PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! This is a rip off! DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY COLONIAL PENN!!!!!!! The commercials sound genuine but are not!!!! I called to just get info on their policies, talked to several agents who spoke with a heavy accent. None of them would give me ANY info unless I provided my bank account number!!!! When I refused to give out that info they hung up on me. I kept trying and the same thing happened, they hung up on me. So, that tells me they are NOT legit but scammers. It's in the best interest for anybody to go to a reputable company in their area. Please don't believe the commercials.

Wish I could leave 0 stars this company has made my mother's passing a complete hassle. Telling me they are sending documents to me and never received them. I have had to hear the same runaround. ******** D My god mother passed away three months ago. I was told my claim was processed and the policy check would be sent via mail. I called to follow up this was a lie and never happened, instead it was not even processed. Ive called several times and every time Im being told its in processing. Now a email is being review by a supervisor which will take 5 business days and which its been ten days since it was suppose to be processed. No one can help me!!!! Ive been lie to for 2 months. Its so disheartening that you lose you love one and can even pay for the. Things you need to out of the policy. I will never recommend this company ever!!!!!! You people say no questions asked n when I called they rejected me cuz I'm too healthy for you. Basically you want people that are sick w cancer or aids etc. Your commercial is a lie a big lie cuz you don't want healthy people to get on ur policy you just want people that are sick.i hope someone takes you to court for false advertisement about ur commercials. I have been fighting/dealing with Colonial Penn since my mother passed December 27, 2023. Today is June 25, 2025. I FINALLY received her life insurance money in the mail. I have been constantly on the phone since my mother's passing. Her policy state that her cremation is to be paid out of her policies. It has been a headache to say the least. Since February I have been getting the runaround from CP. It's a constant blame game ....CP blamed the funeral home for not getting the right info and the funeral home blames CP. Almost Everytime I call CP it seems to be the same excuse. Once in awhile it'll be a different excuse BUT ALWAYS an excuse! This company does NOT care PERIOD! My mother's ashes have been at the funeral home since December! DISGRACEFUL! I hope they don't/ won't treat their mothers this way ! AVOID THIS COMPANY! Yet another company playing bait and switch scam. I worked 20 years in personal life insurance and I know an insurance scam when I see it. You should be ashamed for the elder abuse, which is Exactly what you offer. I tell people not to buy from your company. You can buy a policy, online, in a matter of seconds" but it takes one of their non-English speaking reps over 20 minutes to tell you what you must do to cancel a policy.It is absolutely ridiculous.The actually tell you to send back all the documentation you have...Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company Response

They are thieves they sell our information to other insurance companies and we're solicited by every insurance company just by inquiring with one my sister got an insurance policy on me and was unable to cancel it without my verification 3 months after she thought she canceled it.
