We purchased the 2019 ****** *** *** on June 10, 2023 from Highline Automotive in Langhorne , PA, with $7500 downpayment and a loan 66 months, total sale price $52,275. The mileage of 81,104 vin#*****************. We would like to return the car to Highline Automotive and for all our monies be returned to us, the loan null and void, for the primary reason being “the car is not roadworthy and cannot be driven” and this “car cannot pass an inspection”. We drove the car only twice, first the day we took home on June 11, 2023. The car was in our driveway for 1 week, not driven, as I worked all week. On Saturday, my day off, June 17, I drove the car and red engine warning lights appeared. I contacted Highline Auto who instructed me to bring to subaru dealer. On June 17, I schedule appt, then June 19 dropped car at ****** of ************. On June 20, the authorized Subaru dealer issued a $7000+ repair bill for "reseal of engine block". They stated car should not be driven further to prevent damage. Now, Highline Automotive is currently refusing to refund my $7500 and void payment contract for this undriveable, non roadworthy vehicle they claimed to have fully inspected and serviced. The ****** of ************* assessment is attached and they were astonished this car with blackened oil, 7 points of seal leaks, down graded wheels and tires, air bag deployed(which we were not informed) was sold as this to us. We simply need to have our money refunded and this loan null and voided. We have contacted the financial institution ******** ********* and informed of this loan of an undriveable, non road worthy vehicle.

The response from Highline Automotive was "You are not returning the vehicle and You are not getting your money back" and they also responded by telling us the ***************** Dealership in Hackettstown NJ "Is s******* you over and lying".   The ****** dealer has determined this car is not drive worthy and they are still holding the car which remains non repaired and in serious condition.  Highline also wants the car back without returning money or breaking the loan agreement, so they can fix it but the ****** Dealership refuses to release the car to them, since they cannot be trusted at all to resolve this lemon vehicle they sold under false pretenses.

We have had to rent cars and purchase another cheap used vehicle, so we can get to work.  We also tried to have this loan null and voided, which is still in the hands of determination by ******************* whom have several complaints against them as well.

So, nobody is helping.  Payments are being made for a car we cannot drive and we are in distress and being taking full advantage of by this corrupt dealership.  We are not a rich family and this is really a shame that it allowed to happen to a customer of good faith.  Its an embarrassment to the state of Pennsylvania that they allow this kind of business to be conducted.  Clearly, a scam and a shame the way they have completely taken advantage of us in NJ.  We have a lemon law that protects us in NJ and we will never buy another vehicle in Pennsylvania.  This state should be also ashamed of this business being allowed to lie about the vehicle, downgrade tires and rims and most importantly, the engine is blown, leaking and needs a complete oil reseal.  This is not a minor glitch but rather a cost of almost 50% of the vehicle's sale value.

This has really put a hardship onto our family and a women recovering from breast cancer is working overtime to pay for the collateral costs we've encountered.

Highline Automotive Inc. is the worst car dealership we've ever dealt with in our entire lives.  Shame on you, shame on you....

The vehicle in question was fully serviced and driven for a few weeks prior to the sale with zero issues.
The customer visited the dealership on two occasions and did their due diligence. This car had no leaks at the time of sale however, we expressed that we are willing to pay for transportation to have this car back in our service center to verify complaint they claim. We also contacted the ****** dealership where the vehicle was located to verify the issues stated and they refused to give us any information. Customer stated that the ****** dealership refuses to release to car back to us for repair, which is illegal and untrue. We are always willing to work out a solution, however in this case the customer was not willing to work with us. It also came to my attention that the person who purchased to vehicle did not know how to drive a manual transmission and was learning on this vehicle, which could result in some serious issues if driven improperly. We spoke to ***** over the phone on numerous occasions and he admitted thar he loves the vehicle but felt buyers remorse as he felt that he paid much, which is a separate issue.
We consider this case closed since the customer was unwilling to have us ship the car back to our service center for diagnosis confirmation and repair. We did not receive any evidence or any correspondence from the ****** dealer to verify any damage.

Highline Automotive sold me a car with a check engine light on in March 2022. They have ignored all requests to repair the car. The constantly put me on hold when I call. To make matter worse, I just found out that they never sent the contract fee in to ********* in order for me to have a warrantee to get the car fixed. I would like a refund, trade in, or compensation for the stress and times missed from work trying to get this issued resolved. Not to mention the run around and being placed on hold for hours. I have been humiliated and taken advantage of .

They sold me a car with the check engine light on. They tricked me. They took my money and then told me that the car was not on the lot and to come back. I came back in a few days and got the car. It had no stickers on it. About 20 min after I pulled off the light, the check engine light came on. That is why there were no stickers on the car. That is why they moved the car off the light after I gave him them my down payment. It's also because they were trying to reset the code to the check engine light so that I did not know it was on. I was given the run around month after month after month. Finally when I couldn't take it no more, I decided to try the warranty company, only to find out that they never sent the service fee to activate the warranty 8 months into having the car. Now I am stuck owing the balance on a car they never really stood a chance.

The customer purchased a 2015 ******* ******* with 112,778 miles at the time of purchase.  We warranty the car for the first 30 days of purchase.  The customer purchased a service contract for the car that should cover the needed repairs.  This car can go to any ******* dealership.  Should you have any further questions please feel free to call ************.
