Do not get a mortgage through this bank. I wanted to change what bank my mortgage payment came from, so I went online and set up a new autopayment (note, nowhere on the site does it say if you set it up at the inception, you have to fill out paperwork and cannot do this online). Next month, payment was attempted twice out of the bank I no longer had funds in (I call that Bank A). Contacted customer service, they said I had to fill out paper form. Did so, and faxed it. Next month, attempted out of Bank A twice again. Called customer service, they couldn't find my fax, so it never got changed. She assured me she took care of it. Next month, happened again. Talked to two customer service reps and they confirmed it will not happen again, yet the second attempt happened again after I talked to customer service. They said, wellllll, it is set up to do it automatically a second time and we have no way of stopping it. Um, you mean to tell me that if a customer notices you took it out of the wrong account and is trying to stop a second attempt, you have no way of stopping it? I find that hard to believe. I have no confidence that this is fixed and I'm going to have to close that other account. Also, they said they would not be able to reimburse me for the overdraft fees incurred at Bank A ($210).PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

PNC started a fraud investigation on my personal account which was linked to my business account and put a hold on all of my personal funds thereby prohibiting me access to my payroll funds, SS check and dividend check recieved from my ******************* I was watching ******* one minute and the next, it went down due to non payment because PNC had put a hold on my account. No on gave me the courtesy of a call or anything and when I called to try and resolve this I was given the run around for two days and treated like a criminal .....I am 72 years old, I am a Controller where I work....I am an accountant and I can read a ledger......PNC mishandled this whole situation and the people who worked on this situation were inept, unskilled and lacking in financial knowledge and acumen. I would not let my dog do business with PNC bank if he could do banking......I was once the Controller of a multi million dollar business that switched from PNC to Citizens before I came onboard and I often wondered why they would do that....I found out. Thanks to PNC, I have had checks bounce due to them putting my account on hold, I have been denied access to my payroll, my social security check and all my persoanal funds.......while they determine what? That my funds are sourced from the ****************************** and *********************** Great work PNC!!!!!PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

A wrong transaction was approved multiple times by the PNC bank on a sane day by the same merchant and the transaction was not monitored by the bank . I filed a dispute and bank could not help me with it. How trustable it is to have a account with this bank. If fraud activates are not monitored and the customers are not getting any alerts from the bank we will lose our money.PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

I've been with PNC well over 15yrs. I recently went through a rough period where I overdrafted my account. I've called to see if they could work with me and they said they couldn't. Which is absolutely absurd especially being a good customer for so long. Your customer service and solutions to issues are absolutely horrible. I will never recommend you guys. The fact that you denied to help me even when I applied for a loan to help with the overdraft so I don't overdraft again. With the economy and America today we're all struggling you'd think companies like you guys would be more understanding.PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

I've been with PNC for 10 years and hate hate hate it I've tried multiple times to deal with them. But at thus point they just keep taking my money and none of their people are educated enough to tell me what kind of account I need. I am a college student and I liked using pnc as a savings account but for some reason I was moved from a student account to a virtual wallet and then charged a 7.00 service fee. Little did I know this service fee was eating up the money I thought I was saving. I don't do the notifications for pnc because if I see I got money I'm going to spend it the whole point us to deposit money and not think about it ever again. I feel like pnc complete took advantage of me and basically stole all my money then charged me overdraft on top of that then compound it so all the while I'm depositing money and pnc is eating it cause I'm in the negative so within these 10 years I've been absolutely screwed and all pnc does is shrugged their shoulders and say to bad to sad you want to close your account give us the rest of the fees (that I shouldn't have been charged for in the first place) and then we'll close your account. They took no accountability and now I have to rewind 10 years and start saving again. I'm absolutely beside myself not only do I feel robbed financially but robbed mentally and emotionally. PNC robbed me in ways they will never be able to compensate 10 years is a long time and time is irreplaceable.PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

PNC changed the origination fee (points) associated with our mortgage application from .825% to *****% just 5 days prior to closing, after realizing that we did not qualify for the first-time home buyer credit of $ *****. We chose to utilize PNC based on their initial good faith closing estimate, which was lower than other mortgage lenders due to the original .825% origination fee. We were never told during the loan application and approval process that fee could or would increase due to not qualifying for the first-time home buyer credit. The closing costs associated with our home purchase rose by a total of $ *****, of which $ ******** was a direct result of PNC choosing to more than double the initial good faith origination fee (points) from *****% to *****%. We asked if they would reduce the fee to the original good faith estimate, but in the end, they said there was nothing they could do to help us. We would just like others to be aware of these "bait & switch" tactics that we fell victim to while mortgaging our first home purchase with PNC!PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

First off, I do NOT have a PNC account at all. The company had used my email address for a Client that banks with them. I have been receiving emails everyday for over two years now, reminding me that I am Opening Accounts, Doing Transfers, etc. Therefore, I have to call them everyday of my life to ask if somebody stole my identity. I am not allowed to have my contact information removed because it's on an Account that has never been mine. They give me a hard time from that simple question.Do I just have to contact PNC for the rest of my life and ask about Identity Theft? This is not very Ethical to share Client information with Non-Clients.Please do your due diligence before banking with PNC as your information may be given out to somebody that does not bank with them (And if that happens, it will stay like that until you and the random stranger meet up from Across the Country and go to a branch together.)PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. After getting out of the hospital (OHS) in December, I was notified that PNC had purchased my mortgage. Well, I was also going through divorce and we agreed I would assume the mortgage while buying out my ex wife. In January, PNC explained this assumptions process would take 4-5 monthsonce the divorce is final. The divorce was final in late March and my assumption was given to ****** claims to be a customer service specialist. in the meantime, *** has done nothing but complain about the number of assumptions they have to deal with while also providing contradictory info each time we speak. Someone needs to remind her that HER employer is buying these mortgages from other banks.and she should complain to her mgmt (not customers) about their workload. As a customer, this just comes across as another excuse and/or reason to delay things even longer. Great customer service, huh?!?!Now we are almost in July, *** has put my paperwork on the back burner despite the fact there is a court order that I have to SELL MY HOUSE if this assumption is not approved by mid August. As a former stepdad who has lost his entire family of 28yrs, if PNC/*** continue to play these games and I am forced to sell my home (25yrs), then what do I have to live for??? /_(?)_/ Not one single time, while enduring this process, has *** said I can/will help you, Your situation is important to PNC, Dont worry, I will make sure this gets done in timeor anything like this. It would be nice to her her sincerely provide some assurance to a very desperate customer who is looking at losing his home in less than 60 days.PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

You must agree for your cell phone number to be shared and used by any and all affiliates in order to sign up for text alerts. WTH? What affiliates? I'm not giving permission for my phone number to be used by anyone other than PNC to send me a text about an upcoming payment, or get a text reminder or a past due notice perhaps. They do not offer any of these notifications via email either. This is shocking. This is not reasonable or fair. It's actually quite sketchy for a bank to 'force' someone into giving permission for any and all companies to do whatever they want with your phone number. Obviously they sell my info to other "affiliates" for "services". So friggin' lame!!! total BSPNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Response

I have multiple loans that were transferred to PNC. It has been an absolute nightmare with the insurance. They continuously mess up the policy numbers to the loan numbers and send the payments to the wrong policies. They have multiple times force placed my insurance incorrectly from their mistakes. They cancelled insurance or send notification they have not received payments when they mess up the numbers. Consumers should have a choice on who services their loans, If I had, I would never had accepted them managing my loans, I would transfer them out immediately if I could.PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.
