      We prepaid Perf-A-Lawn in full for lawn care services in 2024. At the start of the year, our lawn was lush and green. However, following a fertilizer application by Perf-A-Lawn in early July, most of our grass turned lifeless and brown, while our neighbors' lawns remained healthy. We have numerous photos documenting the damage. When we contacted Perf-A-Lawn, they tried to deny that their application is the cause, but mentioned that another customer in our neighborhood experienced similar problems. We requested that they restore our lawn, and they initially agreed. Unfortunately, the repair they attempted in the fall was insufficient, leaving many areas still damaged. When we reached out again to address the remaining issues, rather than offering a solution, they asked for an additional $300 for the repair work they had already done.

      *** began with Perf-a-Lawn in 2024. ***'s lawn suffered a fungal disease that attacked specific grass species within his lawn. That is why some sections appear stressed/dormant and other patches appear lush and green. Perf-a-Lawn was attentive when the issues were reported: 08/09/2024 a manager assessed the lawn and diagnosed severe Red Thread, a fungal disease that is not controlled with fertilizer and weed control applications. In an effort to both remedy the issue and minimize additional costs, the manager offered a Fungicide Application at 50% off the standard pricing. 08/15/2024 the Fungicide Application was completed. 09/03/2024 the same manager as before was sent to assess the state of the lawn; ***** determined the lawn was still suffering from fungus. A free over-seeding was offered to Mister provided he paid for the mechanical aeration to alleviate soil compaction and other concerns ***** noted in the lawn. Mister agreed. The cost of an aeration and over-seeding should have been $654.50. *** had agreed to pay for the aeration ($300), so why he is alleging we are asking for additional money for repair is unanswerable. We called him to discuss this (today), and he essentially said he already submitted the complaint and that we damaged the lawn. Please visit the ******************** page on the Penn State Extension to verify the information provided--we not only tried to remedy and educate, but we tried to breed out the possibility of future Red Thread infections by seeding the lawn with disease-resistant cultivars. Perf-a-Lawn does not guarantee seed germination because the manufacturers do, provided watering directions are followed. Thank you!

      Perf-a-Lawn incorrectly claimed that our lawn was affected by Red Thread fungus. The five attached photos, taken in early August just weeks after Perf-a-Lawns fertilizer application in July, show extensive lawn damage with no evidence of Red Thread fungus. Additionally, our eight neighboring propertiesdirectly adjacent and similarly sizedshow no signs of this fungus. It raises the question: if Red Thread was indeed present, why did it not affect the surrounding lawns?

      Our account is on record to only apply liquid applications. They came today and applied granular grub control. We were charged for 2 dry granular applications. I called to remind them that only liquids were to be put on our lawn. They said it is too late and our bill stands. They only have dry grub control and we were clear that only liquid is to be applied. They said since we did not specifically use the word GRUB, there's nothing they can do about it. We have been loyal customers for 4 years and they said we should know their rules and can only cancel anything in the off season. My grandchildren are visiting and the liquid applications dry in 4 hours. I do not want to let them on our grass until it rains whenever. Very disappointed in their business.

      Mrs. ****** has received a granular grub application since June 2023. Perf-a-Lawn performed regular lawn fertilization services as we have since the account was opened in 2021; this included both liquid and granular treatments. We do not offer "liquid only" programs because we find that certain times of the season there is more benefit to a slow-release granular application. Additionally, when this information was relayed on the phone it was refused. We have record keeping requirements as a pesticide company and have worked in this industry successfully since 1980. We apologize for your dissatisfaction, and were expecting a phone call from your husband. We are disappointed you chose to utilize a public forum instead of dealing directly with us. Thank you.

      I had a lawn service contract with Perf-a-Lawn the last two years. When I received the renewal contract in February, I sent them an email on February 2, 2024 questioning why the quote was so high, significantly higher than in years past. I received a phone call from them to discuss the rate. I was given a reduced rate, but I told them it was still too much money. I said I cannot afford the rate and that I was going to contact another company for service. I was told that I could have the quoted rate until March 11, 2024. At that time, I said, thank you, but I would not be calling back, I would be finding another lawn service. April 17, 2024 Perf-a-lawn serviced my lawn. I called Perf-a-lawn and questioned why they serviced my lawn when I NEVER verbally or in writing asked to renew my contract. I believe they either treated my lawn in error or they simply thought they could rope me into the contract. I have made several attempts to discuss this with them. I have explained that they have NOTHING in writing nor verbal consent to renew my contract. They continue to respond by threatening to turn me into a collection agency.I have EXCELLENT credit and I do not want it affected by something I did not do.I want to have this $105.93 invoice removed/deleted. Again, I never signed up for their services.

      Perf a lawn said they came and did 2 applications i did not authorize and charged me for the service. No calls or written agreement. They since sent my info to a collection agency. I want them fined for deceptive business paractices. They told me since i did pay for their services last year they automatically come out the next year with no agreements. ******* ******  Clear my bill and remove from collections.

      They came to our home & sprayed our lawn without our consent. The smell permeated into our house with windows closed. My husband then said they had sprayed our lawn. I called and spoke to a extremely rude man. He stated that I ordered this from last year. I said I did not. I signed nothing. I told them last year if we wanted them we would call. He stated that if I paid for it last year it was in contract. He raised his voice so I raised mine He was talking over me and called me a liar because I was loud & talking over my birds squawking & him not letting me get a word in. I told him I was chronically ill & didn’t answer my phone to everyone or read all my mail. He told me to be a woman & get out of bed & go look ay mail. Unbelievable that he would talk to a customer in this manner. Just because I got something last year does not hold me to it the next year. Never have I been so disrespected by a business. It would be like buying something & the seller assuming I want it the next year & just sending it to me & charge me. We were prior business owners & NEVER did anything by assumption. They did this to us on another prior year & we just paid the bill. We will not let this go this time. It upset me to be called a liar & to be a woman & take care of my things! Enough said.

      Customer ***** had continuous service with Perf-a-Lawn from 06/04/2020 until we were notified on 05/11/2023 the customer no longer wished to be serviced by Perf-a-Lawn. 

      Prior to service on 05/11/2023, which was credited in full due to Mrs. phone call into the office explaining her position, Perf-a-Lawn called the cell phone number on file and left a message regarding impending service. The message indicated to please contact Perf-a-Lawn if the application was not permissible. Voicemail was left at 3:22 PM on Mrs. cellphone number on 05/10/2023. Customer ***** never returned the message. Perf-a-Lawn serviced the lawn 05/11/2023. Customer called into Perf-a-Lawn, explained she did not want Perf-a-Lawn, the application was explained and credited, and the account was cancelled on 05/11/2023.

      I prepaid perf a lawn for a year of lawn treatment for 2022. On 8/12/22, I terminated service with them because their workers are incompetent. There have been multiple issues: the latest occurred recently when the technician killed half of the flowers in my yard. When I called and terminated the service, I requested a refund for the prepaid balance. I was told it would be refunded. I called again on 8/22/22 and was again assured I would be refunded. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THAT REFUND. I want the refund. Moreover, the technicians who work there are largely incompetent and, apparently, incapable or unwilling to follow direction.

      Company damaged fence. Company’s insurance paid for damages. Company canceled prepaid contract without even telling me. I called in to see when the next treatment would be. That’s how I found out. Money was refunded. The issue is not informing me. So now I have to try to find a new lawn company that I could’ve done weeks ago and not missed any treatments. I rely on these to maintain a healthy lawn and the flea and tick treatments for our rescue dogs. I emailed asking why this was canceled and was called today. I spoke to a Micah. He told me that the owner said he spoke to my previous lawn company and this behavior was habitual. Well I’ve never had a lawn company other than perf a lawn and there’s actually no way to even access that information anyway. I believe this is pretty slanderous about me and my wife’s character she is a medical professional and blatant lies told by this owner if heard by her patients could damage her reputation. The owner told this lie to other people obviously because his employee actually relayed that to me. I’d be more that willing to provide anything needed to show I’ve never had any other lawn service. How can a business just cancel a contract without telling you and then lie about the reason why? I would like to speak to the owner, I believe his name is Chris, directly about this. It’s borderline illegal behavior in my opinion.

      Perf a lawn sprayed my yard for weeds and applied fertilizer. They sprayed and killed ground cover along the side of the house. They also killed various flowers around my deck. I phoned them and left a message as no one answers their phones. They sent someone out without an appointment, who then wrote a reply indicating they had called and left a message on my phone for me to call. No call was ever received, but I did call and again left a message. I have also sent a letter stating this information. I requested that someone come here with an appointment to discuss damage before I pay the bill. They are threatening to turn me into a collection agency for non payment. Had been a customer for several years and never had this problem before.
