Dealing New Lane Finance was horrible because they:*Over-charged (STOLE $8586.09 [the equivalent of more than 8 months worth of payments] from my account AFTER I paid the account in full),*Delayed in returning the $8586.09 that New Lane Finance STOLE from me by three weeks (after repeated calls by me to the company; the customer service representative nonchalantly blamed the theft on a computer glitch),*Gross-negligence in not informing me of an outstanding debt to ********* ******* ******** which New Lane Finance left me on the hook for.

The customer had paid off the account in full. When an account is paid off in full the auto ACH feature on the account is shut off. In this scenario, due to a system anomaly, that did not occur and it resulted in the quoted buyout amount being debited from the account. As soon as it was brought to NewLane’s attention the refund was fully processed as expeditious as possible at that time. NewLane is not certain what the customer is referring to in reference to “********* ******* ********” and would need further clarification regarding this assertion and therefore NewLane does not have a response at this time with regard to that specific assertion.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: New Lane failed to communicate with ********* that I have paid in full, and that I still have an additional $5,715.15 I still need to pay off. I was under the impression that I have finished my loan contract for 3 months until I got a surprise bill. ********* also agreed that New Lane is inept but unfortunately they have to deal with them.

There is nothing more to do in this case, I wanted to let everyone I know how irresponsible New Lane is and they are not a good company to deal business with

    Regards,

    ***** ********

I received notice today that *** ******** rejected NewLane’s response. In *** ********’s response she references ********* and that NewLane failed to communicate with Paramount. I am respectfully requesting that *** ******** provide some clarity as to what entity is Paramount and provide some background as to how ********* is involved and how it relates to *** ********’s equipment finance loan with NewLane.

    Thank you,

this unit has not been installed onto my truck I was approved in the month of September for the unit and 120-day deferred payment, and they set the installment date for the month of December, Due to some financial hardship and truck repairs and other financial issues I could no longer afford to have this unit installed. I have tried to talk to ******** at new lane finance, and also *********************** at ***************, but when I talked to ******** he stated that he had sent the payment in the month of September well before the unit scheduled date that was set for the month of December, so I ask ***** at parks industries if he would please send the money back because the unit has not been installed. I put in a complaint with parks industries but was told that my complaint would be with new lane finance.

The customer signed the Equipment Finance Agreement with NewLane on September 8, 2022 and at that time NewLane funded the deal to the vendor for the equipment. Under article 2A of the Uniform Commercial Code this is a non-cancellable lease and it clearly states  that above the signature line of the agreement. NewLane has already sent the funds to the vendor to fund this deal. The customer additionally signed a pre-delivery acceptance stating that the customer directs NewLane to pay the vendor for all the Equipment not delivered or installed as of the date of signature and that they understood that if the later delivered or installed equipment is not what the customer expected or if there are any other problems with the Equipment the Customer understands and agrees that he or she will be responsible to make all payments under the Agreement and comply with all other terms and conditions under the Agreement.

Although the customer is fully responsible for all terms and amounts owed under the Agreement, NewLane is more than willing to work with the customer and the vendor to try and resolve this for all parties. NewLane has reached out to the vendor to see if they would be willing to possibly sell the equipment and mitigate the damage for NewLane so we can deduct any sale amount for the equipment from the balance owed. If the vendor is agreeable to that, at that time we will reach out to the customer with an offer to settle.

    Thank you,
