I purchased a used bike from ECHD back in July. They were quick and super helpful when taking my money, but the DAY I picked it up, it had issues. Struggled to start, would stall when idling, it would spit and sputter, wouldn’t shift into neutral, felt like it had a mis fire. I brought this to their attention the week I bought it, and the service manger, Tyler, just gas lit me and said “that’s just how Harleys run.” Shortly after that, it died on my girlfriend and I out on a ride. Flashing check engine light, the whole thing. Had to push it across three lanes of traffic to get off the highway. I limped it up to ECHD after getting it towed home, and was told it had a vacuum leak and that I should replace the air intake. And ,of course, they would be more than happy to “help” me purchase a new one at a “great deal” (10% above average retail). They ignored all the other issues i mentioned and “fixed” the vacuum leak. It was STILL not running right, fowling spark plugs and dumping fuel like a diesel truck. I took it back a second time. Management got incredibly cagey and treated me like some hobo sleeping on a stoop that no one wants to have to tell to leave. I felt badly for Clay who had to keep acting as middle man because no one above him would actually talk to me face to face. Days later Tyler called to tell me it now needed to be tuned, it apparently had an aftermarket tuner no one knew was on it. The service manger told me straight up that the bike shouldn’t have been on the floor, that they meant to do some work to it. Then he gave me a song and dance about how his dyno tech tuned it, he’s been doing this for 15 years, it’s tuned up and running like a beast. Come to find out, all they did was flash the factory stock tune on it to shut me up. Why lie? They sold me a lemon, and have done nothing but slap band aids on and try to brush me off. There is a level of quality you expect when you pay Harley Dealership prices that I have not experienced at all.
