I went to Invent Help to patent an idea and paid them in full in 2015 while my husband was deployed. I have purchased 4 houses in between this time and rented 2 different apartments. All of the sudden in the last year, there is a hit on my credit from Universal Payment Corp for absolutely no reason impacting my credit score and ability to purchase another home. The random hit against my credit was from 2016, why 6 years later is it even there after paying Invent Help IN FULL at the time of my service. Come to find out it's a huge scam and yet this company is still allowed to get away with there. There is a class action lawsuit against both Invent Help and Universal Payment Corp. I want this off my credit and for it to stop impacting what was a perfect credit score that took me YEARS to get!Business response

I have received complaint ID number ******** that was submitted on July 27, 2022. The complainant signed a Retail Installment Contract on August 28, 2015 that obligated her to make three monthly payments beginning October 15, 2015. The final payment would become due on December 15, 2015. The account was paid in full on March 15, 2016. The account has a zero balance.
As a courtesy, Universal Payment Corporation will complete an automatic update through the Credit Reporting Agencies to assure the complainant that there are no derogatory blemishes on her credit record.

Have been making payments to this company for about 2 years with promises of getting my daughter's invention sent out to potential buyers. They have not followed through or sent out list of companies no longer in business as a potential buyer. I made a $2,000 deposit to expedite the invention and for it to be sent out to more companies. Nothing has come of the expedited process, I have not gotten anything from the company other than a pamphlet and a monthly bill. I'd like refunded if at all possible. The company they work through is Inventhelp, who has not followed through their promises either.Business response

We have received the customer complaint that was submitted on December 7, 2021, Complaint ID *********
The complainant signed a retail installment contract on May 22, 2020 for 36 monthly installments for services that were contracted with Inventhelp.
Upon reviewing the complainant's concerns, Universal Payment Corporation has referred this matter to Invehelp's customer service department for resolution. It is our understanding that Inventhelp will reach out to the complainant to address their concerns.
