      The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced (specifically dealt with Libbeth and ***** M on the **************** team). ********************************************* has recently changed their return policy (nothing like it used to be), and I was out of the country on my honeymoon in the window when my order was to be returned. I called immediately when I got back from my honeymoon to explain the situation and got the runaround from several **************** Representatives that they were looking into it and they would get back to me. I never received a phone call back and instead, had to turn to leaving feedback on their app in order for someone to even respond to me via email. Thats when I spoke to both ***** and Libbeth (via email), and they let me know that they couldnt find any calls or indication that I spoke to anyone over there. They said several times that they were unwilling to help me return the items and suggested that I go sell the items on Poshmark or Platos Closet. They also said that they would not escalate the issue to a supervisor because there was no one beyond them that would be able to help. This is so disappointing coming from a loyal customer for the past 10+ years and it seems like they care more about their new policy, versus working with a customer to try to arrive at a solution. I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere and hope everyone else does the same!

      After 20 plus years of shopping with American Eagle, i will not be shopping with them again. I am stuck with pants due to the horrible return policy. I would rather pay a higher price point at *********** and others than deal with the poor service. At least be mindful of those that have given you service for years. Not everyone is out to return worn clothes, it's disgusting and vile to label all of your customers the same.

      I went to look at some sweaters and it was very busy in the dressing rooms in addition the lack of customer service. I opted to just try on at home. After waiting for someone to ring me up and then be talked to like a child by a child I left feeling very sour about the experience. With being a single mom of 3 kids, husband overseas, homeschooling three kids and working a job I have been very busy. I went to return the sweaters as they were poor quality and the sizes way too big. I was one day past the 30 days and they would not make an exception. I was forced to take in store credit for a store I don't care to ever go back too. No understanding whatsoever.

      I purchased three items from American Eagle on November 19th. On December 4th, I attempted to return all three items due to fit and was told my return had an issue. The store employee informed me that he needed to contact customer service because the register would not allow a refund even though my purchase was within the last 30 days and eligible for a refund. After waiting in the store for 20 minutes while the store employee was on the phone, I was told that there was an error with the American Eagle system and that I would receive an email within 24 hours with instructions on how to return the clothes and receive a full refund. I never received an email. I contacted the company by phone and was told to wait three business days for them to correct the error. It has now been over a week, and ************* continues to email me to say they are working to correct their error and will let me know when I can return the merchandise and receive a full refund. It is unacceptable to wait for a refund with no timeframe on when that will be completed. In the meantime, they are earning interest on my money and refuse to initiate a refund. Don't shop there unless you know you will not need to return merchandise. Their customer service is by far the worst that I have experienced.

      After 20 years, I'm done with AE. They recently changed their return policy which, after over 20 years of it being the same, I didn't know about. I tried to exchange pants for a different color - they still had tags on and receipt, never worn. I was sent through hoops to call customer service, who sent in a review, and I waited days for an email, which was completely generic and impersonal. I responded with my situation, and they never acknowledged my long-time loyalty or situation/experience; instead, they asked me to understand THEM, a major corporation. They kept saying they value their customers, which they clearly do not. I wrote back again, only to get another generic response with the policy. I called and they kept repeating the policy. I finally got a supervisor but it took awhile on hold, in which time they ironically offered me a coupon (they could've just given me to exchange one-time exception I asked for). The supervisor gave the same response "it's impossible to do in the system" and I said but I'm not stupid, I know someone could do it if they wanted - you're a very big company. She kept repeating the policy, and I had asked her not to because I'm not an idiot. I kept saying I want to know they won't keep emailing me back and that I can file a complaint (it took a bit to get her to understand she could file a complaint and ask them not to email me about it). She was laughing at me at the end of the call. They don't care about their customers at all... I'm done with them. There are better companies out there who care more about their customers as well as the quality of their clothing.

      Absolutely awful customer service, did the refer a friend program for a friend who was staying over. Friend started a new account and placed an order for two MENS shirts (Im a F) and didnt have any cards with them, only had cash but since Id asked them to place an order so I could get the 30% off coupon as shown on the promotion, I let him use my card and he just gave me cash. It was under his name and new account. I reached out multiple times after that to get my coupon and never got it. **************** was more rude than any Ive ever met then essentially told me because my card was used, I wouldnt get my coupon. I will be letting my friend know so they can return their purchase since they dont even like the ** style and only placed their order to help me get the coupon because I had a big order I wanted to place. False advertising, scams to get you to do the marketing for them. A complete waste of hours of my life reaching out to ** by chat and phone because not only are they absolutely no help, but theyre very rude and if they tell you someone will follow up, forget it because it never happens.

      Well I would have given them - zero stars but it won't let me do that. my daughter bought two pairs of jeans yesterday one a size four and one a size six same brand same make everything she wanted to see if the sixes were going to be better than the fours but they ended up being too loose well when she put them on the little plastic tag came off so anyways I took them back and they're telling me that they won't take them back it's their policy unless you have every tag attached just like it was when you bought them.American eagle I didn't know your policy neither did my daughter but I guess I have never read the back of a receipt to return anything as long as you have the tags or it's in the box and you have the receipt and I wasn't even asking to return I was just asking to swap the item out for a smaller size you're able to return anything at any store anyways I will never purchase anything from American eagle again after that it's a policy they put into effect in July while they should review their policy and they should post it on their door when people walk in their store so they can see it not above their cash register where people don't look either or they should make sure everyone of their employees tells the customer that their policy is every tag must be in place even though when I got the second pair of jeans it didn't have the tag going across the back of it that said the size and the length but that was okay.******* *******

      American eagle is my favorite store to purchase vintage style clothing everything almost everything I've bought from here is in awesome condition. Umm not sure the review of company is accurate here it seems people only report problems which is understandable if it didn't arrive or came used or damged but my opinion is the rating is not accurate for this reason no one is stating oh this company is awesome nothing only negative reviews so I think that's why. It's an awesome store

      I called to alert them that my package had been misdelivered by UPS as soon as I saw that the proof of delivery photo was NOT my house. I was told to contact UPS & wait 3 days to see if it would be found. UPS directed me back to A&E. Fast forward 3 days & package still not delivered to my house. I called A&E to reorder or to get a refund & was told to wait another 2 days for investigation or pay more out of pocket to reorder. What!? It does not make sense when I alerted them immediately & they chose to do nothing for 3 days to find the location of my package. They will not get another dime of my money. Beware before you order that you may never get your order & American Eagle will not be in any rush to refund your money when they don't deliver.

      Poor customer service. *********************************************/********************** are only concern with their business. Forget customer satisfication. Their return policy is senseless. They prefer losing a loyal customer over return or exchanging $40 worth of their product. I wouldn't consider buying from Aerie, again.
