This complaint is being filed after attempting a resolution with the business at the time and no reciprocation was given.Series of events:Friday September 6th my car was towed from my residence.- I have lived at this residence for a year now and have always had my car registered with a parking permit.Later that day after my car was towed I called Halfmoon about the possible misunderstanding and that my car is registered and believe it was towed by accident. They seemed understanding but when I went to retrieve my car they were firm that I had to pay the $275 to get it back. I could have left my car there until a resolution was met but that night I needed to drive to ******* air force base for I was starting orders and couldn't find an alternative resolution in the time constraint.I believe this issue is due to a number of failed planning/administrative/management problems with the towing company (Halfmoon towing) and the residence at which I live (*******************) and the work agreement contract they have between them. My lease contract states that a vehicle being parked must be registered with the management office and that a warning will be left with the individual if a vehicle is in violation of the parking policy. In my instance and this tow, there was no such warning given and the tow company did not verify if my vehicle was wrongfully parked. Additionally, I will add that I have parked the same car here for more than a year now, and no one else here has the same car, so any tow driver worth his salt would have been able to recognize this car has always been here with a permit. Not a lot of cars park in this residence and there are always 20+ empty parking spaces. I am seeking to get refunded the $275 fee I had to pay and $10 **** I got, to get my car back and a review of the business practices Halfmoon has with the residence for verification if a vehicle is registered/authorized to park there and follow the warning system described in the lease.

Towed my vehicle on 12/17 from Texas roadhouse and literally DRUG it down the street n tore out my whole front end and trashed 2 brand new tires! I lost my job in the process had to pay for another tow and for vehicle to sit in the garage for another almost 3 weeks. I would NEVER recommend this company.. they obviously don't want to reimburse for breaking customers property on purpose and need way training!! DONT USE THESE GUY, HORRIBLE SERVICE and WORST with follow-up. °°I do have pics of vehicle and receipts, but due to incompatible operating device. They won't upload. This is beyond ridiculous! And borderline criminal!!

This complaint was brought to our attention through the road club that dispatched us (Agero/Swoop). In the mean time they have made a settlement with the vehicle's owner to resolve this issue. Agero also said that there was not enough evidence to hold us responsible for any damage so we were not held liable, but they did pay some of the claim in good faith. Agero spoke with the garage that did the repairs, and the garage claims that the car already had four bald tires, suspension issue. The tie rod could possibly be damaged from towing, but also could not. Vehicle owner never reached out to us direct or we would have tried to resolve this ourselves.

    Thank you,
