Today, I received a bill from Advocate Intensivist Partners. I don’t know who they are, nor do their claims state anything about their care provided. I’ve had fall too many fraudulent hospital bills coming in from these so-called partners!!!! If they’re really apart of the hospital they claim. They would know about all my insurances! But out of nowhere, here comes this so-called bill. I called the number that’s listed today at 3:30pm and 4:15pm. Within their suppose to be 9-5 am business timeframe! Both times I got a recording! NOBODY available to answer my call! All they wanted was for me to leave information from the bill (patient account information, and my contact information). Sounds like someone phishing! I’ve screenshot the bill and attached it to this complaint! These fake/ghost doctors need to stop with these fraudulent scams. Wanting me to send them $158.94. Contact my insurance carriers!

    Good afternoon,

Since this is healthcare related the information shared here will be limited. These providers are part of Advocate Aurora Health and did attend to this person while he was inpatient. We have billed his insurance and received payment. The balance billed to him is his coinsurance responsibility. He would have received explanation of benefits from his health insurance carrier as well. He did not have a secondary insurance that covers the professional provider portion.

Our phones can get busy at times and if he would have left his account number, we would have called him back within 2 business just as our outgoing message explains. A coustomer service representative will call him tomorrow at the number in your letter.

This is a valid patient statement for services rendered.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I’ve had Medicare for a quite a while. I don’t always give my information to just anyone because there’s so much crime happening. Especially when it comes to these fraudulent claims of medical services! Then to wait for several months to submit these so-called claims. So again, I’m asking have they submitted anything to Medicare? The hospital has! So has everyone else who knows and have provided health services.

    Regards,

No. I have BCBS-IL, as well. I got a phone call from a lady name Kimberly today. She claimed that there was no other insurance information available. I told her she needed to check again, instead of asking me for information they should have access to already. Kimberly called back and claimed that she found it. Then wanted me to confirm some number she stated she had received, but not being accepted. And can I verify the information. I called Medicare and informed them about the issues. I was told that during that same timeframe Advocate Health Care billed Medicare and got paid from them and my primary provider as well. So how is it that this company has not provided that same information to Medicare or have the right information. Medicare is waiting for the so-called claims.

    Email #2:
Here is the letter that I received after getting those collections calls.

    Email #1:

    Good Afternoon ******** ******,

Today I received a call from a collection agency. I  don’t respond to calls I don’t know who they are. Anyway they called from ###-###-####. They also left another number to call them back. I hate sneaky people! And as you’ve seeing, they are working hard to make me pay them for services they claimed they were apart of, but haven’t stated who or what they did! Advocate is secretly filing false claims {ghost billing} without any consequences.

Frustrated and tired of the harassment!

    Respectfully,
    ******** ******
