I went on disability In mid Nov. On cred i blocked and locked my main ***** I burned (which is closed, and deleted) my virtual card which I used. Cred AI made it clear when you burn a card, its gone and no one can charge it. Well Today, many weeks I get an email that my account was charged 12.99 by "FORCE" which is the word they used. To a card that did not exist and was also LOCKED to have no charges. I email them upset. Im told they couldn't help it that a merchant violated **** terms or some c*** like that and I could dispute the charge. I will drop Cred AI like a bad apple if this dont get fixed. This is not only fraud on their part, but a violation of what they say they do. Why would they allow a locked, and expired (deleted /removed) card to be charged? Im highly upset and may file complaints with GOVt agencies on banking over this. I love my cred ai account, the metal cart etc. But now I have my doubts as to their validity. I will only accept communications thru BBB on this issue. Any attempt to call or contact me in another way will be ignored. I look fw to the resolution.Business Response

The customer has responded to this as of 12/21/2023 and stated ...And thank you..I did see the reversal/dispute come in shortly after the complaint was filed. I honestly didn't expect much after the first communications. If I do have any future issues, I will give it a bit more time as you have proven to be fast, and effective and super fast at support after all.

My entire paycheck has not hit my account as of 1pm today and it was received on 11/22. I have called the emergency line and their only solution is that they will escalate it and Ill hear back in 3 days. I have bills and credit cards that are due today. Furthermore, no communication has gone out addressing this delay. This is so unacceptable I will be closing my account as soon as I receive my funds!!!Business Response

I had a transaction that was declined on 11/15/23. The transaction was declined but the money was taken out of my account and not returned. The transaction was supposed to be made to apple but they have no record since it was declined by cred.ai. I have contacted them numerous times and nobody can tell me where my money is and why it was deducted from my account. My back was stolen with my phone and wallet and cards in it . I called to notify the company that it had happened and they sent me a new card , I continued to go to work & continued to received my check into the account only to find out that apart of the the dispute is to freeze the account & not accept transactions . They didn't tell me this into my second time calling in to question them on why I received my new card but can not activate it . This company does not answer their phone it is a their party service which handles the calls & have no form of reaching the tech support team besides an email . They finally contacted me by email with no discussion saying they are closing my account & sending my deposit funds to me a week from now . How does one file a dispute and request a new card only to get the account closed . This is very unprofessional . They do not care about their customers nor do they car about your financial situation . I've been without my funds for a total of a week now & it's about to be two more weeks . Getting robbed just to have my company not help me *****. STAY away the credit builder is not worth it , they do not even communicate with you and have to much power in the fact they can block all your transaction over a dispute you self submitted.Business Response

I rented a car and used my cred.ai card for the deposit and they processed it as a payment. So they won't release my money and the car rental people were on the phone with cred.ai at the same time and told them by fax to release the money. Cred.ai received the release on 9-9-2023 and processed the release on 9-12-2023 according to their own admission by email, and I still haven't got my money.Business Response

So my money is stuck in Cred.Ai I have $2429.61 stuck in there, but they won't let me transfer the money out because they say my card account is closed, but not my deposit account. I should be able to withdrawal all my funds from that bank account, instead they're holding my money hostage. I've never dealt with a worse bank in my life even *************** is better than these useless tools. If a bank closes your account they should allow you to withdrawal any funds that are inside the account still. They're making me wait a week before October 26th, 2023 to transfer out any money which is holding my money hostage. Their support team is useless they say they're forwarding stuff to a the escalations team and I never receive an email this online fintech company is full of it! I want my money to be available to withdrawal immediately and they can close the account after not make me wait 1 month to transfer the money out. I have a dispute with **** I have return the merchandise. I receive verification that they received it. I provided the tracking number, and **** emailed me that a returned would be issued within 7 to 10 days. Its exceeded that time frame in the funds have not posted to my account. I attempted to make a withdrawal from an ******** atm which is a partner atm with Cred.Ai and the atm did not dispense my money but did deduct the funds from my account. The atm was in a a gas station and the owner did say a technician had been there the day prior trying to fix the same issue. I called the atm servicer and recieved a reference number confirming the maintenance issue with the atm. I called Cred.Ai and disputed the transaction and gave them the reference number from the atm servicer. They told me that they would need to contact the "merchant" and this process could take 45 days. They refused to give me a provisional credit even though this atm is on their atm locator map and is considered a partner atm. Now I am without the $140 that the atm failed to dispense to me and am being forced to wait while their "investigation" can be completed.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: my funds are still missing in my account. The failure of Cred.AIs atm to dispense my money has caused undue hardship to me and my family. The atm location owner and the servicing company for the machine confirmed the malfunction of the atm the same day of the incident but Cred.Ai has still not returned my funds for over 2 weeks now.

As a follow up to our prior response, the dispute claim was finalized in the customer's favor on October 16, 2023 and the customer was provided with a final resolution notice at that time. cred.ai performed all actions related to this customer dispute in accordance with bank regulatory timeframes and can confirm that the adjustment was made permanent on his credit card statement on October 16, 2023. I have been using cred.ai and their services for 8 months now without issue. It seemed to have been doing what it said it would do. However one morning out of the blue I received an email stating that my account is shut down. They have no phone number to call nor did they respond to my reply emails. There had been no prior issues or warnings or anything of the sort. The email did not give a reason for the closure, just that they did it. For a company that is all about improving your credit closing an account and loosing that line of credit reflects poorly on your report as Im sure they know.Business Response

It is our policy to close all accounts upon receipt of a second application when it is considered suspicious or fraudulent. Additionally, cred.ai performed additional follow up directly to the complainant on 10/17/2023 and re-sent the two notices that were owed to the customer: the account closure letter and a Notice of Adverse Action on his second application. We believe it is noteworthy that the complainant does not mention this second application in any of his correspondence with us or within the complaint.
