a single response since the initial account closure email. This is beyond unjust, and entirely unfair. I have documentation proving my innocence, and still remain without response. MeetMe was my primary income and now I am unable to pay my bills and very well may lose my home and vehicle because of it.Business response

So people are joining apps under the Meet Group umbrella such as MeetMe and Skout, to find and talk to real local people. All profiles are supposed to be verified by the app taking pictures of the person making the account. However, this is not occurring because there are hundreds of fake/spam accounts on there. I, along with countless others have reported these spam accounts, and The Meet Group refuses to take action to remove these accounts. These accounts are stealing peoples pictures and information to make bogus profiles. There are also real people using bogus profiles in an attempt to take money from people. Again these have been reported but they refuse to take action.Business response

Dear BBB,
We take the safety of our users very seriously and employ many anti-spam measures. These include both proactive detection of spam as well as moderators who work around the clock to review user-submitted reports.
Our records show that our moderators have reviewed many reports submitted by **************** regarding spam or scam behaviors. These reports were investigated and the proper actions were taken based on the available evidence. **************** should continue to use our in-app reporting tools if he encounters any behaviors he believes are in violation of our Terms of Service.
If **************** knows any person who has had their photos posted on a profile without their permission, he should encourage that person to contact us directly.

I have spent a lot of money on this app. I could not login on ****** only so I messaged support and they suggested trying multiple things that did not work. They asked for my IP address to see if they could fix the issue. Days went by without a response, Which is unordinary for them.. as I’ve had issues in the past. Eventually, I logged in on pc and updated my profile picture to a picture of a coffee mug, that exact moment it automatically logged me out of every browser and android session. Odd, right? I messaged support again and this time they responded swiftly stating “ Hello, The profile in question was permanently closed for violating our Terms of Service.” Which is a bunch of baloney. This was the second account with the same email they deleted that I have spent a lot of money on. I was a high level gifter twice. This supposed violation is false and I have reason to believe their automatic systems wrongfully took down my high level account.Business response

I want would like my $911 back tagged cancelled my account with no legit explaining other than an Automatic generic response of you violated terms and conditions when I know for a fact that I didn't do anything wrong to justify my account being cancelled. I had a a VIP badge and a balance of gold coin at the time of cancellation This is poor business practices and I have been emailing this guys non stop and they will read and ignore your email. This company needs a lawsuit and I am working on doing just that.Customer response

On 5/31/2023, MeetMe deleted by account with their company with the only explanation given stating The profile in question was permanently closed for violating our Terms of Service. The only way to communicate with MeetMe is via email, and after countless emails from me requesting to know why my account was deleted they will not reply with specifics. I simply get ignored or provided with the generic response given above. This is a streaming platform in which users can purchase credits to gift other users. Once gifted, the gifted user can convert that gift to credits or cash out to their PayPal. I have spent thousands of dollars and have also been gifted by users. MeetMe was allowing me to spend my money on their application but will not allow me to cash out on the gifts I have received from other users. These gifts have not been returned to the users that sent them to me and I cant access them, nor is MeetMe replying to me about how I can access the money. This means they are keeping this money for themselves. The intention of these users gifting me was not for the money to go to MeetMe, it was to go to ME- the person being gifted. This is an unfair business practice and theft. I have no access to the account to recover what is owed to me from what I purchased in credits and from what I was gifted. While my account was active, I was banned from streaming several times without just cause. I was banned for being underage (Im 35 years old) for the shirt I was wearing, and for extreme sexual content. The explanation I was provided for being banned for the shirt I was wearing was due to wearing a see-through garment which my lingerie was visible through, but their Top Badge and heavy money making/spending streamers on the application can flash users, wear see-through clothing, and men can stream shirtless with no repercussions. I feel discriminated against for being a female and not being a top badge streamer. Meetme promotes bullying, women beaters and rapists.Business response

Dear BBB,
We have reached out to **************** directly and consider this issue resolved. We can confirm **************** was able to successfully access her account, and has since been able to claim the cash reward she is referring to.
To note, it is not possible for our live video moderators to target anyone for bans in the manner **************** has described. Video moderators classify content based upon the standards they are trained to uphold, and these standards are applied uniformly across all users, regardless of gender, spending level, or badge status.
We encourage ****************, and all users, to report any behavior in violation of our Content and Conduct Policy using the in-app reporting tools for our moderators to review. The Meet Group is firmly opposed to bullying and other toxic online behaviors, and strives to make our platform a welcoming environment for all.
If **************** requires any further assistance, or believes she has evidence of other users violating our Terms of Service, she may contact us directly.

It really says something and just horrible this company's customer service is when I have to use the Better Business Bureau every time to get a simple response. How unreliable when it usually takes a week or more to get an email back and usually it's an generic automated response. On May 29 2023. I tried to cash out my Diamonds for money as per the terms of the cash rewards request on my Meet me account. It was rejected when I put a valid ****** email. This app along with tagged is now probably the worst headache I've seen when trying to do something simple. Every time I close and open this app, there's always another change or curveball that doesn't make sense regarding in getting your money. It either switches from "Enter your ****** email." Then "Enter your valid ****** Account email. Or "Enter your real ID and Photo to verify yourself" (which I've already done before.) Or verify yourself with a W9 form( Which I've also done as well.) How can both of these apps be so inept and horribly managed at this point? How many times do I have to put the same information and following the guild lines when the app Meet me can't even decide what it wants to use? At this point I'm afraid to do any attempts further because I feel like my account is going to be terminated if I get anymore rejected transactions. Meet me and whoever is working there. Fix this sloppy excuse of any app in cashing out. I met all the guild lines for diamonds, I have the screenshots showing how the system rejects everything. Fix it.Business response

Dear BBB,
Note that security measures are in place, including ID verification, to ensure that cash rewards are being submitted by and awarded to legitimate users who are in compliance with our Terms of Service.
During a routine review, it was determined that ****************** was engaging in behavior that violates our Terms of Service, and as such, his account was terminated.
Per the MeetMe Terms of Service that ****************** agreed to, if an "account is terminated for any reason, you will lose all accumulated Virtual Currency (Credits, Diamonds, etc.) and Gifts without refund or other compensation."
That being said, ****************** is not entitled to reimbursement or reinstatement, and we consider this matter resolved.

While streaming on this platform for over a year, my account was shutdown permantly for no reason and $200.00 was not paid to me as agreed to when submitting my cashout. I have been trying to contact this company for over a month regarding my payment, they will not answer emails and have no phone number you can call. Very suspicious. Customers have purchased credits to give to streamers, streamers receive these as diamonds, and because I have not received my cashout payment, the company has kept all the money with no explanation. For those thinking of purchasing credits, beware, because when gifting, the gifter, may never see the money you have given. I believe after a year of streaming I should receive a reason my account was closed and why basically $200.00 was kept from me.Business response
05/26/2023
Dear BBB,
We confirmed the violation in question and found that the account is not eligible for reinstatement, refund, or payment related to virtual currency.
A routine check performed prior to processing cash reward payments showed that the Diamonds in question were earned by breaking the rules.

The Meet Group
