In April, 2023 I hired next level concrete to build me a gunite pool and signed a contract with the owner, ***********************. We gave a 50% deposit of $34,000 to start the job and order products. On July 6th, 2023 our pool was dug. During the month of July we received gunite, tile, and wood forms for concrete. In August, work came to a halt. We decided we wanted more concrete and signed a new contract and paid $22,000 for the concrete and a retaining wall we found out we needed. After that we stopped seeing any work get done. It is now October and we still have no concrete, no plaster in our pool, no equipment to run a pool and a huge mess in our backyard. The owner has stopped calling us/and or texting. We have been told that he is in over his head and we arent the only clients he has done this too. We also found a complaint on consumer affairs from a client on August 17, 2023 stating almost the same exact thing happened to him at his property. At this point, he has our money and we want the job to be completed as promised and signed off on.

On September 27, 2022 a contract was created between Next Level Concrete and myself to replace the front steps to include the complete demolition of the old pavers with replacement of brand-new pavers and three lights, the entire pool deck demolition and replacement with stamped concrete to include all drains in the color thyme medium gray release, a skimmer to be determined, an area of river rocks to the side steps would also be removed and replaced with stamped concrete. Finally, it was agreed and contracted that the rear steps leading directly to the pool area would also be removed and replaced with stamped concrete steps. It was agreed that entire area of the rear pavers around the steps would be removed and connected to the concrete pool deck. Next Level Concrete (*********************** Owner) received a check on September 27, 2022 dated for September 30 ***** for $10,250.00 which he cashed on October 3, 2022 towards the total due of $25,000. The job was agreed and notated on the contract to have begun the first week of November 2022. *********************** agreed to take care of all permits that would be necessary. I was informed by him that this whole job would take no longer than 4-5 days. On October 6, 2022 *********************** informed me via text that, everything was ordered and we are all good On November 12, 2022, *********************** told me that he would take care of all necessary permits. I informed *********************** that I wanted to make sure that we had the permit displayed in the window prior to getting started. The company failed to obtain the proper permits which I have now had to obtain myself. The work has not been completed and I have no concrete around my pool, no rear steps as they have removed the previous ones without replacing them, and no new paver steps in the front still as of August 19, 2023. This business has failed to obtain the permits, failed to provide a start and end dates in the contract, and has delayed the work without good reason multiple times.

The address according to his license is **** ********* ******, Philadelphia, PA.  He has abandoned the job and left with a job that was never completed.  My yard is completely torn apart but never poured the concrete.  He took almost $20,000 for the job and never completed it.
