    Newman Motors sold me a car with a lot of costly repairs. Six months later and less than 500.00; I have a car that doesn't work. My hard-earned money down the drain. Avoid this rat trap place of an establishment. I have over 5K worth of estimated repairs.

    Marguarite Clark purchased (2) vehicles on 6/22/23

    1.  2005 Jeep GR Cherokee Ser# ***************************** with 191,290 miles

    2. 2004 Chev Trailblazer Ser# *************************** with 178,109 miles -- she is sole purchaser

    Vehicle #1 -- '05 Jeep she is co-purchaser with Mr. ******** ******

    Both vehicles were sold AS IS - NOT GUARANTEED

    The purchaser will bear the entire expense of repairing or correcting any defects that presently exhist or that may occur in the vehicle!

    ENCLOSED:  Bill of Sale stating they were sold AS IS -- NOT GUARANTEED & Federal Buyers Guide stating the same thing.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    The dealer should've disclosed that both cars needed a transmission and engine. Basically, I brought a car shell that doesn't work. Mr. N***** stated that they were good working vehicles.

    As per the last conversation I had with you, both these cars were sold "As Is - No Warranty. That the customer is responsible for any repairs that are needed?  

    Car #1    '05 Jeep Gr Cherokee   191,290 miles

    Car#2    '04 Chev. Trailblazer       178,114 miles

    She knows how these were purchased.  I never stated that they were in good working order.  All these cars need some repairs.  That is why they are sold:  As Is - No Guarantee.  They were purchased June 22, 2023.  These vehicles are 15/20 years old!  And sell for approx $3500.00.
