I hired this company through ***************** to move from Utah to Ohio. They damaged all of my stuff. They claim they made an insurance claim through their insurance and it would take 3-9 months to process. It’s been 9 months now. I have tried to contact them multiple times with no response.

DOT # ******* JOB # ******* I first contracted with united best moving to move my things from South Dakota to Florida I paid them a total of $2,100.00 they then contracted All Star Moving LLC to move my belongings. When the truck first came to get my things they were late with inadequate room in the truck. They were supposed to come the next day beteeen 8am-12 they didnt get there till 2pm. In the moving process the 1 and only mover damaged a bedroom door, and smashed my sons finger trying to get a safe out of the door. The contract was signed 1/16/2023. Per contract at the very latest my things were supposed to be at my address in FL by 2/24/2023. My belongings were not delivered until 3/19/2023. They charged me a total of 6,428.00. My things were well past the delivery date. They were giving me excuse after excuse as to where my things were. The moving company that brought my things to me was a completely different company than the one I hired. He said that moving company lied about where my things were. They were just sitting in a warehouse until he picked them up on 3/12 and delivered my things on 3/19.

I spoke to ****** Star Moving and Storage on Oct 5, 22. The binding estimate was $7458.00, of which $2000.00 was paid that day the remainder upon loading and unloading to move a two-bedroom apartment and a 10x10 ft storage unit. The maximum date for delivery was 30 d. On Nov 28th ****** Star told me to pay $1800 more, or no move. Dec 4th the movers didn’t arrive until after 11am. They demanded $3923.99 for a walking fee even though the initial binding estimate included it. On the 5th, they charged another $5803.99. This was a new total of $17,600.47. I could only pay $2000. The remaining $7876.48 is still payable at unloading. They said it was 600 CF more when I had paid for 1338CF. A 26-foot truck only holds 1682 CF and there was at least 2ft left at the top, so well under 1938 CF that I was charged for. I had an 827 sq ft apt and a 100sq ft storage unit. The company sent two movers who claimed their employer wouldn't let them stay overnight in a hotel and one of the two drivers said he didn't have a driver license. The agreement: • Expert advice throughout the course of move. (The experts smelled of marijuana. I had to tell them how to wrap items) • Disassembly of all standard furniture. (I disassembled all furniture. They brought no tools) • Wrapping of all furniture blankets. (I supplied blankets and had to tell them how to wrap things) • Itemized inventory indicating condition of items at origin. (There was no inventory, manifest or stickers) • Loading & unloading of all goods. (I loaded items throughout the move) • All transportation, taxes, tolls, mileage, and fuel surcharges. (All Star recharged us for this) • No elevator charges. (They charged a walking distance fee of $2375.00) • No charge for moving pads. We requested delivery on Dec 19th for the 27th of December 2022. We have yet to receive delivery as of Feb 3rd. Packing for 827 CF. (We packed all but 12 bx and they charged again)

In conjunction, original BBB complaint #********.***************** contracted All Star Moving & Storage (Pottstown, PA) to move my possessions from Kanab, UT to Alton, TX. Job # ********, created by ******* *** ***** (Broker). I paid ******* *** *****, via echeck twice, total $1632.45. All Star Moving arrived 10/27/22 (7 hours late) and picked up my belongings. I paid them by credit card $1011. Supposed to deliver on 11/3/22 to Alton, TX. FIVE weeks later I AM STILL WAITING for delivery. NO body seems to care. Spoke to All Star Moving manager (Alex) on 11/18/22. He said delivery by 11/23/22. Received text by mover/driver on 11/21/22 stating "loading truck will be there in a few days". Received text on 11/25/22 from driver/mover, promising to call me within hour. NO call. I called driver/mover on 11/28/22 (today), no answer. I called Alex, All Star Moving manager on 11/28/22, "truck coming to you in a few days" maybe Thursday. Today, 11/28, received text from mover/driver, "will call you within 20 mins". NO call. Hour later another text with a promise to call. NO call. Another text afternoon today to call me later. NO call. One excuse, their truck was in a minor accident 4 weeks ago. Truck was empty & went off the road, not a collision. As a service, they should do whatever necessary to fulfill their commitment. As I stated no one cares, no initiative to fulfill their end of the contract. If this is All Star Moving's, modus operandi, why would Venture Van Lines contract their services? Thursday, 12/1/22 will be 5 weeks since my possessions were picked up on 10/27/22. I just want my stuff delivered. If not, can BBB recommend a successful attorney in such matters? DESIRED RESOLUTION: if ******* *** ***** is the Broker, not the mover, why are they charging and collecting a Fuel Surcharge ($190.35) when All Star Moving, with the moving truck, is also charging a Fuel Surcharge ($190.35).
