    Wednesday April 12, 2023 at approx 830pm my fiancé went through the DQ drive through and purchased (2) large blizzards, one being a puppy chow and the other being a royal New York strawberry cheesecake blizzard! I was eating my cheesecake blizzard and got a weird taste in my mouth and thought maybe it just needed stirred so I did just that and took another bite and it tasted like a chemical! The taste was so nasty that I had to spit it out onto the spoon and placed the complete blizzard into my garbage! With that being said and still having the absolute worse chemical taste in my mouth I told my fiancé and she said her puppy chow one was fine so I kissed her and she tasted it from my tongue! I called DQ and a lady answered and I asked to speak with a manager she told me she was one, would not give me a name! I explained the situation and she said I was the only complaint and they sold how many of them today/tonight! I told her do you really think I’d call and lie about it tasting like chemical she said unfortunately she does deal with that and told me to bring it in and I said it’s already in the garbage! She took my first and last name and phone number and said she would look into it and check it all out! She said there’s no chemical used and the cheesecake chunks are stored in a refrigerated or freezer and a new container was just opened and she told me she tasted them and they were fine! I also asked her so I’m not going to get any type of credit for another item more less she told me no! So I told her well I’m sure you will call me back and say you didn’t find anything wrong with the machine and/or item! I told her she was being reported to t he BBB! It’s been almost 20 minutes and I honestly still have that after taste of Chemical in my mouth! I’m praying I don’t get sick! She was a very ignorant individual and NOT manager material! The order was approx 830pm on 4/12/23 with the total being 12.80 and paid for with my debit card!

    On April 12, 2023, the call was received by the general manager. It was stated to the customer that we did not receive any other complaints and we would inspect all equipment and product for quality. Once that occurred to ensure the customers safety a resolution would be offered. After careful inspection of equipment and products we found no issues in the business. This was an isolated incident, with no other complaints to date (4/19/2023). The regional manager did reach out to the customer notifying them of no issues found in the store and a replacement of the order was given as a resolution.
