BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning customers alleging that the start date of their project was continually delayed and rescheduled, and that work was not finished within a reasonable timeframe. They also state that they requested a refund but did not receive it. Customers claim that they were not kept informed about when to work to be done, and that multiple phone calls to the business were not returned. Consumers claim that workers showed up without proper equipment, and that debris was left on their property. They have also stated that the quality of the workmanship was poor, and that their property was damaged in the process.

On November 4, 2022, DK Home Improvement Company responded to the BBB, and provided the following response to the pattern of customer complaint:

We agree we have been behind on start dates due to supplies on back order & the hiring of new installers which in turn will affect finish dates.  We have sent back over $150,000.00 in refunds which can be documented. My foreman kept customers informed regarding delays etc.  Information was passed on to him when customers did not call him directly.  Disagree with statement "proper equipment" On the rare occasion when there was something missing the crew would inform him & he would provide what was needed.  I disagree with debris was left. After the completion of work, Ed follows up & clears out debris from the work performed. I disagree with poor quality and workmanship. We do beautiful work & have a very extensive happy customer reference list. I disagree with property damage. Have no record of property being damaged, & do have Company Insurance in the event of this occurring.
