I purchased a digital camera in the box at goodwill in Uniontown PA on 12/12/23 for 24.99 when I got home to try the camera it did not work. I return back to the store 24 hours later with the receipt and the cashier won't even listen to me they just keep saying we have a no return policy. So they can just sell broken items and not do anything about it? I could not test the item in the store because it needed batteries and I had none with me. I also reached out to SWPA Goodwill through email and they obviously don't care so I would like to get my money back or a gift card. I know it's not much but goodwill gets all thai stuff for free and charges insane amounts on broken items they don't even check when they claim they are helping people and then won't accept a return seems pretty ridiculous.

I purchased a camera for my son … before I purchased it. I asked cashier if I can return it. If it doesn’t work, she said yes ..I don’t have a lot of money and I work hard for my money…the fact is the respect that you have for your customers… you get your items for free …Your stores shouldn’t sell something that’s broken…” I should be able to return it within a reasonable time returned… which I did very next day …the manager there, In Hazlet store New Jersey told me I cannot return it because not electronic “well if anything needs batteries or a plug in it should be returnable if it’s not working …because they are not checking the items it in the back) to make sure it worked before they sell it … it my eyes it’s stealing from my pockets to fill yours and that’s considered robbing me … I would appreciate it if I can get my money back or store credit… it really isn’t right … I understand it’s a goodwill But I also understand you shouldn’t steal from others either…. I would approach this issue until someone understands and respects and returns my money.. Thanks you ..it’s not the amount it’s about respecting your customers and doing the right thing when it’s not right… and you know its not right..Thanks

Goodwill advertises a "color of the week" sale regarding the color of their price tags. Tags of whatever color are supposed to be half off during the week and $.99 on Sunday. The Goodwill employees in Elkins, WV (and also Morgantown Bridgeport and Buckhannon) have informed me that every Sunday they are instructed to remove all clothing of whatever color is going on sale Monday. Firstly, this is misleading and false advertising, as there are no sale color tags left to sell during the week; It all gets taken to the back of the store and held until the following week. This seems illegal. The other problem I have with this is that on multiple occasions I have witnessed employees being berated and yelled at by furious customers that realize the scam. The employees are only doing what they are told, and it is disgraceful that they should have to be abused by customers all because the Goodwill is cheating their customers. I was angry too amd can understand why people are angry. It makes me feel physically ill for the poor employees. They should not have to defend themselves when the company (whom advertises itself as a non-profit, but has shareholders and stocks) is being so unfair and manipulative, touting half-off prices but then removing all eligible merchandise before customers can see it. This has been going on for months at the very least. I wrote to the Goodwill of sw PA a few times asking for an explanation, but they ignored me. It's disgusting and something needs done about it. Thanks for listening.

I have been doing business with ************.com. I won several books from this location. The total weight of the items was 4 lbs. The reason for my inquiry is the shipping cost 48.00 plus some change. The books totaled 34.00 plus some change. I realize the company does a great deal for the community. The price of shipping is unreasonable. The price for shipping is calculated on weight of the items, 4 lbs for 48.00. I am sure the actual price of shipping is considerably less. These items could be shipped via media mail. Shipping FedEx ground will not expedite the speed that these items will be received. The website allows for combining shipping. Why bother when paying the original cost for the shipping. I will charlaine brings to pay for items I am currently bidding on as the bidding process is a binding contract. I do not know if I will buy beyond these purchases.

I am writing to you to let you know about a horrible experience I have encountered with your company. I regularly purchase items from your online auction site shopgoodwill.com. Very recently, I made the following purchase you can find below in this email. I am horrified at what occurred. The item was NOT advertised as a FACSIMILE signed or a FACSIMILE AUTOGRAPHED item. Instead, it was listed in a manner for a buyer to assume the item was HAND SIGNED by the artists in the print. The item was personalized and shows signed in multiple color pens which even more makes you think this item is HAND SIGNED by the artists. I recently did a very deep dive on google and found this was actually a FACSIMILE signed item and one was sold on Ebay for $.099 plus $15 shipping and handling. When I discovered this I immediately contacted the branch of Goodwill through the online ticket system under ticket number *******. I was basically told that I could return the item with a 25% restocking fee and lose my $50 in shipping cost too. This is completely unacceptable. I would NEVER have bid on this item if it had been properly listed in the first place. I am asking you to please provide me with a FULL refund for this item. I will be more than glad to send it back once it arrives to me through the post office. I do not have the means to flush away $250 on a fake item that I will just throw away. Please help me resolve this issue. I support your organization every year by spending a lot of money both online and in your stores. I hope this relationship can continue
